My overall experience with Wrike was positive, especially for managing complex, cross‑functional work. It’s a very capable platform once it’s set up well. The ability to customize workflows, views, and automation made it much easier to align teams around shared processes while still supporting different working styles. Collaboration improved because conversations, files, and approvals lived alongside the work instead of being scattered across email and chat. The trade‑off is that you do need clear ownership and governance; without that, things can become messy or confusing over time. With strong admin practices, though, Wrike is a powerful backbone for project and portfolio management.

Pros

What I liked most about Wrike was how it combined flexibility with structure. The platform makes it easy to manage complex, cross‑functional projects while still giving teams freedom to work in the way that suits them best. Customizable workflows, dashboards, and automation help keep everyone aligned without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. Real‑time visibility into tasks, dependencies, and workloads improves accountability and makes it much easier to spot issues early. I also appreciated the strong collaboration features—comments, proofing, and approvals all in one place—which significantly reduced back‑and‑forth emails and helped decisions move faster.

Cons

What I liked least about Wrike was the learning curve and occasional complexity as usage scaled. For new or non‑technical users, the sheer number of features, views, and configuration options can feel overwhelming and require meaningful onboarding time. As workspaces grow, it’s easy for structures, custom fields, and workflows to become inconsistent if there isn’t strong admin governance and clear standards. The interface, while powerful, can feel cluttered when many projects and automations are in play, and performance can sometimes lag with very large data sets. Reporting is solid but can require effort to tailor exactly to leadership’s needs.

My overall experience has been very positive. I feel as though our company is getting its value for its money with this platform.

Pros

I think Wrike is very simple to use and an easy platform to navigate. It helps me manage my weekly workflow simply with the to-do list tab. My favorite aspect is the colorful status tabs.

Cons

Sometimes it is challenging to retroactively find a task that has been put on hold, canceled or completed.

I've really enjoyed working with Wrike. My company has a monthly meeting setup so that we can connect with Wrike staff to make updates to our agreement or get assistance with any bugs or issues we've experienced in our user base. As long as you have admins for implementation and champions to train your team, you'll find that Wrike is worth every penny.

Pros

Wrike offers custom item types, workflows, views, filters, and dashboards, along with excellent support from their team. Every feature is thoughtfully designed so the platform can be tailored to any person, team, or company. They're also open to regular meetings to discuss updates to the customer agreement and have consistently been responsive.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike about Wrike, but if I had to pick something, it would be that projects and tasks display differently depending on how you navigate to them. I've also found that most of our people need some training or handholding if they haven't used a project management system like this before.

Overall, I'm very happy with Wrike. I'd say it is the best project management tool that I've worked in. I really like the communication capabilities, and how I can easily assign and tag people into a project. I also like the dashboard features, and that it keeps me on track with my assignments and deadlines.

Pros

I like the organization capabilities, specifically the folders and subfolders on the left. This makes it easy to categorize the various jobs that I work on.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to find a task within a large job, especially when there are so many moving parts. Sometimes the search tool can be a little difficult to find past projects and files.

Overall I have a really great experience with Wrike!! It would be helpful to have some AI assistance such as integrations with Tasks or AI assist to add into a Teams call to be able to autogenerate notes in the tasks

I am able to track all of my projects, find everything easily and a great workflow for managing all of my tasks!

Ever since removing List View, my Wrike load time is consistently bogged down and it takes time for folders/projects to load when reviewing tasks

I am our company's Wrike owner. I have built out several spaces with bespoke workflows and automations for our marketing team to cover a wide range of both day to day and long term projects.

Pros

I have found it fairly easy to use to build workflows and automations. Per my team, it seems pretty intuitive for users .

Cons

There are limitations to automations and workflows that aren't always clear. You have to really dig to find out why something isn't working as expected. Projects and Tasks don't always work together as well as I'd like them to.

My overall experience with Wrike has been mainly positive! I love the customization and ability for teams to work collaboratively across different spaces. We have had a lot of turnover with our account reps and customer success people that makes it difficult at times to find answers. When you have the same group of people working with you and understand how your space is used it's a lot easier on the customer to want to continue to use the product and find the support we need.

Pros

I like the customization opportunities the most. I am able to have multiple teams with different needs under one roof but they are all able to make specific requests for their space and Wrike is able to accommodate all these needs. Tracking tasks is also equally helpful and I have found the automation features help streamline all the different tasks we have at once.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Wrike would be the lack of function mobile apps/views. I find that there are lots of bugs and it doesn't work the same way it does on desktop. For a team on the go a lot it is helpful to have a system that can accommodate mobile view.
