This product needs to work like Quickbooks, Patriot Payroll in where they handle the direct deposit instead of a NACHA file to your bank. Pros Value for the money, customer support and synching with their W2 and W2c. The electronic submissions to SSA and State work well Cons Banking and money management is not great. I am a payroll provider for many companies so my needs are high but not technical. I am satisfied with the product. Pros Cost and availability to use multiple companies. Since it is not a month to month subscription based product, it is very economical with multiple companies. Cons Does not have a Mac network version and also no Mac EZ accounting software to network two computers. I don't want to use a virtual server.... For e-filing, I used them for 1099's but used another company for the W-2s Pros Affordable, I have several small companies with one to 15 employees. Easy to use for miscellaneous and payroll checks. Cons Support does not listen or fix the problems, minor things like the sign section of form 941 always print the previous client information. Also, there has been a few times that I done the deposits using their information, and when I do the quarterly reports, it shows different amounts. No State Report numbers, I have to keep an Excel spreadsheet to verify the deposits and for the State withholdings. It has helped me to provide the payroll services that is all of my needs as well as reporting the quarterly payroll tax, annual payroll tax, and issue W2s. Pros It provides the services for paychecks, inexpensive cost of the software. It also supports the create of the 941, 940 and W2s. It is perfect for small business that I have used it for many years. Cons The ez-Paycheck has the activation code that can use multiple on multiple computers. Now it is allowed to work on one computer only and make me feel less convenience to work on one computer only. Pros The value is very important, it should not cost thousands of dollars to process payroll. It is convenient and user friendly Cons Have had a few issues with it losing the key, have had a few problems but when I have called or got on a chat problem was solved. Pros It is pretty easy to use and great value for money. Basic interface, no frills, suitable for small business's. No monthly subscription fees or per payroll fees, you pay for software and own it for the year - bit of a dinosaur these days but thankfully they still offer it this way, when you are self employed and need 1 or 2 paychecks a month value can't be beat. Cons I have had trouble customizing some reports, but truthfully have not delved into it much as it is just a support to by business. May 21, 2026 5.0 My experience with ezPaycheck has been a good one and I have only once have had to call for customer support, which in ten years that says something good about a company. Pros I have used ezPaycheck for about 10 years now and look forward to downloading the next year's version every year. I find it simple to do the weekly paychecks and getting the required forms as needed. Cons Recently I was needing to reprint a report from last year and I couldn't do it without having to follow some directions that I didn't understand. I just thought it was going to be easier. June 13, 2026 5.0 The ezPaycheck program is making a difficult task easier. I am hoping it will be just as easy to transition to the new year when that time comes. Pros Our church treasure is dying and was able to give me quick instructions on the program with printouts from the last few months. She also gave me the thumb drive with the backup database. I was able to download the trial version to try before I bought. It worked great so I bought my own copy. I am still learning because I am new at this. It seems to do everything we need. Cons Sometimes I don't understand where to find the forms I need for reporting. I am still learning the program and the volunteer job. We don't use all of the features available though. Pros Very easy to use. We only have 12 staff members and ezpaycheck works very well for our needs. We have from time to time had to add additional companies and that has been easy. Cons I would like to be able to adjust checks. For example some of our staff receive tips and I can't add them after I have created a check for hours worked. If I need to change something on the check I have to delete it and start over. We were using a service that was very expensive considering how small the staff was so we wanted something less expensive. I can't stand the pay as you go structure of other products. Finally the customer support was surprisingly good. . . I messed up a few things and they were able to get me straightened out. Nice thing is they seemed to know who I was without going through grueling identity check. Pros Price and ease of use make this product a win for me. The non-sense with qbooks now-a-days made me move. Cons I would like more reports; like employee address reports etc. Makes proving new hire reporting much easier. Accounting Manager Food & Beverages Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Great Customer Support!!" April 23, 2026 5.0 Pros Simple and efficient, also extremely flexible when needed. But what made this an easy purchase was the support team. Not only were they extremely quick getting back to me, they edited the program to include something I needed that wasn't available. Cons When inputting each employee, I made a mistake in the taxes paid. (The page that gives you the chance to select the taxes that apply). To correct the mistake, it would have been nice to be able to select all employees and make the change one time to all of them, instead of doing each on individually. The option to do all at once would be nice. Switched from [QuickBooks Payroll](https://www.capterra.com/p/174981/QuickBooks/) Quickbooks doesn't work for Guam. They did not give me an option to edit the State to Guam or edit the taxes. They wouldn't have lost a customer if they just would turn off the entire help service of paying/filing taxes, and let me do it manually. But ezPaycheck was quick to help and I didn't even need to speak on the phone with someone. It was understood what was needed and took 2 emails to get what I needed from the program. Great Service! It didn't take long to get use to using a different payroll software than using the one in our accounting system. We never thought about changing it. Pros ezPaycheck is easy to use. They have reliable customer support, quick responses, and very helpful. The features they have are all you need. Cons The only thing I didn't care for in the beginning was not being connected to our accounting software. We did get used to it and had no problems. I handle multiple payrolls for around 20 companies and whenever I needed to contact ezPaycheck, they have responded promptly. Pros It is easy to navigate throughout the Payroll process. And you do not have to keep paying for updates throughout the year. Just one inexpensive charge to begin and then nothing more. Cons It wasn't free? Actually, I would like to add employee's emails to their account so I can easily email check stubs to them. This app solves all my problems and meets all my needs. Pros I love that everything is precalculated for me and the only thing I need to add, once an employee is set up, is the amount of hours they worked. There is a way to add bonuses, or different hourly pay depending on the job, but I don't use those features. I love that I can generate a report and stay compliant with all the tax law with very little effort. January 31, 2018 1.0 I got no benefits from this software past the first quarter. Cons It calculates payroll incorrectly. It does not work as it is supposed to. They said that W2's would be included but they were not, I had to buy another software from them to go along with EZPaycheck . That software promised being able to e-file 1099's also so I bought it to find out that you have to file with the government for a special number to be able to e-file these and that takes at least 45 days! So I had to pay another company to e-file 1099's. And the W2's were NOT easy, nothing was working correctly and I had to reach out for help which there is no phone number for!! I would NEVER give this company any of my money ever again!! They have proved that they do not have a product worth anything. If you gave it to me free to use in 2018, I would NOT take it!! Check the trial version. Pros Does its job - if it works. Prints checks and check forms. Cons The only software that I know that does not work if you do not have your regional settings set to English. So if you are using a Spanish, French, German etc. windows, the software crashes.
