### "VERIZON CONNECT - A+"

February 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, Verizon Connect is a powerful tool that delivers real value once you invest the time to understand it. It’s not the simplest system out of the box, but it becomes incredibly useful for improving visibility, accountability, and decision-making across a fleet. While there are areas that could be more user-friendly, the insights and operational control I gain outweigh the frustrations. For anyone serious about fleet management, it’s a solution that earns its place.

Pros

Verizon Connect has given me real peace of mind when it comes to managing vehicles and people in the field. I can see where assets are in real time, track routes, and quickly understand what’s actually happening day to day instead of guessing. The reporting is detailed and makes it easier to hold drivers accountable while also improving efficiency and safety. I appreciate how reliable the GPS tracking is and how much control it gives me over operations without needing constant check-ins.

Cons

The biggest challenge for me has been the learning curve and overall complexity of the platform. There are a lot of features, which is great in theory, but it can feel overwhelming and not always intuitive at first. Some reports take time to customize, and I’ve found that making small changes isn’t always as quick as I’d like. Pricing can also feel high, especially for smaller teams, and customer support responses can be inconsistent depending on the issue.

### "Verizon Connect review"

April 8, 2025

4.0

Over all I felt like Connect was a good program, it just needed a little bit of improvements to be successful.

Pros

platform easy to navigate and use; provides real-time tracking and detailed reports

Cons

Equipment didnt seem reliable and customer service was bad.

### "Lower tier GPS service"

May 5, 2026

2.0

It has been an issue from the first day of using until now. half of the devices go bad easily with no fixes readily available. it is a money grab because if you need support there is almost none. if i needed a new device that was sent almost immediately.

Pros

Simplicity of use when it works, if you need a new device it is readily available even though it may not work or it breaks very soon after install.

Cons

customer support lacking, a lot of features are missing that many other gps tracking providers use. Most of the issues cannot be solved on your own and you need to contact customer service in which they take days to respond.

### "Pros and cons of Verizon Connect "

April 20, 2026

5.0

This is a great tool that helps us keep track of all fleet vehicles within the company and ensures all employees are adhering to local laws and company policies.

Pros

This software allows us to keep up to date gps on all fleet vehicles as well as monitor speed and cell phone usage.

Cons

Sometimes there is a lag for gps location. Also depending on the maps, speed limits are not updated when new roads are constructed and speed limits have changed.

### "I recommend Verizon Connect "

December 12, 2025

5.0

Overall, I really enjoy using Verizon Connect for work. We are a small company so it's exactly what we need.

Pros

easy to use, able to keep up with everyone clocking in and out, the price is very affordable for small company, the fleet part is great, dispatching is easy

Cons

Verizon Connect did have a few glitches here and there. They could do better updates so it could perform better.

### "Keeping trucks and shippers on the same page."

December 5, 2025

5.0

Since we set this up, I spend less time chasing drivers for updates. I glance at a map, confirm ETAs, and can reassure nervous shippers without dialing half the fleet.

Pros

I like how Verizon Connect lets me watch trucks move in real time and match loads to drivers quickly so I can keep customers informed and avoid messy back-and-forth calls.

Cons

What bugs me is when the mobile app lags or drops a driver; during the tight pickup window, even the shortest delay makes planning more stressful than it needs to be.

5.0

I loved using Verizon Connect once I got the full version of it because I was able to keep track of all the trucks I have in my company.

Pros

I loved the fact that it has advanced GPS fleet tracking software so you can basically find whoever or whatever business you are looking for while you are travaeling.

Cons

I wanted to try to use the software just for myself but the company wouldnt allow it because you have to have a unit of 5 or more to use the software.

### "Great Functionality and Reliability "

April 16, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Verizon Connect was generally positive, but with a few frustrations. The platform is really strong when it comes to features, especially for tracking vehicles, monitoring driver behavior, and improving efficiency. It’s clear that it’s designed for businesses that need detailed data and control over their fleet operations.

Pros

The platform is strong when it comes to features and functionality, especially for businesses that need detailed fleet tracking and data. It offers tools like GPS tracking, route optimization, and driver performance monitoring, which can really help companies improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Cons

While the features are strong, these issues with support, contracts, and usability are the main things I liked least.

### "DO NOT BUY VERIZON CONNECT"

March 27, 2024

1.0

Do not buy Verizon Connect. Stay away from this at all costs. We made the change to Verizon Connect due to the customer service and reliability of the service that was sold to us. Unfortunately, it was a complete lie in what they offer and you will be stuck in a contract no matter what service you have. From the start, we did not have all devices working properly or set up in the system. It took hours on the phone and over a couple months to finally get all the devices working properly. If you request to have them email you to respond to a support case, they will not. They will consistently call you and leave you messages throughout the day at random, even if you request them to schedule a call. They would even call us and leave messages about issues that were not what we had. After 6 months, we still have not been able to set up users on the account. We attempted to end the contract due to these issues and they said it would cost us $4000 to get out of it because they had resolved all the concerns. Yet after 6 months of a request, I still do not have a user set up and have received no response to that request. They do not know what is going on in their customer service because I would receive multiple messages from different people that did not all have the same information. Overall, I would stay clear of Verizon for any business if possible. They have never shown they can offer quality customer service and they will charge you for every month regardless if the service you are getting is what is in the contract. I will be leaving this contact once it is complete. I would recommend “Track your Truck” if you want another possible option for your fleet gps needs.

Pros

Nothing. Do not waste your time on buying this service.

Cons

It is a horrible service and company to work with. See further details in the next question.

There were a few bumps with customer support, but the platform itself worked well most of the time.

Pros

The app was pretty convenient. I could check in on things even when I wasn’t at my desk.

Cons

Honestly, the biggest issue for me was the customer service. It was really hard to get timely help when I needed support, and sometimes the reps didn’t seem familiar with the system.

Cons

Terrible experience. You're locked into a 3 year agreement with no option for cancellation, other than buyout of the entire contract. The website for office login is horrendous and hasn't been updated since 2014. The mobile app is even worse.

### "Exceptionally dissappointing - Verizon Connect (Multiple Contracts)"

May 3, 2024

3.0

Extremely poor. Had to threaten Legal action to absolve our Company from 5G Contracts that should never have been facilitated given all other 15 vehicles with Verizon Connect devices were 3G relative devices

Pros

Vehicle Tracking system worked well, online system was suitable for Company requirement

Cons

Where do I start. Rather then write all and sundry in detail, I will list in point form the various issues that our Company has encountered with Verizon Connect, with the contracts and additional units constantly updated and facilitated due to new fleet vehicles and vehicle upgrades as would be expected with any sizeable Company Fleet requirement. 1. Lack of communication and supplied understanding from Verizon relative to product rollover at end of initial Contract (supplied in infinitely small fine print in Contract when should have been verbally relevant and in my opinion absolutely required information supplied in detail at the time of Contract agreement on numerous contract signing occasions) 2. Lack of communication relative to supplied and contracted 3G devices becoming redundant during the course of applied multi year contracts 3. Expensive cost value at $40 per month for each Fleet vehicle GPS, despite 17 various Vehicles in fleet ($1440 over the course of the Term, no additional discounts applied post the initial 36 Month Contract rollover period despite all Hardware costs being covered during initial 36 Month contract) 4. Prior Contracts rolled over despite 3G devices being redundant during the contracted period 5. Pressure applied to sign new multi year contracts with required upgraded 4G rollover devices, miscommunication relative to this requirement and held to debatable Terms and Conditions when this was raised as an issue 6. New contracts signed up after Verizon Connect was aware that 3G devices were to be made redundant, and 4G rollout was already in place through Verizon Connect - Our Company was absolutely not advised at time of order, Verizon supplied the new 4G devices at the time of order, then held these new Contracts as payout leverage against signing all other 3G devices (fleet of 15 in our case) across to multi year contracts when we requested payout figure on all exisiting Company contracts. Signing multi year contracts was not feasible due to many of the vehicles requiring upgrading at the time. 6. Incorrectly heavily inflated contract payout figure initially provided upon request amongst the numerous contracts that we had in place, once again this payout figure (over $10,000) was used as leverage to try and force us to sign new contracts for 4G migration on the 3G units supplied 7. Complaint Management system took many months to action, with overseas service controllers involved with limited english and understanding 8. Inept and forceful local Management here in Australia, who would not take "No" as an answer despite the questionable Business actions involved, eventually being forced to remove questioned Contracts, after external threats for remedial action also forced to be undertaken by our Company.

Reason for choosing Verizon Connect

Appeared to have the best product offering at the time. This is now clearly not the case, and our Company's own personal dealings with Verizon have been extremely regrettable, to the point where we have been using another Vehicle Tracking Company while continuing to pay an exorbitant amount for Verizon services that we have not used since mid 2023. Thankfully we are coming to the end of our contracts at present and can move away from this situation

### "Customer Service Nonexistent"

January 10, 2020

3.0

Overall it has been very frustrating to work with VerizonConnect. They seem to have no urgency when it comes to fixing issues and complaints/concerns from their customers. They tend to not respond to emails and do not value communication with the customer. It has become very obvious that they do not communicate internally between their various departments. It feels as if each of their departments are completely separate companies that don't get on the same page with one another. Maybe this review will finally get someone to respond to our emails. It has been over a month of us not being able to pay our initial invoice because they have not gotten us the proper documentation we need in order to pay. Out billing department consistently has tried to reach out to them to get this information and to connect with they billing department but nobody has responded to any of the requests. I wouldn't be surprised if they now charge us a late fee even though we have been actively trying to pay.

Pros

The actual software seems to be working well with our fleet. My scheduling department has been testing this software out on a handful of our work trucks for the past few months and now want to install it for our entire fleet (30-40 or so trucks) so that would suggest that the software works, and is easy enough to use and worth the money.

Cons

The customer service at VerizonConnect. I can go weeks waiting for an email back from their team. It has been confirmed with their various departments that they do not communicate with each other internally so each of the departments I have had to interact with has had no idea what was going on / what issues were caused by their fellow departments. For example, the sales team got our business and sent us our contract to sign. We signed and paid for the services and sent it back. Over a month goes by of not hearing from them. I sent multiple requests for an update on the process and had no luck hearing back from anyone. Once they finally responded they gave me the contact information for some representative we had never heard of. I immediately reached out and a week goes by and I never heard back. Skip to another MONTH later and the product is finally installed. Apparently, their sales rep stopped being concerned with our contract and his response to our frustration with how long this all took and our disappointment in the lack of communication was to put blame on a different department and say it was all out of his control. Their customer service team / sales team said that this is something that "doesn't happen" (i.e. the lack of responding, the long wait time, the confusion between their departments) but similar situations have happened TWO MORE TIMES since then.

Reason for choosing Verizon Connect

We chose VerizonConnect based on their sales pitch. They presented an awesome product and we were very excited about it. Once they secured our contract and payment it absolutely felt like they dropped all interest in keeping us happy as a customer. From the installation process taking MONTHS, to the lack of communication from their team, and the overall frustration of having to message, and remessage, and remessage, and call and remessage...... overall not a positive experience. If the actual software wasn't working so well with our company fleet we would absolutely end our contract with them and find a company that can provide us with a software that is just as functional but that actually has consistent and accessible customer service.

### "Poor hardware and software, and HORRIBLE customer service. "

January 21, 2023

1.0

I have a total of 9x vehicle camera/trackers and 3x non-powered assets for my firm from Verizon Reveal.I have had this service for less than 6 months. The first 1-2 months everything seemed to function correctly, tracking and camera alerts. The past 3-4 months have been a complete nightmare. The camera's will go offline constantly - We have had a 3rd party tech out multiple times to "fix" them... They just power them down and re-install and reset. This works for 1-2 weeks and then they go back offline. The trackers, over the past month, will no longer work consistently, some of the vehicles will not provided updates for days to weeks. The biggest issue I have with all of this is Verizon/Reveals COMPLETE lack of customer service. As soon as these issues started I reached out... It would take weeks to get even a response from the Repair Department. This is after I call (wait on hold for 30-45 minutes each time), email and online message multiple times and am bounced around to a few different departments. My "Customer Service Managers" that were assigned (2x of them) have still not responded - I have emailed them each 10+ times to date, and literally no response of any way shape or form. However, I cannot even get the time of day from ANYONE in their customer service department.

Pros

Simplicity of installation and the web/app interface are all overall good.

Cons

I have also never been offered any type of credit/assistance with a service that I pay north of $ 300 a month for, and have been able to actually use less than 50%... I am at my wits end and EXTREMELY disappointed with the service, and the complete lack of support... I realize now I should have done more reading online, seeing a lot of other firms having similar issues.

Reason for choosing Verizon Connect

It seemed like a great all in one service that checked all the boxes for our needs at an affordable rate.

### "Don't Buy This Product"

December 5, 2016

1.0

The sales pitch "demo" is really great. I was promised this product would do everything I needed it to do and more. It is on the more expensive end of fleet/service software but I figured if it did literally everything we needed it to do, it was worth the money for the time it would save us. I was very hesitant to sign a year contract up front and shouldn't have. The first red flag was that it took literally 3 months to get my data (and then not even all of it) transferred from our old system to the new one. Apparently the implementation team is very busy. But they kept charging me, despite the fact I couldn't use the software because my data wasn't in it. Things went downhill from there. The last piece of bad news from Verizon WORK is that I attempted to cancel the automatic contract renewal via phone, and was told it was canceled via phone, and of course it wasn't. After sending a detailed email CCing my attorney, they did let me out of the renewal contract, but didn't refund me that month's payment (including the a hefty "renewal" fee).

Pros

It's online. The IT department is very polite.

Cons

Just a few: Sales guy said I could run reports for commission pay for my employees. I cannot. I had to buy another software to do that. I was told I could import all of the data from my previous application. I cannot. I’m stuck having to use both applications because a lot of the data that was imported was jumbled and things like pricing on jobs is missing. I was told this application synced seamlessly with Quickbooks. It doesn’t. DO NOT sync it with QB if you charge sales tax. I’ve had to manually delete all of the invoice data in Quickbooks costing me hundreds of dollars. Verizon WORK is very frustrating to use. The implementation team had to give me several work-arounds to make it work for my business. One of them requires us to make multiple “jobs” for every actual job which creates a logistical nightmare and it takes a lot of extra admin work. This is because you cannot invoice with the taskworker, only with the fleetworker. The phone app is not intuitive. For instance, you have to not only hit “save” but also “update” to save anything on an estimate and you can only update one thing at a time. If you try to change the description and then add an item without saving and updating first, when you go back to the estimate the description is gone. Then, after you hit “update” it kicks you out of that estimate and you have to sort and re-find the estimate to add information. This is something that yes, I can work around. But it’s very frustrating and takes so much longer. The phone app also crashes a lot. Often enough I started saving everything I do in notes and then copy and pasting them to the app hoping they’d be there when I get back to my computer. I cannot use the new version of Verizon WORK at all, because if I open a job there’s no scroll bar. Also, the system automatically changes the time of the job to 5 hours later in the day. I repeatedly asked for a fix for this to no avail.

### "Be Careful"

July 25, 2022

3.0

When it works, finding out where machines and trucks are is a nice feeling not having to worry where everything is.

Pros

Being able to track where trucks and equipment is has been helpful.

Cons

Customer Service is a big disappointment, when you go to get something fixed, you have to jump through all these hoops, which eventually gets you nowhere. I have tried to reach out and express my frustrations with this company with little to no feedback.

Reason for choosing Verizon Connect

I chose Verizon Connect because I was sold on the idea that my trailers would track, I didn't know much about GPS tracking companies before I got started with them. Now that i know more about it, I wouldn't do it again. Such awful customer service. I have had 4 different reps in 2 years, and when a case is quote unquote supposed to get going, it eventually doesn't get anywhere. So, the time you put in to get things handled gets nowhere. When you pay a lot for a company to help you and it doesn't, it is ridiculous.

### "The software is okay, the organization is not"

June 14, 2021

2.0

Pros

We are able to see the location of our vehicles and assets. This came in handy when we had a vehicle stolen 2 years ago. The geofence and harsh driving reports alerted us to the fact that it had been stolen. We were able to recover the vehicle quickly and provide the reports for the criminal investigation.

Cons

The software is not an issue, the problems are within the organization. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. We have had at least 6 representatives in the past 4 years. Requests have been dropped, we ended up getting charged for a whole year for a unit that was supposed to have been cancelled. No matter what I provided in the way of email threads and documentation on the requests I had sent to cancel the unit at the point of expiry, I was told that because the documents were not completed on their end for the cancellation, the best they could do was to put in for a cancellation at the end of the next year. I could not get to speak to a manager or someone with any authority no matter how many times I requested it. In another instance we had decide to add the non powered asset trackers to some of our equipment. It took 3 months for the units to arrive and then another month to solve the install and activation issues. We were promised credits and never received any. Every time we have needed to add a new unit or make a change the process is agonizing as we have had to work with multiple departments and it seems like none of them are connected or have all of the information. We have had issues with payments not being applied to our account that have disrupted our service with no compensation. The list goes on really. If we weren't stuck in a contract on several trucks and pieces of equipment we would have ditched this system long ago.

### "Dipping Your Toe into the Abyss of Digital Transformation "

December 12, 2019

4.0

It is a phenomenal step towards a digital environment for the under served home services sector. Implementing Verizon Connect Work is a step in the right direction! At the end of the day Verizon is a telecom company and looking to upsell their products into your business.

Pros

I love the fact that Verizon Connect focuses on the technologically under served realm of the home services market. These business's technology initiatives take a hard stop at email and spreadsheets. When implemented and used correctly, Verizon Connect Work (formerly Fleetmatics WORK) can bring to the surface revenue opportunities that business owners and stakeholders were oblivious to. Being typically their first go at new technology, Verizon Connect Work is usually welcome because of the ease of implementation and use. The technology is priced right and the ROI is enormous! The ROI stems from getting off the paper, chalkboards, notepads and alleviating lost invoices. At the end of the day the software is the home service industries first step towards digital transformation in this Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Cons

In response to Verizon Connect Work being described by former users as "A Starter Software" or "Technology Training Wheels", there is high churn being there are more robust softwares that encompass the entire life of a work order. With out mentioning any software company names, Verizon Connect Work's book of business is on a mass exodus to other players. To add, their is limited to zero customer support and the buying process wasn't very enjoyable.
