Pros

We use Marketo to manage all the leads and also to update it as and when there are any changes. Used by the Sales team.

Cons

Integration is a bit complex with the other tools.

Marketo implementations are something a team really needs to be ready for. If you lack a content calendar. If you can't structure lead paths your customers actually follow or weight lead scoring actions with accuracy, you can end up with a hot mess of an inbound lead flow. On the other hand, after an involved setup process, and of course, on-going testing, it has the potential to automate a huge amount of work, and keep your inside sales team focused on the highest value development opportunities

I've used Marketo for the past two years and have been very happy with my experience as a customer. I used two other marketing automation platforms previously at other companies and have really come to appreciate the innovation and ease of use that Marketo provides.

Good overall product with a learning curve.

Pros

An extremely wide range of services, data, and reports which are nice. Definitely helps me keep track of new information that comes through my office and across my desk. Can be a very useful tool.

Cons

This takes quite a long time to master it. I found myself struggling at times and needed to use outside resources like customer service and Youtube.

I've used it for about 4 years now and counting. I have tried several other automation platforms but nothing compares in terms of the functionality Marketo provides.

Pros

\-Modular templates -Segmentation functionality -Using tokens to switch content out easily -Ease of use once you get the hang of it -History that allows you to feel 'safe' -Data is available and doesn't disappear

\-Glitches -Bandaids -Bad support

Marketo is an ok platform. It provides pretty good automation. Although, it does not provide a graphical automation layout like it's competitors. You put the automation together in smart campaigns, etc. The landing page editor is not that great and sometimes gets frustrating when you want to add an image and you have to back out to upload it. The recent update for the email editor is much better than before. Also, the canned reports are somewhat limiting when you try to get more detailed data on things like web page views, etc.

Pros

The actual automation is powerful and some of the tools are insightful.

Cons

Landing page editor. Would like more details on the reporting.

Cons

I am in the email editor a lot and I am not a fan of the text editor side, nothing lines up correctly when sending though Outlook.

Pros

Very powerful platform that can be expanded with robust integrations

Cons

Some of the role out of the new functionality has been challenging for us in terms of what we expected and what was delivered.

Advanced marketing analytics and data. We can segment out our data to help improve our marketing efforts.

Pros

There is great analytics and data with Marketo. We are able to segment out our data and find real value behind it. There are a lot of features and advanced functionality with Marketo that can benefit our organization.

Cons

It doesn't support ADFS , which was a huge issue for us. The API's were a little slow overall. Also, the customer support was lacking and it was a little costly for what we needed.

I used Marketo briefly because we chose Marketing Cloud at the end of day mainly because MC is more user friendly. Marketo's feature is as powerful as other major email marketing automation tool and its customer support is good.

Pros

\- Powerful features, anything you expect to be done by a marketing automation tool, Marketo covers it - Decent customer support - Good resource library for beginners - Great reporting feature

Cons

\- Marketo is not as user intuitive as other tools like Marketing Cloud or HubSpot - The interface needs to be better

Marketing is such a wide subject and equally complex you need something like Marketo to effectively run campaigns, analyze marketing spend, and attribute lead generation to correct sourcing.

Cons

Takes quite a while to get up to speed, as you would expect. May not be as intuitive as say Pardot but can do so much more.

Pros

Marketo is an incredibly easy to use marketing automation platform - no IT required! Once you start using this product, you won't want to switch to anything else. The new releases are plentiful and the product is constantly being innovated on and updated with the latest trends. Marketo takes care of its customers. It by far has the best loyalty program around!

Cons

I don't have much to say negative about Marketo. I love using this product and would highly recommend its use to any of my colleagues.

There are virtually endless possibilities. The logic is robust. It has extendable ecosystem via integrations and APIs. It's a powerful tool for power users.

Cons

There is a steep(er) learning curve. It's resource intensive to create visual assets (a developer/designer is required to make things look nice).

Pros

Tons of supporting documentation. Syncs thoroughly with Salesforce. Provides all of the analytics that I need.

Cons

With the layer upon layer of product, some of the basics are harding to find. Marketo is not a straight-forward as Hubspot.
