I began with the official online guides and webinars that Planful offers — their onboarding program is well-organized and easy to follow. Then I joined the user community, where I found lots of practical tips and real-life examples from other companies. The key for me was taking a few days to really understand the basics — like modeling, workflows, and reporting. After that, I started building things myself using real examples from our own marketing campaigns. As the head of finance at a marketing company, I used to do most of our budgeting, reporting, and forecasting manually — which was really time-consuming. Since switching to Planful, the way we work has completely changed. Pros What I liked most about Planful is how much you get for the price — definitely great value for money. The customer support team was always quick to help whenever I had questions, especially during setup. And the data management tools made it super easy to keep everything organized and up to date, which saved me a ton of time. Cons At first, it took some time to get used to the interface, but once I got the hang of it, everything flowed smoothly. The biggest win for us is how it's streamlined our entire budgeting process. The collaborative features are fantastic—we can all work on the same plan at the same time without any confusion. The reporting is also really powerful, allowing us to generate custom reports on the fly. Pros The fact that Planful excels at streamlining the budgeting process and improving collaboration across teams. Then, the ability to integrate with other systems and create detailed, custom reports is also a top feature. Cons My only minor criticism is that the initial setup was a little complex, and it took a while to get everything configured exactly how we needed it. But once we got through that, it's been a very smooth and effective tool. Overall, I highly recommend it.
