Pros: Harvest fits my business model. I'm a consultant who also does installs, repairs, and remote support. It's simple to set up Harvest with your client list, hourly rates, products and services. Once set up, tracking time and expenses is even simpler! They have a web interface and a mobile app. The mobile app duplicates most of the web features and is very handy when on-site - a couple taps selects the client and starts the clock.

Creating invoices is a matter of running an Uninvoiced report, clicking the customer you want to invoice, and editing the items, descriptions, prices and tax rates. Then save the invoice and either email it directly to the recipient or save as PDF to print or attach later.

Harvest can connect to Trello, Quickbooks, Xero, Stripe, PayPal, and about 80 other online applications, and has a programming API if you are so inclined. It only took me an evening to write a script to insert all my Harvest-tracked time into my CRM app's notes.

Cons: Everything is tracked as a project. To enter time, you first have to create a project to track it. Even if you are doing a one-off visit, you cannot track that hour or two until you have created a new project for that customer. It would be helpful to be able to log billable time directly to a customer.

Overall: I used Harvest stand-alone when I started my business. A few years ago I took my accounting online with Xero so I explored many of the time-tracking apps that integrate with it. After less than a year, and countless other apps, I returned to Harvest because I've found nothing easier. I create invoice drafts in Harvest and copy them to Xero for final billing. It's simple, fast, goes deeper if you need it, and is reasonably priced.

Comments: This is a very clean, simple appearing, a non-intrusive app which is actually a very solid and powerful platform. It has the potential to be an indispensable part of modern project-based businesses. Well, the answer is, this basic time tracking app solves several problems all at once. First of all, Harvest is available on all your devices and computers so, whenever you need to track time...voila there it is. It is super easy to set up and use, zero learning curve needed. It's nicely organized by client, so each project gets placed where it belongs. It has idle time detection to prevent inaccuracies. There are several options for arranging your time-based fees and you can even include your billable expenses. The information is not trapped in Harvest platform so you can import and export clients, invoices and other info to your other systems easily. You can easily send email invoices directly from your time-keeping records and accept payments online with integrations. In addition to budgeting time, you can also track expenses for each project in order to stay on track, both financially and time management-wise. This software plus Forecast gives you the potential to be increasingly accurate with time estimates for your clients. Once you take into account all of the software integrations and the API, you really have a valuable central point to manage your business. It helps that this software was developed by a team that had to solve these problems themselves. The company also seems to have good stewardship of the business in social justice and community arenas. I have not yet used the mobile app or API but I am definitely a fan of Harvest!

Pros: -Intuitive user interface -Cute motivational quotes and illustrations -Great native desktop experience on the Mac -Wonderful integrations with other software, including Harvest's Forecast, Xero accounting and Stripe -A multi-functional API and mobile apps (IOS and Android)!

Cons: - No automated sales tax - or integration with automated sales tax providers (Avalara, Tax Jar, etc.) on invoices -Team pricing could be better and also would be great if there were a tier between free - two projects and unlimited projects. -No offline functionality on the desktop

Pros: Especially after a recent update, I like how easy the timer is to work with. Simply select the project I'm working on and start the timer. While I'm working it stays on in the background. If I get called away from my desk for some reason, and I forget to stop the timer, it recognizes the inactivity and checks in with me upon return. That's super handy - if I was off the computer on a call related to the project, for example, one button click and it will continue timing including the 'inactive' time. If I got called off to a different project, I can easily put the minutes/hours of 'inactive' time on the appropriate project. If I got called away by something totally unrelated to work, I can toss the accumulated 'inactive' time and either keep working or stop the clock when I get back. It also sends an email reminder after several hours of inactive time - like when I quit working for the day and forget to clock out. No more guessing!

Cons: There is sometimes a disconnect between the desktop app and the website. I can't remember why but once in a while I'll have to check on the site while the app is running (like to read notes associated with a project) and there were some discrepancies. They always sorted themselves out, but for a couple minutes it was confusing. It's not a huge issue so long as you remember to give the site time update with the app.

I don't admin Harvest. I only enter time into Harvest. I don't like Harvest.

Pros: So overall I'm not a fan. That said, documenting expenses is the best I've ever seen in Harvest. It's really well done and simple. Nice and clean, get your photos, get your monies and go. Big fan.

That is where my love affair ends with this app.

From an administrative point, maybe there are incredible advantages over other offerings. The world may have never experienced such a revolutionary piece of software and I, in turn, am a simpleton; stuck in a world of misunderstanding.

Cons: If you write a app which tracks hourly time and tries to put it into buckets for easy expensing, the time-tracking app should be simple for the multitude of non-admin users. Simply put, it's cumbersome and annoying.... and I say that because someone is going to take stronger language less seriously.

Forget the fact that you have to enter in time _Daily_. When I say daily, I don't mean that you click on the day, you do the thing and save. I mean that it shows you one day per page at a time. No calendar to quickly go through a week, no monthly review where you can quickly fill in gaps. One page == one day. You can bring stuff over from the last-entered day, but the hours aren't filled in... just the buckets. This leads to an incredibly slow, painful, and frankly uninteresting experience. For a bunch of users who want to do their job instead of fiddling around with tracking how long they've done their job, asking them to use Harvest is basically asking them to make none of their time billable unless threatened with homelessness. It's incredibly painful to use.

To be sure, I'm not a fan of time-tracking apps anyway. I akin them to asking your employees to lie to you and giving them a form in which to do it... but Harvest makes the fun of lying to your employer the low-light of your day. It's not fair.

Overall: I personally get no benefits from this software. I'm not a fan.

Comments: We like the Orange and White - I know its petty, but in a world of grey-ed out infinitesimally small typeface UIs, Harvest is blunt and to-the-point. After all, who needs Team Members making errors with your TIME!

Pros: The most important factor is Ease of Use and Harvest shines, the second is its integration with 80 of the top of the line of today's work tools. There are tons of features - we use Forecast and find it invaluable for Team Leaders to scope out their week's work-load and delegate. Thirdly, their customer support is brilliant - no muss, no fuss. The added bonus is that adjusting time at task once the timer has been closed is easy, and did I mention they send a friendly reminder when you've left a timer running? Oh Yes - we do that sometimes too!

Cons: It's hard to think of a really thorny issue - these guys have worked everything together slowly over the years. It's a a balanced appraoch - the Forecast Add-On is slowly expanding and deepening and there will no doubt be features added that a user would like, for example more zoom in and out to break down to week and day. That is about it really - this is solid Dev-Product, not some rushed-out-to-get-Trials company.

Pros: It does what it does and it does it best! Time tracking on projects has never been so easy for our organisation. We have used multiple time trackers, but were never pleased with the wat we neede to register the hours we make for our clients. The mac, windows and iOS/Android apps work great. New projects are available instantly and starting / pausing the time tracker is wonderfully done. Managing the projects, budgets and tasks is really easy and if you like, you can integrate it with Harvest Forecast and plan your team ahead.

Cons: Harvest lacks decent support of monthly retainer 'projects'. It's not a show stopper for us, but it makes us do manual checks of the hours we make for our clients. I would love Harvest Forecast to be part of Harvest by default instead of the invoicing functionalities, since we use other software for that.

Overall: With Harvest we track more hours than we did with other software. It takes the hassle out of the process. Nobody likes to track his of her hours in complicated and time consuming ways and Harvest solves that problem!

Pros: Harvest is incredibly easy to use, and doesn't try to be more than it is. It is perfect for tracking time (the iPhone app is great, too, as it allows you to start and stop time on the go) and expenses, and conducting billing. It also has a surprisingly great reporting section, which is helpful for understanding your own productivity and opportunities. Harvest is also wonderfully customizable to fit your office's individual needs.

Cons: This is so nitpicky, but that is because Harvest is so great, and has so little to improve upon: I wish there were multiple pre-set messages you can send. The current system allows for a thank you message and a "balance due" message. Our office, like many law firms, I imagine, has two balance due messages: money due for work performed, and money due to maintain a required trust deposit. Currently we have to manually change this. Not at all a deal breaker, but it would be a very welcome update in the future.

Pros: I've used Harvest for years and I can't imagine switching to another tool. It's by far the easiest, best tool for agencies who work on multiple projects with multiple budgets. Being able to visualise your margins and where your team is spending their time is an absolute game changer. The invoices are attractive and always send reliable. The integrated payment options are intuitive and simple.

Cons: It's a bit more expensive than other tools but if you're using its full functionality it's absolutely worth it.

I'd like to see more flexibility around budgeting and retainers. It has definitely gotten better with new support for fixed-fee budgets, but I would really like to see recurring retainers handled better. We currently create a new project every month for our clients on retainer, which works but is a little tedious.

Overall: It made visualising our project budgets and margins dramatically easier, so we know where our time and money are going.

Pros: The chrome extension makes this really easy to track the time you spend working on a particular client. With the click of a button you can select the client you are working on via a dropdown menu and you just hit 'start timer'. When you stop the timer you can also add in some extra details that are great when you're trying to report back on where your time has been spent.

When you log into the desktop version you can view week by week and day by day. You also have access to a dashboard which visually represents where you spent your time.

Cons: Sometimes you leave the timer running - it's really easy to forget that it's running in the background. You don't get a notification until the next morning and so I often have to log back in to correct my time logged.

Overall: Efficient time tracking that doesn't take much time out of your day and clear visibility on where you are spending your time.

Pros: The time tracking is easy to configure and works. Makes an easy job of managing my team and gathering their time.

Cons: There are a number of items... the cost is high per user. Could be very costly with a larger company. The lack of ability to track mileage properly - IRS requires that you detail a log (minimal, but details are needed). I can only enter the total miles driven on an expense item. Every other tracking app on the market allows me to enter the start and end mileage and track which vehicle it goes against. When I asked support about this, they told me it is not on their radar. Very little seems to be on their radar - after two years of using it, I have not seen any real major updates to functions.

Overall: Not the greatest - the lack of good expense tracking (you can only bill to a project, not to the task within the project) and the lack of decent mileage tracking make us use other products for these, causing double entry. Support has been less than responsive about the idea of improving it. Lack of any real feature updates in two years. Where is all my money going?

2. Can be integrated almost any latest software tools like Asana(I used to do this) is amazing sync

3. Reminder for time tracking and project reminder including project owner.

4. Can control and create layer like approval method

Cons: 1. Very Pricy in terms of the competitors on the market

2. Need AI support to catch auto standard time frame for each project.

3. Apps crashed and lost time sometimes without an unknown error

4. Should work on popular project time analysis to make real-time auto time support

Overall: I used to use this software tools for my team as well as for my other team from 2014 to 2017. I should appreciate Harvest team for this amazing online time management tools which are helping now millions of people to track the time including multiple features. I especially love their friendly eye-catching interface including time tracking options feature. I used to submit my all project times I had spent easily without any tension as it showing real time. Pros: The ease of use. It is very easy to navigate through and track project time to bill our clients. It is also very easy to pull reports to track hourly rates for clients and see how we are year over year. The software makes it easy to track employee time as well and allow us to keep an eye on who is not submitting time sheets properly to ensure accurate billing and time tracking for client profitability.

Cons: When looking up a specific client and adding someone to a certain project it automatically redirects you from the client listings, were are frustrating. Each time you edit one project you have to click projects to bring you back to the listings of every client and it is time consuming and i feel like there could be a much easier way to do this that is less time consuming.

Overall: Easy time tracking for clients and billing.

Pros: I use this tool every day to track my time when I'm doing anything for a client. The browser extension makes it quick and easy to select the project and record the hours against it. When you log in you can see how much time you've spent that week / month and download reports for the client if required. The whole team uses this and it's been really easy to get everyone set up and using it.

Cons: If you make a mistake when logging time using the extension you need to log into the interface and correct it - which can be time-consuming. It's also very easy to forget to turn the timer off so you can easily log extra time. However, they do send you an email notification to remind you about this so it's relatively easy to correct.

Pros: Harvest keeps me on time, on budget, profitable, and professional. I could not run my business without it. The price is very reasonable (I hope it stays that way!) and the support team is always fantastic. It's the one tool I use that just never has problems. With other tools and services, I lose time dealing with bugs and UI failures. But I have come to trust and rely on Harvest. And that's why I recommend it to anyone who asks.

Cons: At one time I tried to use the Mac time tracking app. I ran into synchronization issues between the 4 computers that I use regularly. I don't hold that against Harvest, and maybe it's been fixed by now. But I'm really happy with the web interface, so that's adequate for me.

Pros: I use the free version since I don't have a lot of freelance clients and it does everything I need. I like that I can just go in and create an invoice instantly, or I can track my time throughout a project when the pay is hourly (not project based) and create an invoice based on the time totals. I also like that they let you upload your personal logo and they pull it into the invoice. I think the invoice is also set up very clearly.

Cons: When you set up a project in Harvest, you are automatically the project manager and I cannot figure out how to make myself the designer and have my hours charged accordingly. I also like if you create an invoice, then have to add additional hours worked because the client asked for more edits at the end, the total time spent is not automatically updated in the invoice like it was in the first draft of the invoice and I cannot figure out how to make this happen. The software could be organized better to where you can click and edit things in-line, instead of flipping from page to page to page.

Overall: Invoices for freelance work.

Pros: (1) User experience is exceptional. Tracking time within projects is extremely intuitive.

(2) Very visual product in terms of forecasted costs on a given project.

(3) Reporting is the best part - gather data based on team members, area of work, date range, etc.

Cons: (1) It appears there are multiple different funnels to get to the same information. These flows make the platform seem convoluted, redundant, and sometimes confusing.

(2) Invoicing UI could be improved. For example, creating and linking invoices to projects follows a seemingly arbitrary rule set.

Overall: Easy time tracking, reporting, and invoicing.

Comments: Pros: Harvest is a very simple time sheet tool for project time reporting. Good performance, good user experience, easy to use.

Cons: Harvest has poor reporting capabilities - you cannot see Margin for a project in the reporting. This is a basic functionality of time tracking for project management. When I asked Harvest about this, the customer service agent responded "Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way in Harvest to measure profit margins on projects. I'm sorry about that! While we don't have any plans to add profitability reporting right now, it is a common request we hear"

This makes our company often question the business value of Harvest and the future of Harvest's product. I challenge Harvest's Product Management team to go back to the basics of Product Management and seriously consider features that are "common requests" from your customers AND easy to implement with the data that you already have.

Pros: They have hands down some of the best support of any SAAS company, and for a very reasonable price tag. I almost always get same-day answers.

The basic features are very simple to use and are getting even more simple. I love that it has simple time tracking and invoicing that just work.

Cons: I wish you could style the invoices more, they look pretty bland. I also wish you could charge credit card fees to the customer automatically when they use a card (this is legal where I live in TN). And accepting e-check would be great, too. But I wouldn't be surprised if they implement some of these features, they've been requested!

Overall: Harvest allows us to easily set up projects, track budgets, and bill clients. No frills, just what you need.

Pros: It's simple and I can track all projects. It allows simple Estimates to be accepted by the client. And you can also turn all your billable hours into an invoice in an easy step. Cheap!

Cons: It doesn't allow for direct deposit pay now link, as I dont use Paypal for business. It doesnt offer window-capture tracking if you happen to have a VA, and the price goes up steeply when adding another user.

Pros: Our studio tried a lot of different time tracking programs before landing on Harvest. Its really easy to create new projects, track time against them, and create monthly invoices to send to clients. There is a desktop app that a lot of my designers use that makes it really easy for them to track their time accurately as well.

Cons: I haven't found a major issue with Harvest. For my needs, as a team leader, it works great. Though Im not sure what the experience is like for my director who has greater admin access. Considering we've stuck with Harvest this long, all must be going well!

Pros: Harvest is excellent for time-tracking on the fly. It works well on desktop and mobile. It's also great for generating professional-looking invoices and tracking payment and expenses.

Cons: The ONLY thing I don't like about Harvest is that funds deposited into a "retainer" don't show up in the financial report as income. I may have misunderstood the purpose of retainers when I first set up my account. Since then, they have added recurring invoice functionality, which eliminates the need for retainers (for my purposes).

Pros: I love that you can create tasks just for you. In our company we have created our own verbiage and this lets us create tasks just for us. It is so simple to create a new project.

Cons: Creating reports based on the work that was done for the day or for a total project can be a little tricky if you are not really good at computers. It would also be nice if on the mobile app you were reminded of a past time still running or if the project manager was notified by email that there is an employee with a timer still running.

Pros: I like that it is simple to get started and easy to use. It is so easy, you have to put very little effort into getting started. Billing is straight forward, making estimates is a breeze and the customer service has always been top notch and responsive.

Cons: It is not for project planning, which is something that I think would be very beneficial. Especially for a services based company, I would like to see the ability to create a simple project with associates time lines, budgets and deadlines. They introduced a partner product but it wasn't as intuitive as the time keeping.

Overall: I was able to easily track the time associated with projects and invoice based on those times. It was helpful to have that information not only for the project while it was inaction, but also for archival purposes to be able to estimate future projects. We had several users that contributed to the projects so it was a good tool to see how the project had progressed.

Pros: This is a must have app for software houses.

After initial setup it helps with:

- billing the client like a pro

- transparency with the client

- keep tracking of utilization of the devs

- maintain records of works done

Cons: Some learning curve required. Also some habit needs to be acquired.

After around 2 weeks teams acquired habit and remember to use time tracker correctly with issue tracker (tickets/jobs numbers).

Overall: - Transparency in settlements with clients,

- Transparency in pay for employees

Comments: Harvest is reliable, simple and comes with most of the features and reporting that I need to run my web agency. The integration with Basecamp is essential and the iphone app is a big plus. When it comes to time tracking, the simpler the better otherwise the time won't get recorded. Harvest does an excellent job on the user interface.

Pros: Interface, Ease of use, integrations

Cons: Would like more user permission options and more control over the quickbooks online integration.

Recommendations to other buyers: Record your time in the simplest way possible to start and get more detailed over time as you start to build the habit

Pros: For Mac, the best part of the software is the amazing menu bar functionality. I don't have to use a chrome extension, so when I'm working in Photoshop or some other offline app, I can still easily track my time!

Cons: The invoicing system is great ... except ... you have to choose ACH and/or credit card as a payment method globally. This is not ideal, as there are some invoices that I only want to offer ACH on (aka big ones that I don't want to pay credit card fees on).

Pros: I really like how easy it is to find buckets of time on harvest. I enjoy how easy it is to customize the tool for what we use it for at work. I frequently use the various reports on how people who report to me spend their time at the office. Its very helpful when assessing billable client hours on a project as well.

Cons: There are some issues navigating the reports and occasionally there will be time reporting discrepancies that clearly are a mistake.

Pros: We had many contractors working on various projects at our digital marketing agency. Harvest allowed me to have visibility into each project and provide transparency to our customers. It was easy to setup and quickly adopted by our team.

Cons: I really don't have anything negative to say - it worked very well for our needs. The free trial version is a great option for many freelancers that I know.

Overall: Excellent tool for project managers to track contractors and expenses.

Pros: It's super easy for our team to track and manage project hours. For freelancers and small teams, it's a no-brainer decision if you need to track time. The app, web extension and easy to use website make it super easy to get people into the habbit of tracking time. Stable software.

Cons: The subscription fees are steep when you have a larger team. The integrations are decent enough. The reporting is clunky and not as sophisticated as it should be for the price point. I always seem to have to export to excel to get the data points I need.

Overall: Insight into how we are doing on projects and better billing for our hourly projects.

Pros: One of the things I've discovered from doing freelance work is that I was highly underestimating the time it actually took me to do things. Whether it's something you've done before, or a brand new project, managing your time can be tricky-especially when working from home. Harvest allows you to track your time per project and per task. This can be incredibly helpful when you're doing a few different tasks within the same project or for the same client. Not only will this tool help you better track your time, it will also keep you more organized. It even allows you to create invoices directly in the app.

Cons: You can only track one task at a time, so for those who like to have multiple timers going, this may not be the best tool for you.

Pros: I love how simple the user interface is. It is easy to add and remove people from projects and tasks. I love the timer feature to get an accurate measure on how long I have been working. Tracking expenses is additionally very handy on here. The app allows you to do most things you would on the website. It is even easy to pull data into a third party to analyze.

Cons: There isn't much I dislike. It does become difficult to customize tasks if you're not an administrator and it is easy to forget if you are timing something but both of those are more user based. Not many complaints though.

Pros: Harvest is very easy to implement and fast to start using it productively. Tracking time is easy, and the reports are comprehensive. Works great also on mobile. For our team of 15, this is a great tool.

Cons: If you have a big team and a great deal of different projects, management can become unnecessarily complicated.

Overall: We can track how we use the time in projects very easily and also correct course if we're going over budget. Harvest has become almost indispensable for us.

Pros: As a small business owner, there is no better time tracking tool than Harvest. I love that it gives me the visibility I need on how much time I am investing in each project/client. This visibility (that takes no thought on my part- just press the button and work!) has given me the ability to make better, more informed and strategic decisions that ultimately make for a healthier business. This app- although simple- has dramatically transformed my business & life!

Cons: Not much. This app has been great and has met a very crucial need for my business that is well worth the price. The only potentially nice thing would be to have some sort of notification system to check in as I am working, so I am reminded when it is still running and when I may need to pause for a break or stop altogether (i've forgotten a number of times when i've paused or stopped working & left the timer on).

Pros: I love that the software is web-based so that no matter where I am, I can simply log in using a web browser. Additionally, Harvest offers an app for Android which allows me to track time, scan receipts for expenditures and generate invoices/accept payments.

Cons: I wish there was a way to add late fees/interest to invoices that are late and I wish there were a forms library to send out letters/communications that are routinely used with invoices, estimates, payments and debt collection. It would also be nice to have the ability to have a master account and be able to switch between multiple businesses/locations within that account.

Overall: Harvest saved me from having to purchase and learn a much-too-large software title for my small business - like QuickBooks when all I need is a simple time tracking and invoicing tool.

Comments: With its ease of use and clean UI that is very easy to navigate, I do recommend anyone looking for a good time-tracking app to try this out with the free trial.

Pros: Easy-enough interface. With the time budget input I can easily input the allotted times each project. My team members can see these and those assigned to the tasks can budget their time accordingly for each task/project to keep work within budget. And the total time worked seen on the time entries for the week is great too as it's real time so there's no need to manually add the times. We're using Harvest together with a project management software and it works for us.

Cons: Sometimes team members add or start the Harvest app and the times worked doesn't show on the team management platform we use unless the time was started within the integrated platform. So the team and our client who checks in there cannot see any time worked from Harvest unless they check on harvest directly. Otherwise, this is a very good time-tracking tool.

Pros: This is as simple as it gets for organizing projects, entering time and creating invoices. We process about 25 invoices per month, and this makes it all very easy, and even copies the invoices and payments over to QuickBooks directly.

Cons: It does not have a report on Payments received, which can be very frustrating sometimes.

Overall: We are a small consulting firm, and this was exactly what we needed for time-keeping, invoicing and payments.

Pros: There is virtually no ramp up time for Harvest, its incredibly intuitive and a new user can understand it on day one. I really appreciate the stopwatch feature and the integrations with other software like JIRA.

Pros: I like that this software is extremely user friendly. You only have to train someone one time for them to understand entering time correctly.

Cons: I sometimes have trouble reading budget bars. It seems odd that the overbudget projects red bar seems to eat back over the original budget. Visually, I think it makes sense to have the budget used up and then have the red extend past the budget bar indicating you are over budget instead of coming back and eating the blue bar up.

Overall: Easy time tracking and project budget visuals. This software integrates with our task list making tracking a breeze.

Pros: Harvest just announced some new integration with project management platforms like JIRA which is a HUGE time saver, and a game changer for teams who want to analyze their teams hourly work habits.

Comments: We are really in love with Harvest so far. It changed the way we log and invoice hours, as it is much easier due to the TEAMWORK integration and its built in features. Support is great and fast. Highly recommended.

Pros: Integration to TEAMWORK actually boost our use of TEAMWORK. Possible to FORECAST the team work load and compare estimated with actual time (extra $5 per user). Very nice REPORTING tools really help you to visualize and have insights about how your resources are used. Built in APPROVAL work flow to improve security and compliance. Easy way to INVOICE billable hours (Quickbooks and Xero integration).

Cons: Not possible to import entries from other systems was the only down side of implementing it so far as we are not able to see the historic data in the Harvest. Because we need to pay for different systems (TEAMWORK, HARVEST and FORECAST) the total cost per user for our company can be around $30. Not a problem but probably there are other systems that can do it all for the same price (but I need to say that Harvest has one of the best interfaces and reports that I ever see.

Pros: Harvest tracks time. No more, no less. That's a beauty of it. Name your task and click start. It's that easy. You can quickly edit you task title and adjust your time. I also think the reports are helpful. It's nice to see where you've spent most of your time. I've tried a few competitors and they just try too hard. It took so long to start tracking that I needed a separate tracker just for my time tracker! Harvest integrates with a lot of project management softwares as well.

Cons: I don't particularly care for the expenses portion. But that's just because I don't often request expenses. I can't really speak to it's functionality.

Overall: No fuss, just simple time tracking. It makes me more productive.

Pros: I needed a time tracker to use seamlessly with Basecamp. Did my research - I needed to be able to track time without using "Projects" in Basecamp. To my surprise, Harvest did this exactly how I needed it to work. I had contacted their customer service to ask if this would work, but event before they contacted me back, which was very quickly, I synced the programs and Whallah! It was done and easy. I was able to pull reports right away. Easy to enter, easy to change, easy to report, easy to....well...hopefully you get the picture - it was Easy!

Cons: Their options for just one person were exactly what I needed - so for me, there is nothing I didn't like. For larger groups - I would imagine this could get pricy.

Overall: I just installed it yesterday and have already utilized it's data in several different ways. This Add-ON was SPOT-ON.

Pros: Absolute best, using this Timesheet helps you get your work tracked your daily tasks monitored. Different reports can be extracted and reviewed later. You can follow up a project and check how much time it took you to finish the task, this is very useful if you are charging per hour. Employees in our organization submit a weekly sheet which can be edited, they can also observe their work through the week and improve themselves for the next project, you can also use it on a different devices.

Cons: Cost should be an issue for some organizations, however having Harvest gives an advantage

Pros: Harvest has everything that a small business owner would need to tracking the time spent by employees on projects. Harvest works well for consulting firms that need an easy way to track time against projects, but to also track time against various types of projects (e.g. fixed fee, hourly, time and materials, etc.). It can handle everything that you need, and can also connect with CRMs and other systems.

Cons: Harvest itself is a great application. It is easy to use and setup. However, the views for time entry can be hard to understand (specifically the weekly view) because users can capture hours but not include the descriptions.
