### "Intacct User Review"

April 18, 2023

5.0

Overall we have been very impressed from the product itself to the customer service as well.

Pros

I absolutely love the integrations with other software, it has made our life so much easier and streamlined our month-end close process by a lot!

Cons

Nothing yet - so far the team has been great and we are able to usually find a way to make anything work that we need.

Reason for choosing Sage Intacct

We knew we were gong with Intacct so we didn't look at any others.

### "Sage Intacct is a very good system"

June 19, 2026

4.0

Overall, Sage Intacct has been a success for us. It is light years better than what we previously used and for the most part pretty easy and smooth to use. Only downside is some lack of basic things we would expect to see in the system and the feeling of being duped after contract signing in regards to API.

Pros

Sage Intacct overall was a huge upgrade for our company. Overall the ease of use, transaction management, deep customization of user accounts and the ability to integrate in and out of the system has been a game changer for us. We have been able to not only speed up our processes and close but with more security and restrictions...big win for us.

Cons

I feel like there are a few pain points that hold me back from giving a 5 star. Small things like why I can't run reports showing specific date ranges but instead of have to use a predetermined reporting range. Seems like something that should be available. Also, customer support is okay. They usually get back pretty quick and are helpful but I tend to get "put in a request" into the Intacct Community on items that should be in every system. Lastly, we've experienced API usage allowance and price change right after to signing our contract. Felt like we got duped a little. Then it feels like we get nickled and dimed for stuff... Been a bit of thorn with us.

### "Easy to use, but expensive and has little support "

June 22, 2026

2.0

It's too expensive for what we are getting. We do not receive good support from the account manager, and when we do it feels like we are always being told something is going to cost more money. I also feel the account managers do not actually understand Intacct, which makes it difficult to communicate our needs.

Pros

User friendly--it's an easy system to learn how to use and to teach. The accounts receivable side does not have any issues, but I do not feel we are able to use the system to it's full potential.

Cons

Customer Support is lacking, and the reporting is terrible. I am also unable to reconcile the accounts payable ledger to the General ledger without many manual steps. I have also had many bugs and issues lately where I've had to put in support tickets due to the updates they post causing problems. This has happened the past two month ending reporting periods and caused major delays for our team.

Response from Sage

June 23, 2026

Hi, Brianna. I regret hearing you're not getting the support you need. Feel free to message me to let me know whether you purchased Sage directly from us or from a partner. That way, I can hopefully connect you with someone who can help you with some of the issues you're encountering. Intacct should be eliminating manual work -- not adding to it! So I think there's a missing piece. Also most people rate our reporting capabilities very highly, but we have gotten feedback that getting the hang of customized reports can be a challenge, and we're working to remedy that. I say this because maybe if I can connect with you learning resources and figure out the support issue, we can get you back on track.

### "Positive Move to Sage Intacct"

June 25, 2026

5.0

Implementing Sage Intacct has been a massive step forward for our accounting function. The support received from our partner has been first class. Moving from Sage 50 to Intacct has brought many benefits and allows us to provide better reports.

Pros

Easy to use, many dimensions for capturing lots of data, easy to create new reports, excellent customer support with queries answered promptly

Cons

The Fixed asset module feels a bit outdated and could benefit from a refresh (might be the version we use). Pricing per module can be a bit expensive if there are only parts of the module you want to use

### "Solid platform, but be prepared to pay extra for every new feature"

May 12, 2026

4.0

Intacct is a capable platform and a real step up from entry-level accounting tools, especially for reporting and multi-entity work. That said, the experience comes with a constant asterisk: almost every feature worth having is a separate add-on, and the price tag keeps growing as Sage rolls out new capabilities. You sign for one number and end up evaluating add-on quotes every renewal. Once you accept that pricing reality and get past the implementation learning curve, the core system does its job well — but go in with eyes open about the true long-term cost.

Pros

The dimensions-based reporting is the biggest win for us. We can slice financials by department, location, and project without creating a bloated chart of accounts. Building custom reports and dashboards is straightforward once you learn the report writer, and everything updates in real time instead of waiting on an Excel export. Support has always been able to solve my issues.

Cons

The biggest frustration is that nearly every meaningful feature is a paid add-on. Basic project tracking is included, but the published capabilities you actually want? Add-on. AI features? Add-on. General journal auto-reconciliation? Add-on. Closing automation? Add-on. Every improvement or new capability they roll out and market seems to come with a separate SKU and another line on the invoice, so the "all-in" cost keeps creeping up well past what you signed for. On top of that, the learning curve is steeper than the sales process suggests, the UI feels dated in places, and support response times can vary depending on who picks up your ticket.

### "VP of Technical Services"

July 6, 2026

4.0

Overall experience has been good. Our partner is very responsive and knowledgeable. Out of the box integrations with CRM systems are not available directly from Sage, however we've been able to find 3rd party integrations that make the integration more manageable.

Pros

SaaS solution that is stable and covers all our accounting needs. Seamless integration with our CRM system. Ease of Use by both our accounting department, COO and Sales team, with ease of use with Dashboards.

Cons

Dashboards load slowly. Get consistent complaints that the speed to run reports is slow. Reports require customized development to be able to calculate Gross Profit values, which should be offered as standard reports. Additional modules such as Contracts come in at a hefty price. Lower price point should be available for small business use. Also ability to process multiple orders at once automatically adds additional manual work.

### "Sage Intacct a great system the last 8 years!"

June 29, 2026

5.0

Overall, it is a great system. We installed it in July 2018 and has been flawless. System up all the time. Staff working remotely without any incidents. Customer support has been great over the years

Pros

Cons

### "Great service!"

June 24, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Sage Intacct has been positive. It is a powerful and reliable financial management solution that offers excellent reporting capabilities, automation, and scalability. While there is some initial complexity during setup and onboarding, the long-term benefits in efficiency, visibility, and financial control make it a valuable platform for growing organizations.

Pros

Sage Intacct provides strong financial reporting and visibility into business performance. The dashboard and reporting tools are highly customizable, making it easy to access real-time financial data and generate detailed reports. The cloud-based platform is user-friendly, scalable, and helps streamline accounting processes while improving efficiency and accuracy.

Cons

The system can have a steep learning curve for new users, especially when configuring advanced features or custom reports. Some processes require multiple steps, and certain customizations may require additional support or training. The implementation process can also be time-consuming depending on business complexity.

### "Complex to Navigate, Impressive Scaling"

May 13, 2026

3.0

Not very easy to use, but the scaling and accuracy is impressive. Not very easy to receive support from Sage Intacct. Long waiting times to get answers for questions or help with, for example, importing data, even thorugh very high rates are charged for this support.

Pros

I appreciate Sage Intacct's ability to process large volumes of data, which is crucial as our company grows and our revenue increases. The consistent accuracy in billing our members from around the world is reassuring.

Cons

I find Sage Intacct not very user-friendly. It feels like only a Sage expert can use it effectively. For example, using printed document templates for invoices is challenging. You have to find the correct merge field to use in Word documents, and there's no way to see how the invoice will look until you send out a test invoice. The initial setup was also terribly difficult, and we are still struggling with it.

### "A great program"

June 24, 2026

5.0

I really have no complaints. It functions well and is user friendly. The whole program does everything that we need and still has things that we are not using yet.

Pros

Sage intacct is a very broad program and can do so much in accounting. We still have yet to utilize the whole system but it really makes things so easy and all in one.

Cons

I do not like the report writing. It is really difficult and takes a lot of productive time that could be used else where. Some of the filters also are a little more time consuming to get like you want.

### "Highly Efficient and Reliable Accounting Solution"

May 4, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It has significantly improved efficiency in financial management and reporting. The system provides strong visibility into financial data and supports multi-entity and multi-dimensional reporting, which is extremely valuable. While there is a learning curve at the beginning, once established, it becomes an essential tool for day-to-day accounting operations. I would highly recommend it to organizations looking for a robust and scalable accounting solution.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a powerful and reliable accounting platform. Its reporting capabilities are excellent, allowing for detailed, customizable financial reports that support better decision-making. The system is user-friendly once implemented, and the cloud-based access makes it easy to work from anywhere. I also appreciate the strong audit trails and controls, which are critical for maintaining accuracy and compliance. Overall, it streamlines processes like invoicing, general ledger management, and financial analysis very effectively

Cons

The initial setup and implementation can be time-consuming and may require outside support, especially for more complex organizations. Some modules and features can feel less intuitive at first, and occasional system glitches or delays can occur. Additionally, certain customizations and integrations may require technical expertise or additional cost.

Switched from

Main reasons: Scalability: QuickBooks works for simple needs, but struggles with multiple entities or growth Advanced reporting: Sage Intacct offers real-time, customizable financial insights Automation: Reduces manual work and errors (less reliance on spreadsheets) Multi-entity management: Handles multiple locations or companies much more efficiently Better visibility: Provides a full, consolidated view of financial data for decision-making In short: We switched because QuickBooks became too limited, and Sage Intacct provides the automation, reporting, and scalability needed to support growth.

### "Intacct is a winner!"

April 30, 2026

5.0

I’ve had a positive experience with Intacct, we took our time with implementation and created a system that works for our company. There’s still so much to learn with all the available features, excited to use Intacct to its full potential.

Pros

Intacct has given us a quicker close, better reporting, and less software to use! It’s a was to learn software.

Cons

### "Best in Class for Non-Profits"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Fantastic product for mid-size non-profit - it allows flexibility as well as strong internal controls. We are able to integrate purchasing, payroll, timesheets and other activities with ease.

Pros

It is so flexible - we are able to manage grants, contracts and projects in the same space without having to increase the size of our chart of accounts.

Cons

The fixed asset module is not sophisticated - we would prefer to have an internal asset management tool that calculates depreciation and allows for allocations. We currently use one of Intacct's partners for asset management within the system.

Excellent customer service. Product has all the modules we need for our accounting and the ability to keep track by contract for contract reporting.

Pros

Cons

### "You Can't Go Wrong With Intacct!"

May 1, 2026

5.0

It didn't take long to get familiar and comfortable with Intacct. Most of the information is straightforward, you just need to get in and use the system. It is worth getting some training, especially for areas where you want to focus on. Also, if you are a former MIP user like me, I think it will be easier to get used to Intacct.

Pros

It's pretty easy to use. I was using NetSuite before, which is a good system, but Sage is a lot easier to use and provides the same things, such as revenue recognition and allocations. I also love that there are many interfaces with so many other systems, such as Salesforce, bill.com, etc.

Cons

Creating reports can take a little time to get used to, but once you figure out how to maneuver it becomes pretty straightforward.

### "One Happy Accountant"

March 18, 2026

5.0

I struggled with the concept of dimensions in Sage Intacct during the exploration phase with my integrator. After I came to understand that it was like magic happened. It changed the way I thought about the chart of accounts, transactions, reporting and how streamlined I could make the audit. It has been an amazing journey and I hope to finish my career with Sage Intacct being the last accounting application I ever use! Where was this during the first 25 years of my career?

Pros

The thing that I like most about Sage Intacct is the flexibility to design and tailor dashboards and dashlets to each of our team members with budget responsibility. The ease of use of the drill-down ability enables the non accounting team to view their spend real-time, which enables them to focus on their mission centric tasks and maximize ROI. As a bonus. it enables the accounting team to be hyper efficient and focus efforts on higher level tasks. That makes the investment in dashboards a must have for our organization.

Cons

Honestly, I have been the CFO of my organization for 18 years and have used a wide variety of accounting applications over the course of my 30 year career. I can honestly say, there isn't much that I don't like about Sage Intacct. Maybe I'm fortunate (or just got lucky), but I can't recall experiencing a bug or issue with the product - which is not true for the other applications I have used. Updates are frequent enough, but not too frequent. I have been using Sage Intacct for 4 years and have yet had to log a single support ticket. When I have stumbled onto what could have been bugs or issues, I can usually find the solution/answer in the training materials or help database. Well done Sage team! Well done!

5.0

My overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It is a robust, cloud-native financial management system that delivers strong core accounting, excellent reporting, and solid scalability for growing organizations. The dimensional accounting model and real-time dashboards significantly improved financial visibility and decision-making, while features like multi-entity consolidation and automation streamlined month-end close and reduced manual effort.

Pros

Its combination of powerful financial functionality and intuitive usability. The real-time reporting and dimensional accounting stood out in particular, as they made it easy to slice financial data by department, project, or location without complex workarounds. I also appreciated how well it supports multi-entity and multi-currency operations, which is critical for scaling organizations. Pros

What I like most about Sage Intacct is how easy it makes complex financial management. The dimensional structure is a game changer — I can slice and filter data by program, department, or fund without creating hundreds of GL accounts. Reports that used to take hours in Excel now take minutes, and they actually stay accurate. The dashboards are clean and customizable, which makes it simple to share real-time numbers with leadership or the board. Automation for things like allocations, recurring entries, and approvals saves a huge amount of time each month. It also integrates smoothly with systems like ADP, which keeps our data consistent across platforms.

Cons

Some of the reporting is way more difficult than I think it needs to be. I wish there were a world that I could just pick what accounts I want listed on a report and not "groups". Certain changes/corrections are impossible to make; you have to reverse everything and start all over.

Reason for choosing Sage Intacct

Pricing and ease of use seemed better in comparison to the other products.

CS Professional Suite was incredibly slow, would crash frequently, and did not provide basic functionality we needed.

### "Overall a Good Product, But Missing Important Features"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, I still prefer QuickBooks, but I do see value that Sage offers that QuickBooks doesn't. If Sage offered the features mentioned above, I would likely prefer it over QB.

Pros

I like the customizability of the software. We're a nonprofit with multiple entities, so it's important that we be able to make the software do what we need it to do.

Cons

There are features I feel are common sense that aren't available, such as the ability to attach documentation to anything, the ability to "next" through credit card transactions, and the ability to reclass credit card transactions post-reconciliation.

### "Powerful System for Growing Organizations"

March 19, 2026

4.0

Overall using this cloud accounting system has proven to be a great automation system for my companies

Pros

With Sage Intacct I have had the pleasure of being able to use its advanced financial reporting for otherwise complex business structures.

Cons

Certain entries are unable to be deleted permanently rather there is a "reversed" option which essentially does perform the same act however still remains visible which i do not love.
