Pros I highly recommend Wrike, which offers us a very interesting user interface and a lot of other features. It can organize tasks, schedules, discussions and company files all in one shared place. It can also sync employees, and can even get clients involved. There are 3 main components to this app which consist of projects, folders and tasks. And while the benefits of this app far outweigh the negative, my biggest issue with Wrike has been that the setup seems a bit confusing to me, and outside of the Wrike webinar that I took, there are no tutorials available online to walk potential users through in order to make usage of the app more efficient. Pros The creation of projects with the ability to assign subtasks and dependencies is a really great feature. I also really like the "timeline view" which enables users to see the progression of a project, including all of the dependencies, so that if something is delayed in the process of a project, we are able to project how much time it will take us to complete the entire project now with these varying components and the change of events / due dates. Cons It does not have a shared calendar for employees to view a daily, monthly or yearly tasks divvied up, and there are no tutorials available online to teach users how to use the app. I also feel like I could be doing so much more with the app than I am currently aware of. But I am finding difficulty in navigating through it without any sense of direction. This is especially a little frustrating for people who are new to project management, and really have no idea where to begin, or even how to divvy up the tasks in a comprehensive manner for all of our current employees. It would help to have tutorials, offer one-on-one sessions, or even just to have little pop-ups that explain the app as you go, with helpful hints and tips. Review Source MC Marcela C. The dashboards are customizable and easy to understand. I like being able to setup project folders to easily view tasks in one place. " April 10, 2019 4.0 Overall, our experience is been great due to Wrike's excellent customer support. Pros Wrike helps us in managing hundreds of task and projects. We use it to assign tasks to our teams. What I like most about Wrike is being able to add notes in live time during a meeting. This feature is very resourceful, everyone can pitch in their ideas and by the end of the meeting we assign tasks to each other according to our mutual findings. Another great feature is it email integration, we don't have to open the app to respond to a notification, we can respond directly from email. Cons Wrike works great and but i don't consider it prefect due to one missing feature. Spell Check in the comments section. This feature is equally important but unfortunatly Wrike does not have it. January 26, 2019 5.0 Pros Wrike has helped in collaborating with my teams by using spreadsheets, chats, emails and even catching up with the updates of each team in real time. It is perfect for teams with more than twenty people. In just half a minute, you would get a glance at the overall status of a project. The application provides a lot of personalizations, be it in reporting or in the creation of folders. You can use any method to project, kanban, scrum or waterfall. If we need any new features or improvements, we can write them down and they would be responding very soon! If you don’t like any particular feature you can turn them off by using Wrike labs. Cons Wrike doesn't provide a desktop version for the client. You need to train the team members and staffs to use this application, and it takes some time to get used to this application. For the price, we'd expect improvements (it's steep). They will cut off you subscription without warning if your credit card expires... The support isn't even apologetic about it, a simple email saying your card is about to expire would be nice (every other subscription based software we use do this). Pros It does it all, Kanban boards, timesheets, Gantt chart, there are a lot of features. Some users may find this a bit disturbing at first but will get used to it. Cons The app is unreliable (Mac version, although it seems to be built with electron so they are probably all the same), tasks are supposed to update real time, but on the Kanban style board it doesn't most of the time. It does it all which means it looks really complicated to some user. It could do with a bit of simplifying, some features seems a bit redundant. Review Source RM Resa M. It has made managing projects much easier and more efficient for me. The user interface is easy to use, and the real-time tracking and notifications are great for staying on top of deadlines. I have experienced a few glitches and the search feature could be improved, but overall, Wrike is an excellent project management tool. Pros Wrike is an amazing project management tool that has helped me to be more organized and productive. I love that I can set up tasks, assign them to team members, and track progress in real time. It's great that I can also set due dates and reminders which helps me stay on top of deadlines. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it a great tool for both new and experienced users. Cons While Wrike is a great project management tool, I do find that it can be slow to load at times and is sometimes prone to glitches. Pros I like the review/approval module; the multiple available views for a task/project; the ease of duplicating existing projects for similar events/campaigns Cons There seem to be bugs in the approval feature, as the Wrike Bot often wrongly "rejects" a file that the approver approved. Also, I often get email notifications of activity two days after the activity occurs in Wrike. Reporting is not intuitive, making our tracking processes very manual and tedious. Reason for choosing Wrike we were currently using Wrike, cost was more favorably comparable than we realized, and the intelligence of customizable workflows and review/approval processes was unrivaled in other software of similar cost. The biggest drawback is the permission structure and the fact that you have to upgrade to get simple permissions to delete custom fields in your own project. I think that should be a standard feature so if someone creates something by mistake, the admin can fix it instead of needing to contact Wrike. Pros The software is very friendly and intuitive. I like that you can tag someone in a comment and not only do they get a notification that something needs their attention, but is also grants them access if they did not have it prior. Cons Permissions of the software, especially for the administrators, is a bit frustrating. Even if you are an owner/admin, people can create a folder/project/task that you cannot see. This does not help if the person is out unexpectedly for a period of time and you need to assign their work to someone else. The other aspect is Wrike tries to "upsell" you on the features. Example, if you create a custom column, you cannot delete it unless you have an enterprise license. You have to call in and have Wrike delete it otherwise. As a project manager, Wrike allows me to quickly and easily check the status on every project that I manage and check in with people when things look off-track. Wrike is a lifesaver! I came in towards the last 6 months of development and quickly took over the QA team and reorganized it based on my prior experience. We found hundreds of bugs in the game and by launch we had handled almost 99% of them. Wrike was an integral part of it because we could organize our testing people based on the issues we were finding and able to focus them on areas that were less targeted than others. Pros It's ease of use. The site was quick and easy to upload pictures to, and tracking issues was a breeze. Wrike had features similar to in-house software that I had used at Electronic Arts and it was very quick to learn. Cons Not much to not like about it. It is limited in scope, but for tracking and responding to new issues found in game development it was good. September 6, 2017 5.0 Pros Wrike has a lot of tools, and to name one as the best is hard. But for me, I have to say is the tasks - subtasks with dependencies, and the time tracking. This is what I always look for in a good project manager. The time-line report was very appreciated by my superior, he could see everything we were doing at once. The Print a project was really good, but limited for us. The folder and project was awesome for us, because we have so many projects at the same time. Cons My critic goes to the constant e-mails on everything that happens in a task or subtask. I use the daily digest and the notifications from Chrome. Though we are slowly phasing it in, as a manager, I am able to quickly get a visual on the workload of each designer as well as the backlog of tasks and projects. Pros Flexibility - having the ability to design workflows that fit our needs, use item types interchangeably, and create custom items has made this a management system that works like we work rather than forcing us to adapt to it. Cons Integration with Salesforce/Pardot would be awesome. The ability to schedule social media from directly within the platform would be HUGE. Reason for choosing Wrike We tried Monday.com, but the it was expensive and we never found the time to implement fully. It was almost TOO flexible. Starting with a blank canvas can be overwhelming. With Wrike we have now centralized all of our marketing projects into one software which takes a lot of headache out of my day-to-day task management. Pros After getting used to the transition from old software, Wrike has been fairly intuitive to navigate, the communication features are superb (approvals, commenting, reactions, status changes, etc.) and allow all of our teams to create a solid log of work to refer back to if something gets missed. Dashboard customization has been amazing and allows me to see my tasks in a view that specifically helps me, as opposed to how my teammates view their tasks. Cons This is very specific- but when you "Star" projects they appear at the top of the left sidebar. However, this is not true of tasks. I used to keep track of every project that I input based on the sidebar so that I could have a quick glance of all projects I've submitted, but now have been forced to switch to Dashboard view. Easy to use once you finally set it up to how your company manages projects. The notifications and preferences really adapt to your daily workflow, which is very beneficial. Cons The setup process is very time-consuming. After multiple trials, we finally found a solution for us, but it was a few projects in as we were testing it out.
