Seems to be a good value for the money and gives us what we need without being overly complicated. Pros It's easy to use and relatively intuitive. Our accounting is simple so we don't use all of the functionality. Cons We haven't been able to get the intercompany interactions to work the way we want. Specifically I want to be able to be able to debit an expense account in another entity directly when entering an invoice and have the corresponding IC entries made automatically. Instead we debit the Due From account on one entity and then have to make a manual entry on the other entity. Review Source DW Denise W. I don't think we are even using it at full capacity as there is so much it can do. Pros Searching for invoices and payments is very easy and quick. The Help & Support section is very useful for understanding how to do something. Cons Some errors cannot be easily reclassified, and a journal entry is required instead in order to correct. Cons There are a few small features not available at this time. But there are always alternative methods to get the results I need. I just would like to learn more about report writing. Pros I like that it’s very user friendly and it has everything my company needs. I like the ability to attach files to every record. Cons I don’t have anything that I don’t like. Pros it gives us a much better way to keep financial information organized and easier to report on. The reporting options are great because they make it easier to look at information by department, location, etc without having to manually piece everything together. Cons It has a lot of features, which is great, but that also means it can feel like a lot when you are new to it. certain tasks take a few extra steps until you get the workflow down. We previously used Sage 50, so moving to a cloud-based system gave us real-time visibility and much better reporting capabilities. After implementing automation, we eliminated a lot of repetitive tasks in AP/AR and month-end, which significantly improved accuracy and turnaround time. The combination of a more modern platform plus automated workflows really streamlined our financial processes. Pros It made accounting reporting feel easy. The visibility and automation were the biggest wins. Importing bank files during bank reconciliation has improved that process significantly. The automation has also been extremely helpful. Cons The only challenge we experienced was around integrations. Sage Intacct doesn’t connect directly to our bank, and syncing with Concur came with added fees. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did add some extra steps. I feel there are too many steps to a lot of the features. Its one odnthe best software out there for Nonprofits. Pros It s functionality and the ability to build custom reports. Sage Intacct has significantly streamlined our accounting operations at Investa Services by automating manual processes, improving accuracy, and providing real-time financial visibility. As a result, our team is able to close books faster, make more informed decisions, and focus more on strategic initiatives rather than routine administrative tasks. Cons The cost but it's worth the investment. I would like to see a mid-market product for smaller organizations. Something that competes with QBO. Cons It is very hard to set up reports. I am not able to select specific dates to run reports. Also, if there is issues or concerns regarding the system, their customer support is usually very helpful. Pros The interface is clean, logical for accountants and easier for finance teams to adopt without a steep learning curve. Love it for its effortless consolidation feature. Cons The per user licensing fee and cost of add on modules (E.g.: Project Accounting, Advanced Inventory) add up quickly. For very small businesses or those with simple, single-entity operations, the price tag may be hard to justify as they wouldn't be leveraging its powerful features. I think it’s one of the better products around and the want for a reliable customer. Service experience is met by Sage. Pros I like the user friendliness of the program. Easy to build a reports and be able to make decisions off of those reports for program staff. Cons I think there was a little turbulence with the integration, but that was more of an external thing however, getting us back on track was very easy with the help of the ticketing system in sage. The reporting is detailed and gives us all the necessary information we need to help give our Managers accurate data fast! Pros Intacct is user friendly and has all the tools to help make the finance team successful. The customer reports help make the financial close a breeze! Cons There is no way to have a invoice posting date be current and the GL date be back dated if we are adding discounts to an invoice. The implementation was pretty easy, the various input screens within the applications are similar, so training is easier, the many dimensions and customization helps us with tracking and reporting. Pros I like Intacct’s automations, as they help us keep our accounting team lean and efficient. I like all the dimensions that help us track grants and other funding sources. I have found the system to be very intuitive. Cons The cost is a bit prohibitive, but it’s in line with its competitors. The support is sometimes not very responsive.
