Pros Easy to use and correct errors if needed. Fairly easy to drill down on specifics transactions. I like that it holds copies of invoices. Cons Sometimes I'm able to reclass transactions but not on everything. Customer services isn't always easy to access. The product is user friendly in terms of financial management. The product has been an effective tool for our company Pros Sage integrates well with our other systems including ServiceTrade. The product is user friendly for our multiple offices. Cons At this point I have no issues to report. Pros It was what our accountants recommended. Pretty reliable once it was setup. The accountant teams were able to get it running quickly. Cons It has had issues since the beginning that were never resolved. It costs a lot and the cost keeps getting higher every year. Review Source CC Cory C. CFO Accounting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Worst Implementation Ever, Cannot Recommend Intaact" January 16, 2026 2.0 The direct sales and implementation process by Sage was not well managed and resulted in a failed implementation where historical data and transactions were not brought from NetSuite to Sage. Pros The current account manager is pleasant and makes a strong effort to try and build the account and is helping some with implementation failures. Cons Very poor implementation, worst of any implementation ever completed of an accounting or ERP system. Sage recommended implementation partner could not bring over GL from NetSuite and did nothing more than basic training. This resulted in a non-functioning system with significant problems that all are pushed to the customer to fix and pay for. Pros Easy to use and a good value for the money. It was easy for us to expand how we wanted to use the software, and they were very prompt with the customer support. Cons We rarely ran into issues with Sage and if we did they were on top of helping us navigate the issue and even would put in a request for updates if needed. The design and layout make navigation seamless. We love the utilization of GL outlier detection, bank match rules, and recurring J/E. Sage integration with RAMP AP is amazing and was such a breath of fresh air that it was so easy to connect. Cons There are not many cons to how we interact with Sage today. Invoicing is made easy and can budget through the bill analysis reports to see what has been paid and allow convenient invoice management. Customer support is friendly and allows for a great value for money. I love it's reliability when it comes to updates. Pros Ease of use of the tool, I am a Finance person and it was super easy for me to learn how to use it and navigate it. The overall look and feel from an ACcounting perspective is great! Cons No add in on Excel to create reports, no drag and drop capabilities to create Ad Hoc reports. Finding what you need can be taxing at times. Pros The fact that it is cloud based and accessible from any location. How intuitive the platform is with items where you would expect them. Finally the way Sage integrates with all the ancillary platforms. Cons The cost, it is very expensive. That said I also understand why, comparatively there are not a lot of platforms that integrate as well and as much as Sage. Being able to customize users and the access to the system. Cons The timing of the system updates-Friday at 7:30 PST is a terrible time why not on a weekend in the middle of the night? I especially liked its cloud access and seamless integrations with tools like salesforce. It's powerful for midsized businesses, though there's a bit of learning curve at first. Cons What I liked least about Sage Intacct was the steep learning curve some features like report customization aren't very intuitive without training. The user interface feels dated compared to modern SaaS platforms. Also, implementation can be complex and time consuming, especially for multi entity setups. We’ve used the AR module, which helps in tracking a lot by asking for payments from our funders. This helps us a lot. Pros Invoicing part: My team and I are using the account receivable module and it makes it easy to track the aging receivable as part of the invoicing process. Cons There are different modules or add ons that I have not been explored, so my least favourite part would be not being to explore all of them while figuring out all the functionalities. Pros What we like most about Sage is the ability to automate a portion of the closing process that used to be very manual. Cons What we like least about Sage is inability to correct invoices in AP or AR after paid and not having automated fund balancing. Alternatives considered [QuickBooks Enterprise](https://www.capterra.com/p/174984/QuickBooks-Enterprise/) Reason for choosing Sage Intacct We were told it would work better for nonprofit but at this point we cannot generate the required restricted reports and our funds do not auto balance. I wish we had gone to Quickbooks.
