Pros

It's a very powerful tool that allows you to look at your lead activity across nurture and sales. It can be very complicated if the configuration is not set up correctly or is missing.

Cons

The configuration takes a bit of time and there are multiple ways to do the same task. I am not a big fan of the free support line. Although questions are answered within 24 hours, the answers are not always thorough.

Pros

The demo process was very in-depth. They were willing to cater to our specific needs, and they do not just help you use the tool, but also learn Marketing skills along the way. It is full service software.

Cons

There has been high turnover regarding the employees working on our account. For our custom needs, this has been difficult to work with as new people are not familiar with our custom setup.

Our company has seen good value after implementing Marketo. It is a complex tool, and I recommend getting specialists in early on. It really does the lead scoring part very well. Its integrations with Salesforce is robust. The Sales reps can easily see which leads are Hot and which are not. We do most of our reporting within Salesforce from the data that is pumped into by Marketo. Marketo can also connect with our website, enhance leads and then when required information is available, then only push those leads into Saleforce

Pros

In my humble opinion, Marketo is pretty close to a 360 degree marketing system in comparison to most of the other marketing systems on the market today. Most of them only specialize in one thing (for example: email delivery). With an all-in-one system, Marketo can serve more needs.

Cons

Because it is so wide in range, training on this system is more challenging and takes more time.

Trying to accomplish more advanced automation, personalization, and logic flows is much harder to accomplish than it is in a program like Eloqua or Unica.

Marketo is both daunting and amazing in it's breath and depth of features. It's one of the few true 'enterprise level' Marketing Automation platforms out there. It will scale and grow with your company whether you've got 100 customers or 1 million.

Cons

It's not really that usable for small businesses because of it's complexity. There are simpler alternatives out there.

Pros

Everything is fairly automated, and with the right training and knowledge, everything becomes very seamless. If used properly, Marketo's automated services will satisfy all your needs. It is a very functional, high quality product.

Cons

For large amounts of customers or databases, there are some limitations. Also, there is a bit of a learning curve when starting off.

I like the web based access and it is intuitive and easy to customize depending on your report needs or just preference

Sluggish when it comes to speed at times and a bit pricey so, limited users/slots can only be given by my company to people they think is deserving to use the software. No built in CRM as well.

The product itself is tremendously powerful, and the Marketo support engineers are friendly, knowledgeable, and dogged about finding the best solution for whatever difficulty you're having with the system.

Cons

The initial ramp-up time to learn the program is pretty intense. For the first couple of months that we had Marketo, I didn't like it very much at all.

It's great software that is easy to use on the basis-level. The community is great and the knowledge center as well.

Cons

Some campaigns need to be set up in a very complex way. This functionality good be easier. I miss the track functionality, so you can see what you did and change and go back in history if you changed something incorrectly.
