It was great because it was very easy to use. Simple to learn, no training needed, and easy to access. There is an app so you can track your time on the go. Although, you could only track your time down to one, maybe two levels, so if we wanted to track our time to as more granular level we couldn't. You can white label it with your own logo so it looks company branded as well. Pros It was great because it was very easy to use. Simple to learn, no training needed, and easy to access. We use this to show the profitability of certain clients in detailed reports. It is nice to use Harvest, because it is extremely user friendly for the employees, but has the report complexity that upper level management would like to see. Cons Not often, but every once in a while, there are system glitches in user set up. Most often for a user not to have access to certain things when you have allowed them access. You can track how much is being spent on a certain project, and how long it has been running. This way, you'll know if you are making or losing money, and you can identify who has been slacking off ! There are timers to start/stop and automatically track your time to a task within a project. - You can track expenses across multiple projects with multiple employees. - You can track how much time each employee works on a specific task and how long they have worked in a week Cons \- Employees need to be committed to properly tracking their time, tasks, etc. otherwise you won't get accurate results. Pros Love that it has an integration with Asana, makes it easy to track time, and when looking back at reports we can see where time was being spent, and how much it cost. In Asana, you can add time right to a task, and then it will appear in Harvest where you can see your total time for the week/month/year, and make changes if necessary. Cons If you need to clock time that isn't part of a task it's hard to just create something and add time. Works well and is a much better option than keeping spread sheets to record and charge-out time. Pros Very simple to use and you can track your time from anywhere, anytime. Helps analyse where you are spending too much time and not enough so you (and your team) can be more productive. Also useful to help with costing / charging / invoicing. Cons Some setup time is needed to administrate multiple users, which can be a bit of work if just one person is the administrator; however, a level of "start-up" and "maintenance" effort can be expected for any system. Invoice is extremely intuitive and they can be customized as you please . You can compartmentalize the time you spent on a project and also view on which aspects you spent the most of it ,which is great for making adjustments . Cons I don't think the price is justified and will probably stick to rare usage of the free version . It proved effective and valuable for my team at the time. However, upon doing more research, I did find better programs that offered more for a cheaper price per user. Pros \- Easy to learn and use - Great for tracking team member's hours - Ability to manually enter time and have a timer. - The customer service seems to be pretty good here. Cons \- There are better time management platforms that can help to minimize the room for error or team member's inserting more time spent. - Can be costly, in comparison to other programs on the market.
