If you were looking for a tool that might help you integrate measure and show productive results at one place then u might choose marketo for sure. They have a way around with a lot of things that generally people miss out and might help realize a bit more than what u actually try it out. Even the minute details matter much in the end and this is what the product is all about

Cons

The product has its name imprinted loud and clear and hence the pricing is a thing to worry about

Marketo gives me all the tools I need to create and measure marketing campaigns in a way that truly impacts our business. From email to social, web tracking to sales enablement, Marketo is chock full of tools that we use daily, and even plenty that we don't.

Cons

Marketo really is meant to be used by a power-user. It takes a lot of exposure and practice to get good at navigating the tools and customizing each action to your specifications

Pros

The customer support is phenomenal. There are so many resources available to learn the different capabilities of the platform. Marketo also provides great insight into campaign performance so we can make decisions faster.

Cons

There are a few minor issues with the Marketo / SFDC integration that could be improved to allow data to flow more seamlessly between the two systems. A lot of times you are kind of guessing --- "will this work?"

Pros

Marketo is moldable to what you need. It's a powerful tool that enables me to imagine how I want a process to happen and then actualize it without using any code.

Cons

The analytics leave something to be desired. Simple reports are good, but with complex reporting you need RCA, which isn't very user friendly. I end up doing a lot of reporting in Salesforce, but I am excited that Marketo has more robust reporting coming down the pipeline.

Helped the company to be more diligent about tracking and to start mapping the customer / user journey.

Pros

Can tell you a lot about where leads are coming from and what marketing assets are converting. It also allows the team to setup a lead scoring system.

Cons

Not a user friendly software. It's not an intuitive process to set up and manage campaigns. New team members get frustrated.

Helps in effective management of campaigns, and in generating leads which will ultimately increase the revenue of the firm. You can personalize and send e-mails to a specific group based on their previous searches and purchase history. The application allows employment of cross-media marketing channels. You can track the success of your program from its creation to its execution and reporting. Customer behavior tracking, A/B testing, templates, and marketing automation are a few additional features. The application is easy to use, you can check the tutorials and demonstrations to get a better idea. The platform caters to the needs of businesses of all sizes from small to huge.

Cons

The customer service is not quick in responding to the queries. The search function lacks in features and consumes a lot of time. The application is very costly.

I like it is easy to replicate email lists across multiple campaigns once you've set up once. It is easy to transfer to other campaigns

Cons

Setting up email lists can be tedious (at least in the way I was shown through customer support) but customer support was fantastic and walked me through all questions

Great flexibility and endless applications for marketing. Great integration with other platforms. Demonstrated success in lead management and analytics. Great customer support and extremely active and helpful user base willing to help.

Cons

There's a little bit of a learning curve and multiple ways to perform functions. This can lead to some confusion, but I prefer the high level of flexibility in the long run

Pros

If you have the resource to invest as a company, Marketo can be a powerful marketing automation software. It's very customisable.

Cons

It's no user friendly. you need to have FTE in yor business if you want to run full marketing programs. There are other solutions out there that far easier to use and do more or less the same thing.

It wasn't great for me. I believe this tool is powerful and probably a great solution for the larger tasks it handles. My experience was exclusively with the email and for building and that part is outshined by various other tools.

Pros

(I only used the email and form creation portion of this tool) The drag and drop interface for building emails makes it easy for non-technical users to build emails and forms.

Cons

It was difficult to make highly stylized emails and the in-browser only interface was cumbersome, fidgety, and difficult.

Slow, outdated system UI and backend. The sheer number of clicks required to accomplish a basic activity is mind-numbing. However, Marketo is also powerful in terms of feature sets. Not worth it though unless you have a 2+ Full timers dedicated to Marketo programs.

Marketo is a robust marketing automation platform. During the two years that I have been using Marketo, I have become a Marketo Certified Expert, a Marketo User Group Leader and a Marketo Champion. It's easy to use and adapt, even coming from another MA platform. The tech stack that you can intertwine with Marketo is just about anything you could want or need. Integration with other plug-ins is simple and easy to set up. One of the biggest advantages of Marketo is the Community (Marketing Nation!) of users that help each other out with best practices, problems, troubleshooting, etc. Marketo is a fantastic product out of the box and I'm quickly learning that there is always new tech to plug in and an unlimited potential to grow.

Marketo has an outstanding product and great support, but their greatest strength is their leadership in terms of where marketing and marketing automation are headed. If you need real automation, lead scoring, and a powerful marketing tool--get Marketo. Don't waste your time with Hubspot.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up flows and programs that actually make sense. It's very easy to trigger actions based on just about anything going on in your CRM.

Cons

The design studio is pretty terrible. It's old and small changes are difficult to make without a lot of clicks. The overall design of Marketo in general is very old-fashioned.

I've used Marketo both as a brand side manager and as a consultant on the agency side. It is incredibly powerful and can be used in almost any business environment. From traditional b2b to education to publishing. It can be the central part of any martech stack if leveraged appropriately with enough supporting knowledge. No other MA platform will match the SFDC integration (yes, including SFMC) which makes it a no-brainer for any SFDC customer truly investing in MA. The partner community is vast with integrations to do almost anything you need. And, of course, the marketing piece is insanely customizable to the customer journey.

Pros

\- the flexibility - the powerful - integrations - reporting capabilities

Cons

\- speed - complexity (also a major pro) - time to train

Breadth and depth of offering. Can not be touched for it's flexibility and it's Ecosystem of software partners that enables you to integrate and add-on pretty much anything you could think of and more! It's for marketers, by marketers.

Cons

Your instances can get very complex, but I don't think this is any different to any other platform in this respect.
