Pros: I like the "click map" that is sort of a "heat map" of where the audience is clicking within the emails.

Cons: Overall it is pretty clunky with a lack of design elements. I feel like it is kind of like a first generation MailChimp, but not quite as dated as Constant Contact.

Comments: Very bad company to do business with.

Pros: Emma email provide very aesthetically pleasing emails while being user friendly. This this product is competitive with other basic email marketing SAAS products such as Constant Contact and Mail Chimp.

Cons: Don't let their sales staff fool you on their upgraded packages. This is a very basic easy to use email service, that's it. Their upgraded packages which claim to add advanced features and automation don't hold a candle to a true email automation SAAS product such as Infusionsoft etc. Their sales account reps make big claims on the capability of the features but when actually using them, the workarounds that you will need to do are tedious. We have been using Emma for many years because of the attractive email layouts and ease of use. When we saw the promises the upgraded tools promised we were very excited. Unfortunately after really diving in, we found that the tools were not capable of effectively executing the processes and automation sequences that we needed. We signed a one year contract on the upgrade and as LONG time customers were reminded of that when asking to be dropped back to our old package. Because of this, we will be cancelling our entire account when the upgraded package expires. It's unfortunate, as we would have continued to be customers for many years to come. It's definitely not worth the price, and I would not recommend doing business with Emma.

Pros: better templates, easy to make templates and you can pay them to create a one-of-a-kind email for your organization.

Cons: it's a little frustrating to have to change the template font to another font. Especially with bullet points. also, you cannot copy and paste into the blocks without creating extra steps.

Overall: Better looking, more professional templates, more options, better anaylitical properties for response and easier to put together.

Plenty of other great, more affordable products than this one.Training is a Scam

Pros: Has nice templates and admin. Other than that there werent many features that couldnt be selected or offered from another company at a far more reasonable cost.

Cons: Training was a COMPLETE waste of money. All the "Trainer Did" was give me a 15 -20 minute rundown of some of the features I already knew about. Company claimed it was an "hour consultation"...which even if it had been would be an insane hourly rate
I had clients interested in using it and having us manage it. Ultimately they did not like the functions, especially for the price, so we discontinued that service within 2 months of using MyEmma. However, MYEmma continued to bill use and threatened to bill for a full entire year. Event though we no longer use any aspect of their business. Proving the greed of business and their "could care less" about the customer business motto.

Overall: Other than a monthly billing for NOT using there product, literally no benefit.

Pros: It's intuitive and easy to learn. Allows you to design beautiful emails and newsletters without knowing code. The customer service team is great, and there are great trainings and webinars available.

Cons: Some of the features are more limited than other products. Coming from MailChimp, I wished that I could play around with Emma's templates and code a bit more than what's accessible.

Pros: great customer service and very easy to use. Drag and drop design and lots of templates to choose from. I've used Emma for almost 15 years. I've seen them grow substantially and their product and service hasn't deteriorated. No need to know html but you CAN write your own code if you know how.

Cons: They are a tad bit slow to adopt to new features compared to competitors BUT when they release updates they WORK. Rarely are there bugs. It's refreshing.

Can't Wait To Get Started With Emma. The Stars Will Align, I know it!

Pros: The tutorials are concise. The tactics blog sharp af. Neither is the case with MailChimp, which isn't bad either. I guess Emma just has the right vibe, if I can ever get to the tutorial and set it up lol

Cons: No one's around at night when I work on these things to authorize a few hours of free trial so I can go tell my supervisor to pay for it and get it over with. Beyond that, we'll figure out sales forth if there's a hard product market that exists that I'm not seeing anyways...

Pros: It's very intuitive. I like how you can drag and drop components and it's easy to type in straight text without coding. It's a great tool for many situations. It's easy to use templates saved in the system for regular emails such as newsletters as well.

Cons: Sometimes it's not as flexible as I would like. I can't move a certain component, though I can move others.

Pros: It allows people to design emails in an entirely wysiwyg interface, meaning you don't have to know any HTML.

Cons: Its strength is also its weakness. Emma completely changes and botches your HTML. You cannot enter your own media queries - it completely overrides them, and even in the support forums the requests for Emma not to touch pasted-in HTML have gone unanswered for years. It's like using FrontPage and watching your beautifully-crafted code become a mangled, garbled mess that's very difficult to fix. Even for those who don't code their own HTML, it's perplexing - there are often strange quirks like bold fonts that don't appear bold in inboxes and many other issues because the code Emma uses isn't actually friendly for many email rendering engines (ahem, Outlook). It's also somewhat unstable and clunky - we've found many times when it won't actually save, or it's just running very slowly.

Pros: I really like that there are many features that are not available on other email marketing platforms. If you do email marketing, you MUST try EMMA for their marketing/analytics features

Cons: Since they're still pretty new, they looked over some simple features that other platforms have. and that they didn't implement, but they are adding features often and customer support is very receptive.

Pros: Low learning curve, easy to use, friendly interface, not intimidating, pretty email designs, the UI is really nice, customer service is unbelievably good.

Cons: If you host and run multiple accounts, gathering roll up data can be time-consuming.

Comments: Emma makes email marketing easy for small businesses, non-web people, and those with low resource availability. It's intuitive and easy to use, no HTML knowledge required. There are hundreds of templates to pick from, or you can upload your own custom emails as well.

One of the major limitations I find in this software is in testing capabilities. A/B/C testing for subject lines is built in, and it will send to the winner after a few hours, but that's it. You can't A/B in email content without manually downloading, splitting your list, and re-uploading it as two different segments. You track the results on your own and send to the remainder of your list. It's time-consuming and cumbersome.

Emma does integrate with many major e-commerce providers. We've used the Shopify integration. That has also been a bit cumbersome. Though we get the emails of purchasers, there aren't very many trigger email options through Emma.

Overall, this is a great little program, especially if you are a small business or don't have an email team. It's not the Cadillac of ESPs, but it all you need is a reliable Honda, this would be a good fit.

Comments: We reviewed a variety of software options but decided to go with Emma. It has everything we need to create and send out blogs, newsletters, and specials. The automation meant I got to spend more with clients rather than spending time manually sending it out. I recommend this product to everyone in small business.

Comments: We use Emma as a whitelabeled product. We reviewed a lot of different options and ultimately Emma was the best option for us. I love that instead of having a contact limit per client, we just pay based on the overall contact number. That means we can have small clients and large clients and we aren't required to pay separately for them. In addition, the email builder is very simple and straightforward.

Comments: Emma is incredibly accessible for first-timers, both in the site interface and responsive email design. It also has many useful features that make mass email easier, and continues to roll out more. Their customer service is also very responsive, courteous and knowledgeable. The only downside is that the search function is not as robust as it could be, so it can be difficult to find groups and older campaigns if you're prolific.

Comments: My Emma is easy to use in the sense that you can create, edit and send email campaigns pretty easily. The system is quite slow (so load and editing emails takes a while). The SF integration just got up to speed, but unfortunately doesn't quite fit our needs (which may be unique to us we have a slightly more complicated arrangement).

The Staff are friendly and helpful. Good customer service and support.

Cons: - wish links remained live for more than 6 months
- wish had more flexibility with formatting text, images, overall layout, etc.
- wish had some international distribution benchmarks; all info seems to be US-centric

Overall: With the exception of greater flexibility with formats and response tracking in Emma, I enjoy using Emma and have advocated that my client stay with this provider instead of moving to another. Customer service is always fab!

Pros: It's pretty quick. Love the Response area and the breakdowns.

Cons: Some of the changes to the Audience. You should be able to minimum keep the First and Last name showing with the email in the groups and searches.

Overall: You should at least have a customize the group views that the customers can change to their preference. To do some of these changes without notice is ridiculous. People should have the option of seeing things the way we used to, not everyone is like me and I know some people like the new changes. There should be a columns with First and Last Names within the audiences. I can¿t be searching my larger group of over 4,000 people by email. Also, the search bar should be made available throughout the audience categories and not automatically go into the search. There are times I copy and paste a good email and want to remove a letter because we had it missing and I want to correct the old email. I can't do this anymore. It's been annoying that it seems some of my requests to bring something back won't happen. I don't know about everyone, but when I open one of my groups, I like to see the email, First, and Last name. It helps for when I put in John Doe, that all those named John Doe or with an email of johndoe@blah.com appear for me to find the correct one. Not all these emails with no names attached and all I see is 123@blah.com and john456@blah.com. This should be an easy fix or at least a way for us to lock our preferred view.

Recommendations to other buyers: Please fix the First and Last name issue. This serious is driving me nuts and I would be willing to walk away from Emma.

Comments: I use Emma for a client and I am not pleased with the formatting issues I've had. When I copy/ paste text, it freaks out. I regularly use constant contact and robly, and I prefer those platforms much more than Emma. I also love the chat feature on robly where I can get my questions answered without calling.

Pros: Best looking email tool I've used. Response and link-clink tracking super handy. List building was easy enough. Salesforce integration.

Cons: Sometimes building a list seems harder than it should be, but I'm really nit-picking.

Overall: Mass email solutions are turning into a commodity but Emma is by far my favorite. It was so easy to create an email that looked exsactly how I wanted and I'm not that technical. The integration with Salesforce is also really handy.

When I did have a question I couldn't find an easy answer for I called their support line and actually talked to a person who cared and understood exactly what I was trying to do and had a quick answer for me.

Recommendations to other buyers: Mass email and spam compliance can be tricky, Emma makes it easy.

Pros: I was concerned about uploading a large amount of data, but Emma made it incredibly easy. I was able to keep all of the segmenting data that I wanted and very quickly use it to send targeted campaigns.

Cons: Finding my subject line split test data took a few minutes the first time I tried, but that is pretty minor.

Overall: Emma is amazing to use and the customer service has been phenomenal. The importing, segmenting and split testing have all been great and I have been incredibly happy with the deliverability.

Pros: I like the fact that once you create your groups of people, you can easily send emails to large groups of people that look professional. It also is a way for our organization to quickly alert our members of last minute notifications without having to hunt down emails of who you need to contact, you just select a group! It's also easy to see how many people opened it, if they clicked on it, if they opted out of receiving more, which helps us figure out how many people are actually using the information we're sending.

Cons: You have to 'add' a person, you cant just create a campaign and send it to a list of emails that aren't in the system.

Recommendations to other buyers: Think of your whole experience with this product. Did you learn as you went, or just stuck with the basics without trying to learn more. Did it help you reach people, or hinder your communications? Think about the whole product, not just a single high or low.

Comments: 2 out of 3 times I use this product, I encounter bugs or basic functionality lapses. The HTML editor is balky and unpredictable, and I consistently have to log out and in to be able to send test messages. Customer service is excellent, but the everyday experience is not good.

Pros: The product is extremely user-friendly. Has a great list of feature set that meets today's need in the marketing world. And is a great price for the product.

Cons: There really is not anything I don't like. It is a great product all around as it allows you to do simple email marketing, but also allows you to track individual users and their history.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure that you are looking for a marketing email platform (like Constant Contact) and not a marketing automation platform (like Pardot and Marketo). This is more like Constant Contact (so much better though) and not Marketo.
