My company has had a very positive experience with the application, to the point where we now use the Basis system which was built using the same backend of TrakQuip. The application itself has been worked into many facets of our system as it's a really good system to manage inventory.

Pros

I mostly like the breadth of features that is available, along with how streamlined it is to use. The main thing that I like is the way that we can link documents to many different fields, for example we can separately link documents to inventory, purchase orders, delivery tickets, invoices, etc. The logic is pretty robust as we've been able to automate many tasks using the underlying data structure.

Cons

Maintenance done through the application is a little bothersome if you are processing an extreme amount of inventory. For example, the maintenance feature works best if you are working on tens of assets, but if you are regularly working with hundreds of assets on a ticket, then it's not as good to do maintenance through the application.

Make sure you have someone on staff that knows SQL, as I've had to write many of our reports.

Pros

It's SQL based, which makes getting useful reports an option.

Cons

Audit trails for customers is not user friendly, out of the box reporting is antiquated and not exceptionally useful. Sales tax module is not overly easy to use either.
