March 29, 2017 4.0 We're a small team of about 15 employees and were originally hesitant to bring on a project management software since email seemed to be working alright for our needs but after realizing things were getting lost in the shuffle, we decided to try Wrike out. I'm so glad we did. We've been using them for about three years and it's really helped us move forward in project planning and scoping. Right off the bat, Wrike held a training for our company. They did an in-depth training for those of us who were looking to learn the application inside/out and an overall training for the rest of the team. Sure, lots of people do training but then they followed up about 30 days later to uncover what we felt was lacking. From there they did a second training where they helped us customize our work space. I thought that was a really nice touch. Currently we use Wrike to manage internal and external team hours, create project scoping timelines, uncover potential roadblocks and to get everyone on the same page about changes/updates/etc. It's a great tool. One of my favorite features is that you can print individualized reports for a person or print out the total hours by project. I'd love for Wrike to add more color and font customization options just because it's hard to see changes sometimes in the comment boxes. I'd also like to see more customization options for the interface for individual users. Overall, I'd recommend Wrike if you're looking to grow your business efficiency. Pros Multiple chart options for displaying timelines Easy comment buttons (can just reply to an email and everything is captured) Ability to create custom folders and other set up features Can grab a visual of a project in under 30 seconds Customized reporting options Cons If you don't do the training up front or keep up with updates you can easily get lost. Pros Wrike has served for me as one of the leading tool to assist me in my most of the projects and assigned tasks. It has the most efficient tools and features which allows me to track the overall progress of the projects. I can easily schedule the tasks and even collaborate with the other employees on certain tasks. This allows me to stay organized and be more productive in my field work. Cons Although, Wrike has all the necessary tools and features to easily help me in my working projects. But i have slightly faced few issues while using it. Like for some long term projects, the tracking ability slows down and I lose the whole interest in that. Wrike plays its part at every step but due to some connectivity issues, I also lose the collaboration spirit with my team members. Cons Wrike's limited reporting features, high pricing, and complex setup were some of the areas that I found lacking. This product keeps us on track and accountable to each other, as well as the people requesting the tasks and projects. We're able to stay organized which has been a game changer. Pros The product is pretty easy to use, but harder to implement and get the buy- in from some people. That has nothing to do with Wrike- but more so people who may be set in their ways. I appreciate the reports you're able to run to check in on different projects and tasks- this feature helps me keep our team on track and accountable. Cons I wish there were a way to edit time when you're adding time to a project; or at least go in and see exactly what time you've spent. There may be a way, but I've yet to find it. It comes in handy when you're trying to juggle several different projects at once. Gantt charts are simple to create and establish milestones with corresponding reminders. Pros In order to collaborate on a project with several individuals, Wrike is an excellent tool. An excellent tool for keeping track of project phases and milestones, thanks to its well-designed visuals. It's useful for campaigns that affect a wide range of people from different departments. However, I do believe that the functionality may be improved. Cons I had a lot of difficulty using the search feature of the application. Project layout was also a little perplexing to me. And in my recent visit, I didnt use it to a point where I can provide a thorough feedback. But comparing the past against the current iteration, the developers did a tremendous job of upgrading their tool. I can honestly say, this level of commitment is rare in the software business and many companies without this has already gone under. Pretty much everywhere we work, we see Asana is a tool of choice, but I am giving Wrike serious consideration. Pros The sheer number of features and UI/UX development they introduced is staggering. I am really liking the new and fresh feel of the tool. Cons When I was using the tool, a long, long time ago, it was really ugly. It pained me to use it. The tasks and items were not intuitive and I tried to use it as little as possible. BUT, this is not the case anymore. Quand j'ai voulu prendre un abonnement payant pour une équipe de 5 personnes et moins, j'ai contacté le service à la clientèle de Wrike, puisque ça ne peut pas se faire automatiquement en ligne. Je les ai relancés à plusieurs reprises pendant trois semaines, sans succès. Quel genre d'entreprise fait en sorte qu'on doive lui courir après pour acheter un de ses services? C'est le pire service à la clientèle. Je suis obligée de migrer tout mon flow de travail vers une autre plateforme, et je ne vous recommande pas Wrike si vous êtes une petite équipe. Apparemment, seuls les gros comptes ayant leur gestionnaire attitrés, ont accès à leur service à la clientèle. Bizarre, puisque l'option "équipe de 5 personnes et moins" est nouvelle. If you are looking for a simple task management tool, maybe Wrike won't be the first choice but, when it comes for complex projects, Wrike has features that allow you to control every aspects of your project and the work of your team. You won't be able to work without it anymore. Cons Wrike allows you to manage projects, subprojects, folders and several other structural things. Cons I wish I could assign one task to multiple people and they could have different timelines (Ex: 1 person could have the task as new, while another in progress, another completed). Sometimes a task is done by multiple people, but they will complete at different times. Some tutorials can be difficult to understand. Ex: I want to duplicate all tasks from a folder to the following year, but I'm not certain the due dates will translate to the next year. Being able to shift due dates based on a new timeline would also be helpful. Ex: if a task was from April - June last year, but would be March - May this year, the due dates could shift. Once set up, a full view of projects is available. The foldering, project and task views all make sense for project management, and the request forms are nice and customizable Cons Unable to customize custom objects per task type - custom objects have to go on all or noneI would like more logic abilities behind automation assignments and status assignmentsNo templates - all custom build. I don't know how we managed. It makes working as a team so much easier, and we can use the data to make better staffing and client decisions. November 20, 2018 4.0 My overall experience with Wrike was good! I appreciated that the project data could be show in a number of views e.g. lists, boards, tables, timelines, that way it could be tailored to the users preference. Some people visualize and process data differently, so having the option was nice! Pros A lot of project management software is alike. I think the two things that I appreciated most about Wrike is that ability to add dependencies to projects/tasks/substasks and the analytics dashboard. The dependencies are nice because if something in your project changes (which happens literally all the time), the plan will adjust accordingly, instead of having to spend time shifting tasks around manually. The analytics were nice because it helped us measure productivity and helped us make informed decisions when it came to resource planning. Cons This probably less of a software issue and more of an internal set up issue, but I would advise anyone planning on using this system to be thoughtful about how s/he sets up folders and users; I recommend designing nomenclature that makes sense for your team/company.
