They are responsive, the platform does what you need it to do, and it is set up to support the communication and operations of a multidisciplinary team in a higher level of care. Pros BestNotes does what you need it to do in the mental health space. Working with clients with EDs the set up works well for our clinic and multidisciplinary team. The user interface is simple, but it is functional There are many products out there that are sleek and have glossy UIs, but underneath the structure of the product is not as sound in delivering what you need and they charge a lot more. Cons There is one adjustment I would really like them to make, to allow the user to use the "command A" shortcut to select all text. This was something you could do previously, and hopefully will be fixed in the next update. I also think it would be great if you could pin files to the top of a client's chart (similar to how you can with a note), so that we could pin the clinical program assessment to the top for easy access. One could say a con is that it is an older looking interface, but honestly, I think that's a pro because it's straightforward and well organized. In fact it's UI is somewhat genius in design of making it seem simple and easy to organize within the complexity of the EMR system needs (even while looking a little 80s/90s style). We use other products for the patient portal in terms of documents (besides appointment reminders), so I can't provide a comprehensive review on it. That said, I believe it works pretty well and automatically loads into chart, but other services that purely devoted to sharing/signing documents and forms are probably more robust. Pros The combination of being able to document, schedule, track the clients progress and do billing all in one. Cons Desktop is easier to use than going mobile.. It has all of the features we need and the documents can be customized for us. Cons The telehealth platform and portal seem to be challenging for some clients to use. They often struggle to navigate setting up their portal and signing documents. It has all the functions I need with my current job and is easy to use and train others to use. Pros Easy to use. Has features most EHR's do not have such as the ability to use ASAM criteria to determine a patients level of care. Cons I do not like that you cannot remove a patient from a group note without completely starting the note over. It takes a lot more time when in a hurry. Working with best notes makes my job a lot more simple and is very time efficient. Pros Its easy to follow and navigate. The fields are easy to access and they align well. I like that you can unlock notes incaee there was a mistake made. Cons I dont see any issues with it. Everything operates smoothly. It’s easy to train with once somebody is shown how to use it. There’s really not much going back and retraining. Pros It is user-friendly. I really enjoy knowing how to navigate and I wouldn’t choose another system just because of that. Cons I wish it had the AI technology built into it. Pros Bestnotes software is easy to utilize and provides a variety of pathways to document, pull data and analyze it. Cons Several times the portal crashed during documentation and staff had to redo their documentation. Otherwise, no real cons. Pros Good security. I don't think it's very user friendly. I've been using it so long now that I get it but the interface isn't user friendly. Cons You can only upload 1 document at a time. The patient portal isn't very user friendly. We always have problems onboarding clients to the portal. It feels confidential and I dont worry about HIPPA Pros I like Its easy log in, it being Its own app. LOVE that it autosaves, and how easy it is to sign, use notes, and use the ledger. It was the first EHR system that I was trained on, which made it hard to compare to anything else. I thought that it was a great way to keep track of everything I needed to. Pros I liked being able to access and modify my schedule quickly as needed. It was easy for my supervisor to also see what I was doing. We would often need to cross reference different client's files, and it was easy to do so. Cons Visually, it wasn't very appealing. It was also sometimes not very user friendly. We have had zero issues and the team at BestNotes is wonderful to work with. Pros I love how user friendly it is. It's easy to move around and complete tasks and easy to train staff on. So much easier than any other systems we have used. Cons Probably that the examples on the training websites don't always match what is actually there. Like they make updates to the system but forget to update the examples in the training area so they look different.
