After putting in your client projects you can do so many thing to help track and manage project times. For us a typical job will pass over 3-4 stations before completion and sometimes we use par deum help. We came across this software from a simple google search and used the free trial. It was so helpful to track both employee progress and the amount of time each person touched on a job. Adding users was simple and it seems well worth the money to help calculate expenses related to a project from design to shipping. Pros Being able to oversea how many hours were spent on a project from start to finish across multiple employees. Cons The only con for us was the cost, although we do plan to budget for this software in the future to continue use. Setup and implementation was easy, and it quickly became a critical tool for our business. Pros Harvest makes it easy to track time and invoice clients. There are multiple ways to track time, including an app. You can start a timer on your computer using the browser, and stop the timer from the app. It's a seamless experience. Creating and sending invoices is easy, and it integrates with payment processing platforms like Stripe, so clients are able to pay invoices online by clicking a button. Cons One of our clients expressed that he wasn't a fan of our invoicing system, but we weren't able to get more detail about what it was that he didn't like. August 30, 2019 4.0 Pros Mixed reviews on the pro section like the cons, but the immediate thought you get while you get this, is where to begin. Its a rush to see everything that is offered in the program. Literally everything you need is right in one program. Just not that simple to get used to. Cons Mixed reviews on this, its simple to use, you get everything you need all in one place. I helped out a friend by looking at this and they tried it out, and I watched every move they made with this. I noticed this gets sort of difficult to use at certain spots. In my opinion, I think this program is slipping below some other programs that are somewhat better to use in other words. Other people may have a better take, or grasp on this program. Cons I think the filtering and search options aren't as developed as everything else with Harvest and doing searches often takes more time than it should . The interface is small and doesn't interfere with the workflow. It is flexible so that team members who prefer to use the full browser version are able to do that. It basically tracks the work you do over the day/week/month.., however it does more- you can set up billing and routine tasks to calculate how much time was spent on a project and decide how to charge client. The main thing you want when it comes to this trivial task is that it is simple, quick, and can tell you a lot from just a little. Harvest does just that and provides a very easy to use platform that makes time tracking more enjoyable than it ought to be! Cons Somewhat limited functionality in regards to reporting and could use more dashboard customization. Perfect for freelance work, sub optimal for empolyed work. Pros The software was easy to use and setup. It also has an amazing plugin that allows you to automatically track the work time and autopauses if you forget to open it. It's working fine, but for the money we pay we would like a lot more functionality. In general, I'd rather have some other soft for €10/mo with unlimited users that helps us do time tracking and generate reports. August 15, 2018 5.0 Pros As a small business owner, there is no better time tracking tool than Harvest. I love that it gives me the visibility I need on how much time I am investing in each project/client. This visibility (that takes no thought on my part– just press the button and work!) has given me the ability to make better, more informed and strategic decisions that ultimately make for a healthier business. This app– although simple– has dramatically transformed my business & life! Cons Not much. This app has been great and has met a very crucial need for my business that is well worth the price. The only potentially nice thing would be to have some sort of notification system to check in as I am working, so I am reminded when it is still running and when I may need to pause for a break or stop altogether (i've forgotten a number of times when i've paused or stopped working & left the timer on).
