Finance Operations Manager Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Fiscal NXG adds value to our daily routine" August 8, 2023 5.0 We have possibly recovered the initial spend on the product by stopping the payments - we would have probably stopped it anyway but this was done at the onset Pros It was a tool that came in handy as i was looking for items to help with internal audit findings - We were rated very good and i was looking to improve ratings.Using this has captured duplicate supplier set ups ( with good reason) and highlights for us to check if correct . Duplicate payments and duplicate invoices if keyed incorrectly. Saving alot of manual work .We are also trialling the statement rec feature to see how much time it would save the team from carrying this out manually. Pros The software picks up duplicate payments that internal controls within the ERP miss due to the use of a special character or a 0 instead of a O. The team at NXG are great to work with and they really do care about customer feedback, implementing change and improvements as a direct result of engaging with and listening to customers. The Support Team are great! We have monthly catch ups to see how everything is going. They give great advice to help us. Take on any feedback we have Pros The NXG platform is a perfect solution that helps us to prevent risks to supplier payments from duplicates through to fraud. We manage our Master Vendor File regularly to remove duplication and also to monitor changes. We also use the Statement Rec module which saves a lot of time from manually reconciling supplier statements. I would highly recommend the statement reconciliation. The Reporting tools provides us with KPI reports not only on the usage performance but also actionable insights to where errors occur so we can improve processes in our systems and operations. Cons I have no dislikes of the system, but we would like the ability for more tool tips on the user interface. Pros Despite a relatively short period of our using the software, the team at NXG have already taken on board development requests and actioned them quickly. The support, communication & training is very good Cons Unable to mass dismiss tickets. Not NXG's fault but relates to our system, we have unable to run files just before BACS extract so we have a risk window on items processed on the morning of exports. All risk management solutions have a common challenge of managing numerous variations to effectively identify payment risks and bring them to the attention of the finance team. To address this issue, we employ advanced forensics, algorithms and AI continuously, enabling the software to assimilate all variables and thereby reduce the need for a high number of individual dismissals while ensuring no risks are overlooked. We have taken on board our clients' feedback. Consequently, we are developing an updated solution that will obviate the need for mass dismissals as we believe that this is only needed because AI/ML is insufficient to not show unwanted items (false positives). Having a dedicated account manager and one that understood the needs and requirements made progress smooth. Cons A slight concern over the lack of alerting (via email) when issues occur with uploads, but this is apparently being addressed and is on the development roadmap. With such a large amount of applications that a business now utilise, alerting is important.
