Overall, it is a great system. We installed it in July 2018 and has been flawless. System up all the time. Staff working remotely without any incidents. Customer support has been great over the years

Absolute and immediate financial visibility. This software eliminates accounting ambiguities and provides perfect traceability, allowing you to steer corporate growth with complete peace of mind.

Pros

The financial reports generated in real time are surgically precise, making presentations to the board of directors significantly easier. The cloud architecture is impeccably stable.

Cons

The user interface, while functional, maintains a very rigid and austere look that can intimidate non-financial team members. Furthermore, any custom report development outside of standard templates requires advanced technical skills, making the tool quite dependent on expert support.

Found support from the US difficult and slow. Had difficulty in joining the learning community with log in issues at their end.

The detail of information you can report on. Allocating payroll and expenses to individual employees.

American definitions and too many options. Difficulties in editing and finding the appropriate editing opportunities

Great overall experience. I would summarize Sage as more robust system than one like Quickbooks, and it matches the power of an SAP or NetSuite, for the most part. There are a few UI nuances between those higher tier solutions & more bells & whistles, but it's a great core ERP with a lot of connectivity to outside applications making it a great candidate for lots of different companies.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a great tool for those that have outgrown a starter ERP but want to minimize the cost and upkeep compared to higher tier solutions. It allows for a lot of customization, automation & clean dashboarding / reporting. Embedded with a financial planning tool, it's a really robust system.

Cons

It is not always the most flexible and customizable tool within it's pre-established bounds & can lead to customizations or middleware integrations. There are a few operational components that are abnormal to accounting functions, such as customer refunds.

Implementing Sage Intacct has been a massive step forward for our accounting function. The support received from our partner has been first class. Moving from Sage 50 to Intacct has brought many benefits and allows us to provide better reports.

Pros

Easy to use, many dimensions for capturing lots of data, easy to create new reports, excellent customer support with queries answered promptly

Cons

The Fixed asset module feels a bit outdated and could benefit from a refresh (might be the version we use). Pricing per module can be a bit expensive if there are only parts of the module you want to use

Overall the experience has been great because the product works very well and the customer service is very helpful.

Pros

Easy to deploy and use the system for all accounting needs. They also have other modules available for payroll/Construction.

Cons

The reporting can be a little tricky to create and amend. The basic reporting layout is antiquated.

Overall we're happy with Intacct. Seems to be a good value for the money and gives us what we need without being overly complicated.

Pros

It's easy to use and relatively intuitive. Our accounting is simple so we don't use all of the functionality.

Cons

We haven't been able to get the intercompany interactions to work the way we want. Specifically I want to be able to be able to debit an expense account in another entity directly when entering an invoice and have the corresponding IC entries made automatically. Instead we debit the Due From account on one entity and then have to make a manual entry on the other entity.

I can speak of Sage 300 and Sage Intacct. I prefer 300 and the support I had with 300. That being said overall Sage Intacct is fine, but it's also dependent on the implementation of it and support. I like the report output and it's somewhat easy to build reports. Report output is good.

Pros

Easy to ramp up knowledge having never used it prior. The GUI is clear. Report output is good. Ease of doing journal entries. Building reports is somewhat easy.

Cons

Sometimes customer support is lacking knowledge and or does not understand the issues and there is much back and forth. Had some journal entries disappear. bug or user err?

Overall, it has a been a positive experience. Some items have a steeper learning, curve, but overall, it has been pretty positive.

Pros

I really like the rather multidimensional approach to coding transactions. It isn't just limited to just accounts and one other transaction. It has also been a very reliable bit of software, and I do appreciate that.

Cons

Besides the integration process, the least favorite thing is that our main banks at the time were not supported even though they are listed by Intacct as being supported. This slowed our workflow considerably until we got the hang of the system.
