### "One Happy Accountant"

March 18, 2026

5.0

I struggled with the concept of dimensions in Sage Intacct during the exploration phase with my integrator. After I came to understand that it was like magic happened. It changed the way I thought about the chart of accounts, transactions, reporting and how streamlined I could make the audit. It has been an amazing journey and I hope to finish my career with Sage Intacct being the last accounting application I ever use! Where was this during the first 25 years of my career?

Pros

The thing that I like most about Sage Intacct is the flexibility to design and tailor dashboards and dashlets to each of our team members with budget responsibility. The ease of use of the drill-down ability enables the non accounting team to view their spend real-time, which enables them to focus on their mission centric tasks and maximize ROI. As a bonus. it enables the accounting team to be hyper efficient and focus efforts on higher level tasks. That makes the investment in dashboards a must have for our organization.

Cons

Honestly, I have been the CFO of my organization for 18 years and have used a wide variety of accounting applications over the course of my 30 year career. I can honestly say, there isn't much that I don't like about Sage Intacct. Maybe I'm fortunate (or just got lucky), but I can't recall experiencing a bug or issue with the product - which is not true for the other applications I have used. Updates are frequent enough, but not too frequent. I have been using Sage Intacct for 4 years and have yet had to log a single support ticket. When I have stumbled onto what could have been bugs or issues, I can usually find the solution/answer in the training materials or help database. Well done Sage team! Well done!

### "Strong Financial Visibility & Workflow Efficiency With Room to Modernize"

May 4, 2026

4.0

Overall, Sage Intacct has been an efficient and reliable system for managing our financial operations. It has helped us stay organized, improved transparency with leadership and the board, and made audit preparation more manageable. It’s a strong platform for organizations that value control, visibility, and integration—especially if you’re willing to invest a bit of time in optimizing reporting.

Pros

Sage Intacct has significantly improved financial visibility across our organization. Our entire executive team can easily access real-time financial statements and dashboards, which keeps everyone aligned on performance throughout the fiscal year. The accounts payable workflow is especially strong—routing invoices for department-level approval is straightforward and has streamlined our internal controls. We’ve also reduced paper usage dramatically, which has been a meaningful operational win. Perhaps most valuable is the integration with our CRM, allowing for real-time record keeping and better coordination between finance and revenue functions.

Cons

The interface is starting to feel a bit dated compared to newer platforms, even though it remains clean and functional. Some reporting and filtering capabilities still require extra effort to fine-tune, and we occasionally rely on our consultant to get reports exactly where we need them. That said, this has also created opportunities for cross-team collaboration and deeper understanding of our data.

### "Best in Class for Non-Profits"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Fantastic product for mid-size non-profit - it allows flexibility as well as strong internal controls. We are able to integrate purchasing, payroll, timesheets and other activities with ease.

Pros

It is so flexible - we are able to manage grants, contracts and projects in the same space without having to increase the size of our chart of accounts.

Cons

The fixed asset module is not sophisticated - we would prefer to have an internal asset management tool that calculates depreciation and allows for allocations. We currently use one of Intacct's partners for asset management within the system.

### "Intacct is a winner!"

April 30, 2026

5.0

I’ve had a positive experience with Intacct, we took our time with implementation and created a system that works for our company. There’s still so much to learn with all the available features, excited to use Intacct to its full potential.

Pros

Intacct has given us a quicker close, better reporting, and less software to use! It’s a was to learn software.

Cons

The AP approval process is not as custom as we thought. Outside vendors have a better workflow than the standard Intacct software.

### "Happy customer"

April 29, 2026

4.0

We need less support, and if we do need it, it is readerly available. The down time before on upgrades etc. has also been a big improvement for us.

Pros

Ease of use- it is easy to acquaint oneself, online access - important to be able to work from anywhere, customer support, bugs and issues

Cons

Moving from a big ERP system we had our concerns if all business processes where still in place. We are very happy with the result.

### "Solid platform, but be prepared to pay extra for every new feature"

May 12, 2026

4.0

Intacct is a capable platform and a real step up from entry-level accounting tools, especially for reporting and multi-entity work. That said, the experience comes with a constant asterisk: almost every feature worth having is a separate add-on, and the price tag keeps growing as Sage rolls out new capabilities. You sign for one number and end up evaluating add-on quotes every renewal. Once you accept that pricing reality and get past the implementation learning curve, the core system does its job well — but go in with eyes open about the true long-term cost.

Pros

The dimensions-based reporting is the biggest win for us. We can slice financials by department, location, and project without creating a bloated chart of accounts. Building custom reports and dashboards is straightforward once you learn the report writer, and everything updates in real time instead of waiting on an Excel export. Support has always been able to solve my issues.

Cons

The biggest frustration is that nearly every meaningful feature is a paid add-on. Basic project tracking is included, but the published capabilities you actually want? Add-on. AI features? Add-on. General journal auto-reconciliation? Add-on. Closing automation? Add-on. Every improvement or new capability they roll out and market seems to come with a separate SKU and another line on the invoice, so the "all-in" cost keeps creeping up well past what you signed for. On top of that, the learning curve is steeper than the sales process suggests, the UI feels dated in places, and support response times can vary depending on who picks up your ticket.

### "Sage Intacct eases integrations"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, we're happy with Sage Intacct. It has really improved our accounting experience after switching from Quickbooks as we moved to a multi entity/currency organization. We use a number of additional modules beyond the core subscription and they've really enhanced our processes.

Pros

We like the user interface of Intacct and the core modules are great and easy to navigate. Because we have to integrate our Procurement, Expense and CRM systems, we like the ability to be able to integrate so many systems that we use seamlessly with the Intacct API. The various modules we use have provided a lot of efficiencies to our internal processes. The order entry module makes customer invoicing very easy to manage and post revenue.

Cons

Some of the reporting, while robust, is not conducive for public companies/auditors. Sometimes troubleshooting issues is hard or diving into objects that show up on audit logs is hard to back into. Also having the audit reports limited to people with admin privileges is problematic for managers managing their audit responsibilities and creates SOD conflicts. Having to use external systems for some of the core functionality causes additional expense but is necessary as our company has matured. Engineering problems take months to resolve with customer support.

### "Sage Intaact Training and Implementation"

March 13, 2026

3.0

Training was very fast and furious with very little time to try the system before it was on to the next training. I would encourage more in depth training on each piece with time to do on the system before adding another training. Reporting was part of the end of the training and it was a blur by the time I needed it. Training team is very good, just not enough of it.

Pros

East of entry into the system and being able to scan everything in one place. Payment approvals in the system.

Cons

Reporting is limited and hard to manipulate to get what you need. No invoice approvals in the system to assign to users to sign off to keep it paperless.

### "Highly Efficient and Reliable Accounting Solution"

May 4, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It has significantly improved efficiency in financial management and reporting. The system provides strong visibility into financial data and supports multi-entity and multi-dimensional reporting, which is extremely valuable. While there is a learning curve at the beginning, once established, it becomes an essential tool for day-to-day accounting operations. I would highly recommend it to organizations looking for a robust and scalable accounting solution.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a powerful and reliable accounting platform. Its reporting capabilities are excellent, allowing for detailed, customizable financial reports that support better decision-making. The system is user-friendly once implemented, and the cloud-based access makes it easy to work from anywhere. I also appreciate the strong audit trails and controls, which are critical for maintaining accuracy and compliance. Overall, it streamlines processes like invoicing, general ledger management, and financial analysis very effectively

Cons

The initial setup and implementation can be time-consuming and may require outside support, especially for more complex organizations. Some modules and features can feel less intuitive at first, and occasional system glitches or delays can occur. Additionally, certain customizations and integrations may require technical expertise or additional cost.

Main reasons: Scalability: QuickBooks works for simple needs, but struggles with multiple entities or growth Advanced reporting: Sage Intacct offers real-time, customizable financial insights Automation: Reduces manual work and errors (less reliance on spreadsheets) Multi-entity management: Handles multiple locations or companies much more efficiently Better visibility: Provides a full, consolidated view of financial data for decision-making In short: We switched because QuickBooks became too limited, and Sage Intacct provides the automation, reporting, and scalability needed to support growth.

We have continued to lean on the professional services of Sage Intacct and the customer support with \[sensitive content hidden\] and have been extremely pleased. I have referred numerous colleagues to Sage.

Pros

The product itself is robust, able to build high level outputs/reporting/Dashboards as well as granular level down to account/cost center. Also dimension functionality and customer support with \[sensitive content hidden\] is outstanding and a reason we remain with Sage.

Cons

Fixed Asset module is limited and clunky. The Fixed Asset reporting availability and export feature from screen or module to excel is limited.

### "Sage Review"

May 1, 2026

3.0

Generally poor. The implementation of our the contract billing system a few years ago was sub-par. The implementation team was unprepared for the project and it took substantially longer than it should have. Our contract renewal last year was mis managed by our account manager who regularly ignored our requests for a renewal quote and waited until we were close the renewal date before providing a quote. The price increase upon renewal represented an unreasonable increase in cost - way higher than the rate of inflation. The Sage team could not provide an adequate reason for the increase and generally seemed disinterested in helping us - I presume because we were not a net new account. We feel like we are not a valued customer even though we have been using the system for almost 6 years now and have increased our volumes substantially. Longer term we will be looking for opportunities to transition away from Sage due to the unreasonable price increases and poor treatment.

Pros

Online access. Ease of use. Invoicing.

Cons

The $ that is charged for integrations with 3rd party software platforms. We feel as though we are being taking advantage of when we are adding 3rd party systems like Avalara and potentially Snowflake to the integration - Sage benefits when we add these features as it helps improve retention rates - yet the API fees penalize our business as we grow.

### "A Robust Financial Engine That Demands Understanding, Not Simplicity"

May 4, 2026

5.0

Sage Intacct feels like transitioning from basic accounting to a comprehensive finance platform. It is designed for companies that require structure, internal controls, and visibility—not just for bookkeeping.

Pros

Tasks such as revenue recognition, recurring billing, and consolidations can be largely automated, significantly reducing manual work and errors. This is particularly important for companies experiencing growth or dealing with complexity, such as multiple subsidiaries, currencies, or entities.

Cons

The system can overcomplicate routine workflows, especially if you’re not deeply trained. There is a noticeable learning curve. The platform’s core strengths, such as dimensional accounting and advanced reporting, are not very intuitive at first. Teams often require training, and sometimes a dedicated administrator, before they feel comfortable, which can delay time-to-value.

### "A Comprehensive Financial System That Rewards Proper Setup"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Sage Intacct has been positive. It’s a powerful, scalable financial system with strong reporting and dimensional accounting that supports detailed financial analysis and better decision‑making. The automation and controls improve efficiency and accuracy, particularly for month‑end and reporting processes. While there is a learning curve and some reliance on specialist support for advanced configurations, once implemented properly it is a robust solution that works well for growing and complex organisations.

Pros

It allows us to track financial data across departments, projects, and cost centres without creating an overly complex chart of accounts. The dashboards and custom reports provide clear, real-time insights, and the automation of processes like journals and approvals saves significant time compared to manual systems.

Cons

While the system is very powerful, some areas of the interface are not intuitive, and tasks that should be simple can require multiple steps.

Sage Intacct also provided greater automation, stronger controls, and more robust real‑time reporting than the other systems we evaluated, making it a better long‑term fit for our organisation.

### "Pretty Good But Pretty Frustrating"

January 16, 2026

3.0

Overall I'd say that overall it's fine. I do feel like trying to find information in Sage is very frustrating and time consuming. Hopefully as I get more used to the system I'll get more comfortable with how to find data, but for the most part I feel like it is not as intuitive as it could be.

Pros

I like that Sage has good integrations. Additionally the Sage University and amount of available trainings are very helpful.

Cons

I feel like getting data out of Sage can be very difficult and cumbersome. I feel like I'm constantly running reports trying to find what boxes I need to check to get the right data out of the system. For example, I previously worked with Business Central and my main starting point for finding GL data was the Chart of Accounts where I could see balances as of "right now". From there I could click on the balance and drill down into the GL data and filter by dates and date ranges to quickly see what data I was looking at. I could then click on "Find Entries" to drill down even further. In Sage I can't even see what a GL balance is without running a Trial Balance. Additionally, I have to make sure I run the TB for a wide enough date range so that if I have to hunt for a transaction I can make sure its in there, otherwise I'll have to go back and adjust the parameters. Then once the GL data is displayed, I'm not able to sort it in any way (largest to smallest, etc.). The only way to sort the data is by exporting it to excel, sorting it, finding your transactions, then going back into Sage and hunting for it manually again. Additionally, when Sage opens things in a separate "popup" window, it only allows me to have 1 "popup" window open at a time. If I'm looking at a transaction in a popup then I click on something else that requires a popup, the first popup is overridden by the second one. This makes searching for transactions and trying to follow what happened in the system very difficult because I'm not able to view all the info I need to at once. Additionally, it feels like I'm not able to customize reports to provide all the information I need in one place. For example, if I'm trying to understand the value of invoices sent out in a certain date range by location, I can't just run the "AR ledger" report. In order to get the Location ID of my AR data, I have to run an "Invoice Analysis" report, which has multiple lines per invoice (to show the individual line items on every invoice), export that detail, then create a pivot table by location. Maybe this can be solved through a custom report, but those aren't intuitive either. It gets very frustrating when I know the information is in the system but I can't customize the columns in reports to show the date in the most useful way, I have to jump through hoops to get what I need.

### "Sage Intacct"

November 26, 2025

4.0

Sage Intacct is a strong fit for nonprofits that need transparency, compliance, and multi-dimensional financial insight. It provides clear visibility into programs, grants, and funding sources, which helps organizations make data-driven decisions and meet reporting requirements with confidence. While the setup and training require an upfront investment, the long-term benefits—streamlined audits, reduced manual work, and stronger financial oversight—make it a valuable solution for mission-driven organizations looking to scale their impact.

Pros

Accessible from anywhere, with strong role-based permissions and the ability to grow with the organization. Smooth connections with systems like Salesforce, bill-pay platforms, and budgeting tools. Real-time access, clear audit trails, and solid internal controls make audits smoother and reduce manual reconciliations. Customizable dashboards give executives and program managers clear visibility into budgets, spending, and outcomes.

Cons

The system is powerful, but navigation and setup can feel complex for new users. Some advanced reports or workflows require help from consultants or Intacct partners.

### "Would Recommend"

November 5, 2025

5.0

Pros

What I like most about Sage Intacct is how easy it makes complex financial management. The dimensional structure is a game changer — I can slice and filter data by program, department, or fund without creating hundreds of GL accounts. Reports that used to take hours in Excel now take minutes, and they actually stay accurate. The dashboards are clean and customizable, which makes it simple to share real-time numbers with leadership or the board. Automation for things like allocations, recurring entries, and approvals saves a huge amount of time each month. It also integrates smoothly with systems like ADP, which keeps our data consistent across platforms.

Cons

Some of the reporting is way more difficult than I think it needs to be. I wish there were a world that I could just pick what accounts I want listed on a report and not "groups". Certain changes/corrections are impossible to make; you have to reverse everything and start all over.

### "Powerful and Scalable Financial System That Delivers"

March 23, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It provides a strong financial infrastructure with the flexibility and depth needed to support a growing organization. The system has significantly improved our reporting capabilities and internal visibility, which has been valuable for both management and audit purposes. While implementation and onboarding require some upfront effort, the long-term benefits outweigh the initial investment. In terms of value for money, Sage Intacct delivers a high-quality solution that scales well as organizational needs evolve.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a robust and highly scalable financial system that works especially well for multi-entity and nonprofit organizations. The dimensional reporting is a standout feature, allowing for detailed insights across programs, locations, and funding sources without overcomplicating the chart of accounts. Reporting is flexible and audit-friendly, and the system integrates well with other tools. Overall, it provides strong controls and visibility for finance teams.

Not the best system I have worked with. It is too expensive, too cumbersome, and very difficult to modify. You practically need a programmer to make any changes to it.

Pros

Ability to track projects and make changes to journal entries. Journal entries are fairly straight-forward and it is easy to track expenses and revenue for various projects.

Cons

Cost is escalating quickly and far beyond inflation, billing people are not helpful, some simple processes are made very complex in Sage.

### "Overall a Good Product, But Missing Important Features"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, I still prefer QuickBooks, but I do see value that Sage offers that QuickBooks doesn't. If Sage offered the features mentioned above, I would likely prefer it over QB.

Pros

I like the customizability of the software. We're a nonprofit with multiple entities, so it's important that we be able to make the software do what we need it to do.

Cons

There are features I feel are common sense that aren't available, such as the ability to attach documentation to anything, the ability to "next" through credit card transactions, and the ability to reclass credit card transactions post-reconciliation.

### "Made for Accountants"

September 17, 2025

5.0

I really like Sage Intacct. The implementation was pretty easy, the various input screens within the applications are similar, so training is easier, the many dimensions and customization helps us with tracking and reporting.

Pros

I like Intacct’s automations, as they help us keep our accounting team lean and efficient. I like all the dimensions that help us track grants and other funding sources. I have found the system to be very intuitive.

Cons

The cost is a bit prohibitive, but it’s in line with its competitors. The support is sometimes not very responsive.

Reason for choosing Sage Intacct

Ease of use, AICPA endorsement, & that it was designed by accountants

QB was becoming unstable with all the info in it. There was not a good method to track funding in place. We simply outgrew it.

Overall very smooth. Needs work with posting in summary and use of balancing coding with the BS accounts

Pros

Implementation of ai. So far we have been using the ap side and I’m working on using the early adapter program for copilot close

Cons

So far not doing the manual coding correctly, in reference to due to/due from. This process is creating hundreds of account code combinations and making the audit much harder

### "Greatest system but it comes with a high price tag"

January 16, 2026

4.0

I am enjoying Sage Intacct. I would recommend it for everyone who can afford this system. It's such a huge potential.

Pros

Great variety of automation with other marketplace vendors Dashboards are amazing Overall flexibility and ability are my favorites

Cons

Price tag is ridiculously high. Not sure if it's worth the value of the price tag especially for a school and church like us. AP bill automation could use an upgrade. Customer support needs more improvement as well. The annual conference is also expensive, not affordable for non profits.
