Harvest lets me track my time, note down what project that time is being spent on, and then bill my client with zero fuss. Pros The flexibility. It allows me to go in and put in my time manually or to just time when I start and finish. There's no headache if I forget to click the button when I start. And I don't have to try to calculate my time for the week because it's right there. Cons I haven't yet found an easy readout for total time for the month yet. Cons It's just a little bit expensive compared to some other applications that do very similar things, it depends on how much of the functionality you will use as to whether it will be worth it for your business. It works really well for us as many of our "employees" are contractors that draft in based on project requirements. It's really easy to use and to generate reports. Cons Fails to curb the behavior most people have of not tracking their time till it's time for submission (once a week). So aside from the super diligent folks, there weren't useful reminder features to get you to use Harvest once a day or more like it's meant to be used. Pros I like how simple it can be to add time and organize projects. It has an easy to read dashboard that provides a nice snapshot of how you are utilizing your hours. It is really user-friendly and doesn't disturb at work, and integrates well with a couple of tools we use. Cons I find pricing quite high, but it still is not offputting. Checking where I invest less or more time in, and enjoying how easy it is so use Pros I really like the fact that it can be integrated into Asana and keep my task and times together. Is also very easy to look at past weeks and see in what projects you spend time. Cons From time to time it need to be refresh so it goes back to your actual day and time. It's an easy click fix. I love the expenses feature as well. The phone app makes it so easy to add an expense, take a photo of the receipt and submit it for reimbursement. No need to mess with scanning, cropping and uploading images! Pros I love the simplicity of Harvest. There aren't a lot of frills and unnecessary bells and whistles. I didn't enjoy putting in my hours, i think it could be better with improved user experience. Sometimes I dread submitting my hours cause I tend to input incorrectly. Pros I like the options for phone app and on the computer. Easy to submit hours. Sends me reminders every week. Cons I didn't like how I input hours. For example you write 2:30 for 2 hours and 30 mins. Sometimes i make a mistake and put 2.5, which is wrong because it means 2hours 50 minutes. I also don't know how it kept inputting off decimal numbers. I home there was a helpful guide on how to use it. I also would love to see an option to custom view how you input hours, for example monthly. Right now it only shows weekly and daily. I wish there was an automatic tracker you could voice memo into and say working on X client right now and then say stopped working on X client and it went to the phone like Siri. Stopping and opening a website was too distracting for my actual work. Pros I liked the ease and set up of the app and to be able to add all of my employees. Also the idea of being able to generate reports of where time was spent seemed valuable. Cons It was me that I disliked most about the app! It was hard for me to get into the habit of tracking time. June 15, 2019 4.0 I have only used Harvest for about 5 months in total - and, overall, it's been a positive experience. I really can't find anything about Harvest to complain about. Now, I would like to preface that, I did not use this application for consultation purposes; however, I have talked with other business owners who have used Harvest for invoicing and sending payment reminders to customers. Do note, this program can get a bit costly. Pros \- For first time users, this is very easy. - Two different time tracking options: timed or manual. - Reporting is made easy with Harvest's tool. - Integratable for consultation businesses. Cons \- Everything must be timed under a project. So, if you don't have an assigned project, and simply looking to track your time, you really can't. - Can be costly. Pros Harvest is accessible from anywhere, which make it great for any kind of user. The dashboards are also easy to use and understand. Especially if they maintain more than one client. Pros As a freelancer, I've used Harvest extensively to track projects, time, and bill my clients. It's a great suite and helps do what it's designed to efficiently. Cons There are some minor issues with the UI flow that bug me. Pros I recently started using Harvest and I love it! I love that it just shows up on the top on my Macbook so I can easily add time without going on the website! Cons I wish there was a way to tell if your timesheet has been approved on the app! But other than that, it's great!
