Harvest solves time tracking and client invoicing for solo consultants and the product itself works well. However, the undisclosed $80 application fee on free trial accounts effectively makes the platform a costly trap for new users evaluating the software. The benefit of seamless invoicing is completely undermined when 7% of your invoice disappears without warning and support refuses to make it right.

Pros

The time tracking interface is clean and intuitive. Logging hours against specific clients and projects is straightforward, and converting tracked time into an invoice is seamless. The Stripe integration setup was also simple and quick.

Cons

Harvest silently deducts an $80 application fee from invoice payments on free trial accounts — on top of Stripe's standard processing fees. On my first $2,000 invoice, I received only $1,861.70 with zero prior warning. There is no disclosure during onboarding, no warning when setting up Stripe, and nothing shown before the client pays. Customer support was extremely unhelpful — they cited an irrelevant cancellation policy, failed to read my issue, and billing ultimately offered no resolution despite multiple follow-ups.

I have used Harvest for a number of years and am more than happy overall. I find it is reasonably priced but wouldn't suggest any significant increases as I would question my other options.

Pros

Very easy to use so an easy learning curve, two factor authentication ensures security, excellent timetracking and project job costing, I use this for billing and integrates with Xero accounting software. I haven't come across any bugs and/or issues and never had to contact customer support. I can increase or reduce my team numbers at any stage and my costs are instantly amended.

Cons

I manage payments via Xero and these do not flow through to Harvest. I find the reporting is limited as I would like to see the discounts I provide clients and do a little more reporting on clients billings etc.

The customer support is reasonably responsive whenever there's any bugs or questions. Overall enjoy using this to keep track of time and file expenses as a company tool. A little expensive for the individual plan but more competitive for premium vs. other options, so this clearly panders to company signups.

Pros

It's intuitive and easy to get started using the platform. Keeping track of time is pretty straightforward and there's a decent amount of features.

Cons

It would be fantastic if there could be different colored tabs. It's black and white at the top, which looks very nice as part of the overall simplistic theme, but it does make it more difficult to differentiate quickly.

Overall Harvest has been a good and reliable time tracking, and project management product. It's also setup to be integrated with Helpdesk ticketing systems.

Pros

Time tracking, project management/collaboration and integration. I like the ability to have it integrated with Zendesk.

Cons

Pros

Very customizable with the time sheet options and the ability to add categories and sub categories to a specific time block. Easy to learn right away with a simple and clean user interface and able to easily edit time so it is not rigid or if you accidentally forget it on you can go back and fix it.

Cons

I don't like that it does not send you the "did you leave your timer on" towards the end of my work day as a reminder to turn it off. Instead I get it at odd hours or the next morning and I have to figure out when I actually stopped working because the clock just keeps going.

Somme toute, c'est très agréable de travailler avec Harvest. Le visuel est beau, les fonctionnalités sont simples et facile d'accès.

Pros

C'est vraiment facile de comptabiliser le temps en entrant peu de données pour y arriver puisque plusieurs données de base ont été entrées en amont. L'utilisation de la plateforme est simple et se former est facile!

Cons

Il y a certains rapports qui sont limités et qui ne permettent pas d'avoir des données pourtant importantes.

Very positive, very easy to understand and we all used it for a small company for a long time, as we grew it was harder to use.

Pros

The most simple time tracking software i've ever used! Easy to understand and very good at time tracking and project timesheets.

Cons

Unfortunately there's other products out there that offer multiple additional features, Harvest is just time tracking whereas others offer billing etc.

Muy limpia, una vez que tienes los permisos ya puedes asignar tiempo a proyectos de forma muy intuitiva, sin necesidad de estar haciendo hacks en el teclado como en otros softwares

Pros

Simplicidad. No hay complicaciones en la interfaz de usuario. Recordatorios no intrusivos. Facilidad de uso. Poder colocar solo un número y que se autorellene el ":00" después, para poner horas.

Cons

Más visibilidad para gestionar o acceder a proyectos. Sería bueno poder, como usuario, solicitar al responsable ser incluido en diferentes proyectos
