### "One Happy Accountant"

March 18, 2026

5.0

I struggled with the concept of dimensions in Sage Intacct during the exploration phase with my integrator. After I came to understand that it was like magic happened. It changed the way I thought about the chart of accounts, transactions, reporting and how streamlined I could make the audit. It has been an amazing journey and I hope to finish my career with Sage Intacct being the last accounting application I ever use! Where was this during the first 25 years of my career?

Pros

The thing that I like most about Sage Intacct is the flexibility to design and tailor dashboards and dashlets to each of our team members with budget responsibility. The ease of use of the drill-down ability enables the non accounting team to view their spend real-time, which enables them to focus on their mission centric tasks and maximize ROI. As a bonus. it enables the accounting team to be hyper efficient and focus efforts on higher level tasks. That makes the investment in dashboards a must have for our organization.

Cons

Honestly, I have been the CFO of my organization for 18 years and have used a wide variety of accounting applications over the course of my 30 year career. I can honestly say, there isn't much that I don't like about Sage Intacct. Maybe I'm fortunate (or just got lucky), but I can't recall experiencing a bug or issue with the product - which is not true for the other applications I have used. Updates are frequent enough, but not too frequent. I have been using Sage Intacct for 4 years and have yet had to log a single support ticket. When I have stumbled onto what could have been bugs or issues, I can usually find the solution/answer in the training materials or help database. Well done Sage team! Well done!

### "Pretty Good But Pretty Frustrating"

January 16, 2026

3.0

Overall I'd say that overall it's fine. I do feel like trying to find information in Sage is very frustrating and time consuming. Hopefully as I get more used to the system I'll get more comfortable with how to find data, but for the most part I feel like it is not as intuitive as it could be.

Pros

I like that Sage has good integrations. Additionally the Sage University and amount of available trainings are very helpful.

Cons

I feel like getting data out of Sage can be very difficult and cumbersome. I feel like I'm constantly running reports trying to find what boxes I need to check to get the right data out of the system. For example, I previously worked with Business Central and my main starting point for finding GL data was the Chart of Accounts where I could see balances as of "right now". From there I could click on the balance and drill down into the GL data and filter by dates and date ranges to quickly see what data I was looking at. I could then click on "Find Entries" to drill down even further. In Sage I can't even see what a GL balance is without running a Trial Balance. Additionally, I have to make sure I run the TB for a wide enough date range so that if I have to hunt for a transaction I can make sure its in there, otherwise I'll have to go back and adjust the parameters. Then once the GL data is displayed, I'm not able to sort it in any way (largest to smallest, etc.). The only way to sort the data is by exporting it to excel, sorting it, finding your transactions, then going back into Sage and hunting for it manually again. Additionally, when Sage opens things in a separate "popup" window, it only allows me to have 1 "popup" window open at a time. If I'm looking at a transaction in a popup then I click on something else that requires a popup, the first popup is overridden by the second one. This makes searching for transactions and trying to follow what happened in the system very difficult because I'm not able to view all the info I need to at once. Additionally, it feels like I'm not able to customize reports to provide all the information I need in one place. For example, if I'm trying to understand the value of invoices sent out in a certain date range by location, I can't just run the "AR ledger" report. In order to get the Location ID of my AR data, I have to run an "Invoice Analysis" report, which has multiple lines per invoice (to show the individual line items on every invoice), export that detail, then create a pivot table by location. Maybe this can be solved through a custom report, but those aren't intuitive either. It gets very frustrating when I know the information is in the system but I can't customize the columns in reports to show the date in the most useful way, I have to jump through hoops to get what I need.

### "Sage Intaact Training and Implementation"

March 13, 2026

3.0

Training was very fast and furious with very little time to try the system before it was on to the next training. I would encourage more in depth training on each piece with time to do on the system before adding another training. Reporting was part of the end of the training and it was a blur by the time I needed it. Training team is very good, just not enough of it.

Pros

East of entry into the system and being able to scan everything in one place. Payment approvals in the system.

Cons

Reporting is limited and hard to manipulate to get what you need. No invoice approvals in the system to assign to users to sign off to keep it paperless.

### "Customizable with Integrity"

March 23, 2026

4.0

My overall experience has been very good. Sage is very customizable to our needs and allows us flexibility while maintaining accounting integrity.

Pros

The flexibility of the dimensions. It allowed us to report from various angles which helps with efficient decision making.

Cons

I wish there were more canned reports that can be edited. Many reports have had to be built from scratch which can be time consuming and a lot of trial and error.

### "Sage review"

November 30, 2025

4.0

Sage has some limitations one is closing a project but can still see it in a dashboard and some features we didn't have previously which is nice like federal invoicing.

Pros

I like the online access so IT isn't having to help. There are some functions in invoicing that I didn't have before but there are also some negatives. Sage is basically easy to use. Processing AP payments is easy.

Cons

Sage doesn't have some things and you can't just sync it to a database to get information out of it without another subscription so value for the money is not great. It seems like bugs come on just before an update is going to happen which seems weird. Customer support is ok but could always be better.

### "Sage Intacct"

November 26, 2025

4.0

Sage Intacct is a strong fit for nonprofits that need transparency, compliance, and multi-dimensional financial insight. It provides clear visibility into programs, grants, and funding sources, which helps organizations make data-driven decisions and meet reporting requirements with confidence. While the setup and training require an upfront investment, the long-term benefits—streamlined audits, reduced manual work, and stronger financial oversight—make it a valuable solution for mission-driven organizations looking to scale their impact.

Pros

Accessible from anywhere, with strong role-based permissions and the ability to grow with the organization. Smooth connections with systems like Salesforce, bill-pay platforms, and budgeting tools. Real-time access, clear audit trails, and solid internal controls make audits smoother and reduce manual reconciliations. Customizable dashboards give executives and program managers clear visibility into budgets, spending, and outcomes.

Cons

The system is powerful, but navigation and setup can feel complex for new users. Some advanced reports or workflows require help from consultants or Intacct partners.

5.0

I really like Sage Intacct. The implementation was pretty easy, the various input screens within the applications are similar, so training is easier, the many dimensions and customization helps us with tracking and reporting.

Pros

I like Intacct’s automations, as they help us keep our accounting team lean and efficient. I like all the dimensions that help us track grants and other funding sources. I have found the system to be very intuitive.

Cons

The cost is a bit prohibitive, but it’s in line with its competitors. The support is sometimes not very responsive.

### "Improve on Customer Service"

August 28, 2025

3.0

The software is easy to use and train our team on. It meets our needs for the trust accounting service line of our firm. The customer service is not so great and if something does not improve on our experience there, we may consider moving to another software. We recently implemented Netsuite in our CPA firm and are very happy with it and the service we are receiving.

Pros

Sage Intacct is user friendly and has worked well for our needs. We utilize the software to manage the accounting for approximately 300 health and welfare trusts.

Cons

The customer service can improve. When we were sold the product, one feature that we were looking at is the ability to make ACH payments directly from Sage. After implementation we were told it could only be set up for one bank account. We were very clear during the entire implementation process that we had a few hundred bank accounts. That was disappointing. Second, each year for our renewal we bring the ACH issue up to see if anything has changed and we have asked multiple times about reporting. We run general ledgers for each of the trusts quarterly and have to manually run each report. We want to see if there is a way to batch run and save individual reports. Last year our rep never circled back and this year it is still floating out there. I'm not sure why that request is so difficult to accommodate. Also, I just received our subscription renewal for the upcoming year and the rates increased anywhere from 31% to 44%, this is unacceptable. They threw in a 3 year subscription to lock in rate increases and that was not an option previously. I manage software costs for our CPA firm and have not seen any increase to this magnitude and it is unacceptable. Last, a couple years ago we double paid our annual subscription because we had forgotten it was on auto pay. It is impossible to get someone on the phone to address these types of issues. While it was our error, it took far too long to resolve and have the money returned to us.

### "Sage Review"

August 29, 2025

5.0

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Sage. It is leading the industry standard and significantly improved the functionality of our finance department.

Pros

Sage is very flexible. I've used Sage in multiple industries, and the flexibility of Sage makes it a good fit across the board.

Cons

While the reporting is quite robust, it is a steep learning curve on building reports. If there was one thing I could change, it would be making a few report builds more accessible to those with limited knowledge and limited needs - while still maintaining the current structure for more complex needs.

### "Intacct Review"

November 24, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with Sage Intacct has been excellent. We previously used Sage 50, so moving to a cloud-based system gave us real-time visibility and much better reporting capabilities. After implementing automation, we eliminated a lot of repetitive tasks in AP/AR and month-end, which significantly improved accuracy and turnaround time. The combination of a more modern platform plus automated workflows really streamlined our financial processes.

Pros

It made accounting reporting feel easy. The visibility and automation were the biggest wins. Importing bank files during bank reconciliation has improved that process significantly. The automation has also been extremely helpful.

Cons

The only challenge we experienced was around integrations. Sage Intacct doesn’t connect directly to our bank, and syncing with Concur came with added fees. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did add some extra steps.

### "Great Accounting Software - I would highly recommend!!!"

August 5, 2025

5.0

Overall I have enjoyed using Sage Intacct and would recommend this software to any mid-size business. The ability to use customized fields, dimensions, reports, etc. makes it far superior to other accounting software.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a great accounting system that is very customizable. It is not as easy to use as a software like QuickBooks Online, but is much more customizable and has greater controls. You can easily create recurring transactions such as journal entries, bills, and invoices for automation. The import function for journal entries has been heavily used in our month end close process which has sped up reconciliations.

Cons

Biggest complaints my staff have had with using Sage Intacct is that it isn't as easy to delete or correct mistakes like in QuickBooks Online. However, I believe this is a benefit as it provides a better audit trail. It also helps my staff to be more diligent in inputting information correctly the first time thus cutting down on mistakes. Sometimes it also takes a few clicks to get from the general ledger down to the transaction you are looking for.

### "Sage Intacct Empowers Our Finance Team with Clarity and Control"

August 5, 2025

5.0

Sage Intacct is a robust, scalable solution that gives our finance team the tools to work smarter and more efficiently. It’s ideal for organizations looking to grow and gain deeper financial visibility.

Pros

Sage Intacct has transformed how we manage financial operations. The multi-dimensional general ledger is a standout feature—it allows us to track financials across departments, locations, and projects with ease. The reporting and dashboards are highly customizable and provide real-time insights that support strategic decision-making. Integration with Rippling Payroll and Rippling Spend has streamlined our workflows, especially in payroll and expense management. The cloud-based platform is reliable and accessible, which is a huge plus for remote collaboration.

Cons

The custom report builder has a learning curve and could be more intuitive for non-technical users. Initial setup takes time, but once configured, the system runs smoothly.

### "Sage Intacct Roles and Processes"

July 14, 2025

5.0

I thoroughly enjoy using Sage Intacct and still learning the process and have no major complaints. Looking forward to learning more about the reports features.

Pros

Sage Intacct was purchased to move our accounting records into a multi-entity software for financial reporting. Strengths: User friendly with easy to use menus, multi currency, both TOP and ENTITY level transactions, and multiple levels of permissions; you can create job roles. Easy integration for payroll purposes (Paylocity). We have not started to use our Fixed Asset Module. Weaknesses: the 'Other Receipts' has no approval process such as Draft to Post

Cons

We went live Feb 2024, and have had a very good experience with it. The kickoff was on time and done well with the team that we used. I look forward to using Sage until I get to the age of retirement, which is nowhere in sight!

Pros

Once you get into the system, it is very manageable and easy to manipulate for your needs. It has a ton of reports that you can customize yourself, with no assistance needed from the Sage support team. It's easy to add items and projects as needed.

Cons

Good program, but did not serve our puposed for production and inventory tracking. We were not able to find proper solution.

Pros

User friendly. Easy to learn, systematic. I like the reporting package, and building reports for Dashboards.

Cons

### "Biggest and Best Bang for the Buck"

July 14, 2025

5.0

I have used Sage and it's predecessors professionally and personally for over 40 years. It is affordable, relatively easy to use once you understand it and it's got a lot of options as to size, cost and accessibility for a variety of applications.

Pros

I like the audit trail. One of the negative comments was that "You can't go back and change the numbers." GOOD. As a professional Accountant and Tax representative, being able to just change the numbers without a proper journal entry reversing the error and putting it in correctly causes significant transactional tracking problems. I use and recommend Sage products for my clients and that detailed audit trail is critical in locating and correcting problems and explaining things during an audit. NEVER change that!

Cons

I don't like that your sales department doesn't fully understand the product nor do they know anything about bookkeeping. So I can't just send my clients directly to you. I have to call, find out which product is best and then have my client buy it. I have one client that spent $60k on a software she didn't need because a Sage representative told her your software couldn't do what she needed when I know for a fact that it CAN! Your salesperson simply didn't understand the full capabilities of the software and how to use it. That's not good.

It has been a long trying process to get everything working correctly. Our manager suggests spending more money to get consulting hours without the promis it will work as expected. We even asked for a demo to confirm it would work without any success.

Pros

Once you train yourself on how to use it, It isn't difficult to use when things are set up correctly.

Cons

The set up not complete by consultant and now trying to get it done by myself to not spend more money which is ridiculous for how much we spent

Reason for choosing Sage Intacct

Price was the main factor, but we are regretting that decision now.

Response from Sage

September 22, 2025

Hi, Cortney. Thanks for taking the time to review Sage Intacct. This is definitely not the experience we want customers to have. Do you have access to the Intacct Community for crowdsourcing solutions? And access to the training library and Sage U? Please let me know what you're trying to accomplish, and I'll try to find some resources for you.

### "Very effective and useful accounting tool for all types of users"

September 10, 2025

5.0

Very user friendly and user can use this with minimal accounting knowledge. "Help on this Page" is great helping hand.

Pros

Flexible, ease of use, meaning and useful updates. Robust multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation Real-time dashboards and reporting Strong general ledger flexibility

Cons

Fixed Asset Module is not effective. It takes too much time to download the report. No easy option if records are more than 20k for depreciation schedules

mostly good, would like more support specific to our set up, have had trouble with the SIP budgeting add on

Pros

ease of invoice input and reporting capabilities, like the ability to recreate a transaction and make updates

Cons

cost and flexibility in set up, as a non profit i feel like we had to fit a square peg in a round hole and it feels clunky

### "Good start but a lot more needed"

January 16, 2026

4.0

While we have a good standard Sage solution, with the guidance we needed or paid for, we made some bad implementation choices/settings. We now need more standard processes, people and controls to ensure that data is entered consistently across or 80 business units.

Pros

Accounting - it has allowed us to create a professional and standard accounting platform across the diocese

Cons

Bugs and Issues - my background is IT and I am shocked at the number of bugs and issues we continue to face.

### "My First Favorite AP System!"

Every method of Sage Intacct customer support I have used has always resolved any issues thoroughly. Our additional support package is amazing.

Pros

I use Intacct daily and find the platforms very intuitive to navigate and use. I enjoy learning new features as they are added to keep up with current tools for success!

Cons

There are a few small features not available at this time. But there are always alternative methods to get the results I need.

### "Great Product and interface with ServiceTitan "

March 13, 2026

5.0

Pros

It is the most robust system that interfaces with ServiceTitan. We are able to feel confident of a controlled environment.

Cons

The fixed asset module is cumbersome versus what I would expect. We have never successfully implemented it for tax depreciation and still do that on a spreadsheet.
