Overall, my experience with Wrike has been very positive. The platform has significantly improved project visibility, communication, and accountability across teams by providing a centralized location for tasks, schedules, documents, and status updates. Features such as customizable dashboards, automated workflows, and Gantt charts make it easy to monitor project progress and identify potential delays before they become larger issues. For example, project managers can quickly see overdue tasks, resource workloads, and upcoming milestones without having to compile information from multiple sources. Wrike has also improved collaboration by allowing team members to assign tasks, share files, track discussions, and receive notifications within the same workspace. This helps reduce reliance on lengthy email chains and ensures that project information remains organized and accessible. While there is a learning curve associated with some of the more advanced customization and reporting features, the benefits of increased transparency, streamlined processes, and improved project control have made Wrike a valuable tool for managing both routine work and complex projects. Overall, I would recommend Wrike to organizations looking for a flexible and feature-rich project management solution.

Pros

Wrike excels at providing clear visibility across projects, tasks, and team workloads. Features such as customizable dashboards, Gantt charts, and automated workflows make it easy to track progress and keep projects moving forward. The ability to assign tasks, set dependencies, attach files, and maintain discussions directly within each task helps reduce email clutter and keeps all project information in one place. We have found the reporting tools particularly useful for monitoring deadlines, identifying bottlenecks, and giving stakeholders real-time updates on project status. Once configured, Wrike becomes a highly effective platform for improving collaboration, accountability, and overall project organization.

Cons

While Wrike is a powerful project management platform, some features can be confusing and require a significant learning curve for new users. The hierarchy between Spaces, Folders, Projects, and Tasks is not always intuitive, making it easy to lose track of where information is stored. Custom workflows and request forms are highly flexible, but setting them up correctly can be challenging without prior experience. Reporting and dashboard customization can also feel overwhelming due to the number of available options, and users may need to navigate through multiple menus to find specific settings or project views. Although these features provide tremendous flexibility, they can make the platform feel overly complex for teams that only need straightforward task and project tracking.

Switched from

[monday.com AI Work Platform](https://www.capterra.com/p/147657/monday-com/)

It was too generic and allowed very little customization. Also, it had a small company feel.

Wrike is a powerful, highly scalable solution for mid-sized to enterprise teams handling multi-faceted projects. While smaller teams looking for lightweight task tracking might find it over-engineered, organizations needing deep visibility, clear dependency tracking, and cross-departmental alignment will get immense value out of it once past the initial setup phase.

Pros

Customizable Workflows and Views: Wrike excels at adaptability. Being able to toggle seamlessly between Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and custom table views allows different team members to visualize work in the way that makes the most sense for them.

Cons

Mobile App Limitations: While functional for quick updates, the mobile app lacks the full depth and ease of navigation found on the desktop/web version for heavy task management. As well as Default notification settings can quickly flood your inbox; you’ll need to spend time configuring notification preferences early on to avoid alert overload.

Wrike prevents me from losing track of patient follow up communications in my email inbox and social media plans. I can assign deadlines to tasks and then see those deadlines reflected on the calendar and hence reminding me when they are due and it also generally keeps my disorganized brain somewhat organized.

Pros

I am very tired after finishing a long shift. My space bar is sticking so I’m having trouble typing this. Wrike allows me to view all my tasks and plan out content for an entire day at once, therefore I don’t have to keep multiple windows open. The layout of wrike can be changed to either look like a calendar or a list and will not break anything. I am grateful that I no longer have to use a spreadsheet.

Cons

When there are many sub-tasks open, wrike becomes cluttered and slow to load. Wrike does not allow you to simply drag and drop a task onto the calendar; rather, you have to go into "edit" mode to move the task up or down on the calendar. The mobile version of wrike has little functionality as well, unless you want to waste time trying to get some work done with it.

Perfect for complicated project management but it works well only for the PMs while the rest people within the company struggle to use it/ keep up

Cons

We get quite some complaints from the peripheral teams that it’s hard to use and keep up with. There is some kind of debate about its value since half the employees don’t want it..

It prevents back and forth email exchanges when a project changes. Instead, whoever needs to inform the group simply updates the post with the new file and provides an explanation as to why. And now new hires can simply look at the previous post history to determine the context of the project rather than having to ask me everytime. And also it essentially just makes sure nothing gets lost in translation.

Pros

I think Wrike is good for organizing our projects and giving them a central location and also most of our clients learn how to use it very quickly which helps prevent me from having to explain how to use it over and over again. And we don't have to spend hours digging through dashboard after dashboard to locate files and also the to do lists are simple and easy to follow.

Cons

The last software update was horrible. They removed Admin control options for Notifications. Now each member of our staff has to create their own notification alerts for each project individually; it's been a huge headache. Support has told us that "that's just how it is now" and I also dislike the fact that they moved the Templates down into Search Bar areas.

Wrike is an excellent platform keeping us on track with having important client deliverables. It will take you some time to get 100% comfortable with all the different features, but it's worth it for the structure that it adds to our workflows. The support team has been prompt in answering any of our queries as users and is an overall useful addition to our agency's toolbox.

Pros

It's really helpful having Wrike to manage our client campaigns. I like the ability to create multiple smaller tasks and work with deadlines for each team member. The timeline view is particularly useful if you're coordinating multiple projects, for instance. It's great to have everything in one spot, rather than hundreds of email chains that we have to go through, and also being able to send clients specific updates.

Cons

Occasionally, such as notifications not syncing correctly, there have been glitches when using the mobile app. Plus, the tool itself can be quite overwhelming, especially when you're setting it up for the first time, it does have a learning curve. Some of the more advanced features seem superfluous for our small team, but still have to get through them, and it can be time consuming.

Pros

Wrike is a solid project management tool I use for managing video production workflow, including brainstorming, writing, filming, and editing. Overall, it's intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

Wrike doesn't offer the best UX across the platform and I prefer using tools like Notion for other project management

Pricing was the biggest factor for making the switch

The experience overall for myself on Wrike has been really great. I use it for task coordination with product engineering feature developemnet, organize the product road map and with many other people. All of the tasks and timelines and updates with the product development on one platform simplifies me managing the whole process.

Pros

Wrike provides fantastic workflow customization, clear dashboard visibility, and strong reporting capabilities-enabling us to see where features are developing, and what's most important. Their collaborative features are fantastic for directly linking conversations and activity back to the right tasks. Wrike's other productivity tool integrations keep our product development moving.

Cons

Initial setup for this platform is a time-consuming process, and users need adequate training to maximize its functionality. The interface can get cluttered, and several customization options, and advanced reporting features are only available on premium plans.
