### "Complex to Navigate, Impressive Scaling"

May 13, 2026

3.0

Not very easy to use, but the scaling and accuracy is impressive. Not very easy to receive support from . Long waiting times to get answers for questions or help with, for example, importing data, even thorugh very high rates are charged for this support.

Pros

I appreciate 's ability to process large volumes of data, which is crucial as our company grows and our revenue increases. The consistent accuracy in billing our members from around the world is reassuring.

Cons

I find not very user-friendly. It feels like only a Sage expert can use it effectively. For example, using printed document templates for invoices is challenging. You have to find the correct merge field to use in Word documents, and there's no way to see how the invoice will look until you send out a test invoice. The initial setup was also terribly difficult, and we are still struggling with it.

### "Sage Review"

August 29, 2025

5.0

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Sage. It is leading the industry standard and significantly improved the functionality of our finance department.

Pros

Sage is very flexible. I've used Sage in multiple industries, and the flexibility of Sage makes it a good fit across the board.

Cons

While the reporting is quite robust, it is a steep learning curve on building reports. If there was one thing I could change, it would be making a few report builds more accessible to those with limited knowledge and limited needs - while still maintaining the current structure for more complex needs.

I have found Sage to be wonderful. Each Sage representative I have had the opportunity to works with has been very helpful. They go out of their way to give direction or offer suggestions. I recommend to everyone.

Pros

It is easy to navigate and pull/report information I particularly appreciate the ability to use and report on User Defined Dimensions. This has made a significant difference in our abillity to "slice & dice"

Cons

I have only a few things that do not work as I would hope...tho they are so rare that I am unable to identify at this moment.

### "Improve on Customer Service"

August 28, 2025

3.0

The software is easy to use and train our team on. It meets our needs for the trust accounting service line of our firm. The customer service is not so great and if something does not improve on our experience there, we may consider moving to another software. We recently implemented Netsuite in our CPA firm and are very happy with it and the service we are receiving.

Pros

is user friendly and has worked well for our needs. We utilize the software to manage the accounting for approximately 300 health and welfare trusts.

Cons

The customer service can improve. When we were sold the product, one feature that we were looking at is the ability to make ACH payments directly from Sage. After implementation we were told it could only be set up for one bank account. We were very clear during the entire implementation process that we had a few hundred bank accounts. That was disappointing. Second, each year for our renewal we bring the ACH issue up to see if anything has changed and we have asked multiple times about reporting. We run general ledgers for each of the trusts quarterly and have to manually run each report. We want to see if there is a way to batch run and save individual reports. Last year our rep never circled back and this year it is still floating out there. I'm not sure why that request is so difficult to accommodate. Also, I just received our subscription renewal for the upcoming year and the rates increased anywhere from 31% to 44%, this is unacceptable. They threw in a 3 year subscription to lock in rate increases and that was not an option previously. I manage software costs for our CPA firm and have not seen any increase to this magnitude and it is unacceptable. Last, a couple years ago we double paid our annual subscription because we had forgotten it was on auto pay. It is impossible to get someone on the phone to address these types of issues. While it was our error, it took far too long to resolve and have the money returned to us.

Really enjoying it. Learn something new all the time. I have improved our company’s financial reporting dramatically.

Pros

Cons

### "Sage review"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Having as an accounting software has been both difficult and great. Overall, my experience has been a 10 out of 10.

Pros

Allocations have made my job easier over the three years I’ve been using . Also, the prepaid amortization module has saved me time when it comes to accrual entry.

Cons

My least favorite feature is that credit cards are not imported as journal entries from other platforms. It would be easier to use the transaction allocations instead of manually calculating the percentages.

Pros

### "Sage Intacct Empowers Our Finance Team with Clarity and Control"

August 5, 2025

5.0

is a robust, scalable solution that gives our finance team the tools to work smarter and more efficiently. It’s ideal for organizations looking to grow and gain deeper financial visibility.

Pros

has transformed how we manage financial operations. The multi-dimensional general ledger is a standout feature—it allows us to track financials across departments, locations, and projects with ease. The reporting and dashboards are highly customizable and provide real-time insights that support strategic decision-making. Integration with Rippling Payroll and Rippling Spend has streamlined our workflows, especially in payroll and expense management. The cloud-based platform is reliable and accessible, which is a huge plus for remote collaboration.

Cons

The custom report builder has a learning curve and could be more intuitive for non-technical users. Initial setup takes time, but once configured, the system runs smoothly.

Pros

### "Sage Intacct- worth the investment even for small organizations"

July 14, 2025

4.0

System is easy to use, can grow with the entity and offers strong audit controls and backup. Sage University and on-line help supports on-boarding new users with training and screen and field explanations. Reporting, views, and dashboards can be customized to user needs and preferences.

Pros

Fully SQL product customizable to specific environments. Strong quality control with smart events and triggers to support consistency in data entry and outlier transactions that require additional review.

Cons

Some modules were acquired from third parties; the integration and functionality of these modules are somewhat inconsistent with the core modules integration and functionality. Reporting does not allow inclusion of unposted entries to allow users to see effects of entries before posting. The reclassify and delete functions mitigate the reporting issue. Budgeting functionality is basic. Third party solutions required for more complex budgeting and modeling.

### "Good accounting software"

July 8, 2025

Good program, but did not serve our puposed for production and inventory tracking. We were not able to find proper solution.

Pros

User friendly. Easy to learn, systematic. I like the reporting package, and building reports for Dashboards.

Cons

AP Automation, it doesn't work same as other platform. We complaind about it and were received automated response that technical team works on it for sevaral months. We migrated to different ERP before the issue was resolved. We made couple of times costly mistake to assign business licences, for small company these were extream extra costs by mistake and not to be able to negotiate these was a bummer.

### "Solid Core Accounting Software but Lacking In-house Cutting Edge Tech"

July 8, 2025

4.0

Intacct houses our ledger, reporting, AR, project/contract, purchase order, and other accounting processes, but for many of our transaction-bulkier processes (AP & payroll primarily) we use 3rd party applications, some of which (Stampli for AP & bill payment, for example) integrate with Intacct seamlessly, and some of which we import data from via Excel exports (Paylocity for payroll, Center for credit cards). Overall this works well and we like the 3rd party projects we use, but it is unfortunate that Intacct is so inferior in these areas that you have to use 3rd parties if you want to have the latest technology for streamlining these processes. That being said, Intacct does a good job with the core accounting functions of housing the ledger, offering all the modules you might need (even if you have to just import data into them or sync 3rd party applications with them), and providing extensive reporting capabilities and internal controls.

Pros

has a wide range of capabilities and scalability, both in terms of the accounting functions it offers as well as the custom reporting, custom dimensions, etc.

Cons

Intacct itself is technologically behind a lot of specialized software; i.e. for payroll, fixed assets, AP, etc. So although you can get Intacct modules for some of these functions added into your Intacct program, they are not as good as 3rd party applications. Thankfully, there are many that integrate well with Intacct.

### "Sage Intacct Roles and Processes"

July 14, 2025

5.0

I thoroughly enjoy using and still learning the process and have no major complaints. Looking forward to learning more about the reports features.

Pros

was purchased to move our accounting records into a multi-entity software for financial reporting. Strengths: User friendly with easy to use menus, multi currency, both TOP and ENTITY level transactions, and multiple levels of permissions; you can create job roles. Easy integration for payroll purposes (Paylocity). We have not started to use our Fixed Asset Module. Weaknesses: the 'Other Receipts' has no approval process such as Draft to Post

Cons

Software comes with a price. We're spending about $80k and this is for Software in the Cloud -- we don't own it.

Extremely poor

Pros

Full functioning software. Nothing more.

Cons

The selling process and account management. The people that see, manage and handle accounts on a day-to-day basis are not accounting or technical people. But they hold the keys to everything. Cost is becoming unreasonable from initial start of contract. Despite discussions about this, the account manager continues to try and get more money. Despite hours left on contract, I was required to sign a new agreement committing to additional cost. Software is good. The account management and customer experience is terrible for a company below $20M.
