Pros: It's literally an all in one platform, I can do ANYTHING with Yourmembership for my organization. This kind of robust product doesn't come with a robust price tag it's price fairly and affordably.

Another upside, is we can have a beautifully designed website thats mobile responsive and its all a part of the yourmembership product. This eliminate the need to have to find a contractor to build us a wordpress site.

Cons: There are some things in the backend/product that could still use updating but I know it's something that the YM team has told me they are planning in their roadmaps for the future. (Groups, forums, and blogs)

Overall: Yourmembership as a product solves the needs we have as an organization. They have great customer service and are always willing to go the extra mile to keep valued clients. I look at it as a two way relationship, we are good to YM so they are good to us.

People in leadership, are the kinds of staff members they need to keep around and find a way to clone. We have never had a bad experience that he or others on the YM team couldn't solve.

Comments: There are a great many things that I really appreciate about the YourMembership platform.

There are a ton of features at your fingertips that can benefit your association that you probably hadn't thought of or previously hadn't had the ability to facilitate. Career Centers and integrated Blog and Forum platforms to Merchant Services and Event Management all residing in one space make it hard to argue that you were doing it all just as well before.

I'm not exactly an novice to website design and appreciate coding without a WYSIWYG editor, (What You See Is What You Get) but the ease of use for someone who has had limited exposure to website administration should be able to get the hang of things pretty quickly.

On the downside, YourMembership is a newer platform and still has some wrinkles. The team over there is definitely working to iron them out, but every once in a while you'll hit on something that hasn't been addressed before and there isn't currently a fix for it. Going into it though, you should probably expect that from a platform that is designed to be everything for everyone. Everyone has certain ways they like to do things or ideas on how things should be done, and at times, the YM platform has its own ideas and ways that you then have to adapt to accommodate.

So in conclusion, YourMembership has been a wonderful experience so far. We're an Association Management Company and handle multiple organizations so we have thrown all sorts of problems at YourMembership, and they've fielded all but the most finicky with relative ease and minimal cost. The individuals that I've interacted with have all been attentive, friendly and eager to help out. All that and they are constantly evolving with new feature pushes, better solutions for common problems and frequent fixes that keep everything feeling fresh and a bit exciting (that sounds lame and nerdy, but when a cool new feature comes out, I have a tendency to check it out right away). From switching between no less than 4 CMS platforms, 3 event management tools, and 3 Merchant Solutions providers to get things done, to only having to fiddle in YourMembership has been a huge sigh of relief. YourMembership has been good to us so far and I'd recommend giving it a go without hesitation.

Initially very frustrating and painful, the set up didn't feel intuitive, and confusing.

Pros: I like that key features and functionality are under one platform. And that you can set up pages to edit from both the front and back end of the website.

Cons: Some of the functionality seems outdated (ex. unable to attach documents when sending a group email within a specific group). I think YM is set up to best manage member records when created in YM. Importing a detailed member database as I have to do is not easy in YM. Based on my past experience, deleting a group is beyond tedious and difficult. The member search function is sometimes quirky (ex. the member included their middle name initial, but you didn't include in the search, you get "record not found"). There are some features that are located in places that are not intuitive (ex. group management is under Website/Social but you first have to go to Features.

Overall: Everything is under one platform.

Integrated "content management system" (with limitations)

Strong support for one-to-many membership model (Main representative and sub-accounts)

Cons: Lack of support for conferences.

Rudimentary content management; editor is basic with limited functionality and confusing media manager/content editing

Too much upselling and not enough improvement occurring where it matters

YM oversells features that simply don't deliver on promises

Confusing admin area. Organizational structure is confusing at best.

Overall: This is the third membership platform we've set up for the same client. All have strengths and glaring weaknesses and YM is no exception. The reliability of mail delivery is questionable, and the content management system is in need of a significant overhaul. As a power user, YM makes it difficult and troublesome to suggest improvements; technical support often takes days for a response. It manages members well - but all the other things that are important for engaging and communicating with members, such as events, email, and content are clunky and weak. In my opnion, the platform is not living up to its potential.

Pros: CMS for website. Overall Association Management System integration of website, online database, and ecommerce/event management platform.

Cons: Lack of a dynamic survey module (need Survey Monkey or Formsite features); limited flexibility and customization of member profile fields (member type-driven default settings instead of member-select options.)

Overall: The migration to YourMembership was tied to YM's acquisition of previous AMS. Customer service/support at YM was non-existent 5 years ago; reps hid behind their computers, responded only by email, referred everyone to online videos/resources and never talked to anyone. This did improve for a while, but in the last 12 months as taken a huge step backwards. We are hopeful that this will change in the immediate future.

Do your homework...YM is not a turnkey solution for all organizations, lousy customer service.

Pros: Software has some interesting features, but not all were useful to our organization. Best pro: it's very easy to maintain a decent looking public facing website. Email marketing tools are excellent.

Cons: After the initial six-week set up, we were pretty much left to the wolves. We hired one of their recommended consultants to help us prepare our database for implementation to the system, but our dues schedule was too complex to be completely integrated, so we were forced to maintain two databases (one for membership services and communications, and the other for financials -- not an ideal setup, to say the least, but we were too far in to quit). Due to the difficulty for obtaining quick support solutions, our staff never fully bought in. Dealing with YM's customer support was always was hit or miss -- it really depends on your issue and which YM support member you reach. This isn't easy to control. To obtain support, you must create a ticket, which is prioritized by the company's support team , who then answers in order and/or importance. Answers to questions can take 48 hours, which is frustrating. The upshot for our organization is that we ditched YM after 3 years. On top of all that, the cancellation process was a bit murky as well, and we were even charged several months after we moved on to another AMS. Some of the blame for that was on us, but YM certainly didn't help clear the waters with the cancellation process. Overall, I can not recommend this software provider.

Overall: I have been using YourMembership for over 5 years and have multiple clients in the AMS. The software is affordable and I love that they are rolling out improvements and updates regularly. You don't have to pay for "upgrades" and you are always on the latest version. Lots of robust functionality and 98% of the features I need and want. We did $4M in event registrations for my chapters through YM last year with no fuss and it handles registration for my annual meeting as well. Almost everything I could want for my association.

Comments: This software is fairly easy to use and interface with has administrators. However the front and user experience is still clunky and can't compete with other single solution Saas.

Comments: Robust software that adjust to your needs. It is an association website which is wrapped around a database. With multiple modules to add as your needs expand, this software is the easiest way to handle all aspects of association management.

Pros: Your Membership is association management software that makes an administrator's job easy. From the step by step on boarding and training from the assigned specialist to follow up customer service and the yearly customer training conference, YourMembership helps its customers expand membership, maintain relationships with and communicate with their members.

Cons: Although they help you every step of the way to setting up your CRM and website, it does help if the team working on this has web, html and computer experience. This is best done by people who have the correct background.

Great so far with room to innovate and steamline areas of our AMS

Pros: That our membership database and website are integrated into one, making it easier for us to connect with our members and ease many management woes.

Cons: At times, I don't like that many innovative features are packaged as add-ons versus just upgrading the AMS in general. Even if our annual pay-in to use Yourmembership had to increase to cover the cost, I'd prefer that than adding on several add-ons over time.

Pros: Easy to update website from the database side.

Cons: For a membership based program, it's lacking in simple reports to pull quality data; creating an event is very challenging; and customer service seems to be too busy to help...either doesn't answer same day or rushes you off the phone. They want you to fix the problem. I love being able to do my own thing and learn about the database; however, sometimes you need help. They do not like to help.

Overall: If you have a lot of time to invest in reading all the FAQs and/or How to's you will get along great with the customer service team.

YM has been good for us at this time in our organization.

Pros: The BEST thing is the support. I love that there's a Q&A session daily where we can ask our specific questions. I like the way the invoices work and how the promo codes and events are built.

Cons: I wish the front end looked more contemporary. I also wish there was a way to manage membership for parents who register children for membership.

Pros: Once set up, extremely easy to use. The membership directory is a lifesaver as well as online event registration.

Cons: Getting this setup was extremely difficult and timely. However the support team was helpful. Once in a while there are some issues with software not working or the YM system will go down altogether but they are quick to respond.

Pros: It is very intuitive to use. The online support available, through videos and articles makes learning easy. Even those uncomfortable with technology are able to work through this system, while those more comfortable can take advantage of some really nice features.

Directory reports are easy, the dashboard gives a great snapshot of where everything stands, and creating our website and making changes to it are as easy as typing in Word.

The implementation went smoothly because of the great actions of the YM implementation team. They helped us set up the system in the best way for our specific needs.

Cons: The events section is not as robust as in some other CRMs. Admins don't have any more rights to change/ alter a registration than an end user, so for more complex events you ahve to create a lot of promo codes and, sometimes, separate private events.

Pros: The ease of use for customers and backend admin users. I like that you can customize to fit your organizations needs. It has also helped decrease our organizations use of paper, and processing checks drastically.

Cons: Reporting , its is very difficult to create custom reports. More international functionality. The directory search could be a little bit more precise.

Overall: Alot of bang for our buck. We are now able to integrate our database with our website which is very important to our registrants.

Pros: It is easy to download lists that you need of your clients or members, that is about the only thing that I like about it

Cons: I do not like the support team. I put in a ticket almost 24 hours ago and haven't heard anything back. Any time that I call I get sent to a voicemail. My company has been with them since 2012 and paid 7K a year but when I need to change the look they want 2.5K more. We are a non profit and are on a much smaller budget so this is alot. As soon as my board approves it I will be taking my business to another company. If you are a large company that needs many bells and whistles then they might work for you but we don't and it makes navigation so hard. It was easier to create a new website through Wix and send a newsletter through their platform than to send something through your membership. I'm sure that for some companies this is what they need but if you are a small business or non profit there are much better options out there like Alumni360, Memberclicks, Member 365 and others

Overall: I have yet to see benefits from this software that I can't get somewhere else. Granted it keeps track of all of my members but so do other software companies

Comments: We didn't realize how much we would need to be involved in setting up the website design in the beginning, but that enabled us to learn a lot about website development. Perhaps more than we wanted to know. However, as time progresses, have gotten comfortable with the functionality; we utilize more features and find that we are able to tailor many of the membership management features to the unique ways in which we operate.

We started this without having anyone with prior knowledge or expertise in website development and varied levels of comfort and experience with software utilization. If your agency employs or contracts with a techie type, you will most likely avoid our startup hiccups. In either case, there is no better customer service than YM. They are available and responsive by phone, email, video tutorials and downloadable guides. I've also found that unique situations are forwarded to product development so the functionality is updated on an ongoing basis.

Oh, and if you use Quickbooks, the two sync well. Haven't tried the plug-ins yet because they are a little costly for us but there is a Quickbooks plug-in and a mobile app interface for conferences and events that also has perfect synchronization with the member/non-member database.

Pros: I have had nothing but a great experience with YM for our organization. It makes sense to a novice database/website person like me, and the YM staff are always helpful and pleasant. They don't treat me like an idiot, but as a student learning to work with the product. I can't say anything negative about my experience with YM!

Cons: Nothing! It is all good and necessary to my organization.

Recommendations to other buyers: Buy it, now! You won't be sorry and you will be eager to learn it in order to advance your work and business image. The product makes perfect sense to novice users like me; I've come a long way since my organization purchased the software. It never gets boring, and the people at YM are easy to work with and in answering my questions.

Comments: I've been using the association management feature on YM for about 2 years now. The administrative back end has more than enough to offer for the price. The important thing is to consider - do you need that many features for what your organization does. We definitely do and we've been happy with them so far.

Pros: Great functionality Reasonably competitive pricing Weekly Q and A webinars to ask any questions you may have.

Cons: Too many features for smaller organizations Customer service doesn't respond to the first contact, they'll follow up with an email then call if they need to Constantly adding new features that do not always work on first release (just like any other product or company) Expensive if your operating budget is already tight

Pros: We migrated our website and membership management (1300 members) almost 7 months ago and appreciate many new features, especially the group pages we set up with our Board members as administrators. They enjoy the 24/7 access they have to post news about new events and activities. We like the ability to schedule email messages and reminders to all our members. We recently began using the "syte-sensor" to monitor our website, and that has helped us access and use additional features. Customer service to help us out as we learned about the software and its application has been wonderful.

Cons: Indexing of topics in the Knowledge Base (help manual) isn't always picking up on the key words we use, and it takes a bit of digging. However, when we contact support people, we get what we need.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take a look at other YourMembership sites to see the multiple different web options available.

Would not subscribe again.

Pros: Many features in one package at a price that cannot be beat. Dollar for dollar this is the best association management software that I have used or demoed in 15 years.

Cons: It works better as a back end than as a front end system. We had issues with some of the page templates and YM was late coming to responsive design.

Pros: They appeared to provide all the tools you could ever need. Individual ID/password and other self-service membership features and benefits.

Cons: Support! Pathetic is putting it mildly. It seems that whenever you call for support during business hours you only get a voice recording. Seldom do you get the opportunity to reach a live person. They typically respond to online forms the next day but when you have a service affecting situation you need service then. Another HUGE fail is their bulk emailing feature. We have a small membership email list, 4500 members, when only 1/4 get the emails regularly you know there are problems. And to add insult to injury, it's almost impossible to create a bulk email in an easy to read format. Cut and paste from a basic text editor or Word and then try to format it, everything goes haywire. Try to type your own and the window will freeze up on you and you'll lose hours of work if you haven't saved it recently. Get ready to be frustrated.

Recommendations to other buyers: Run! Go look at someone else... YourMembership is over prced and over sold and fails to meet on the most basic features.

Comments: Don't lock yourself into a three-year contract like we did. Get out before you can.

Pros: None. This software has caused nothing but issues for our client in the two years we have been on it. They are not happy. We also had to buy an add-on of Informz just to be able to send emails to our members since YM is BLACKLISTED. Funny they mention it AFTER we signed.

Cons: Everything. Frankly, while I write this review as the software is down again. Don't expect any ease of use, don't call for support; they won't answer and will take a few days to return your call. Every setting is so hard to find, complex and hard to understand. It is not meant for membership managers.

Pros: The support staff at YourMembership.com is phenomenally responsive.

Cons: The software is so robust that it's hard to simply dive in and swim around. I believe it would really help to attend one of their Xperience conferences, which I've not yet done.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you use a matrix to evaluate the myriad of features of the multiple programs you're looking at. If you're looking for a top notch online community, YM.com can provide it, but you may want to contact the online community expert.

Comments: Several months ago Yourmembership moved to a new customer support platform. And I have to say, as is often the case with new things, I was not too excited about the change.

My firm provides support and programming to a few dozen Yourmembership.com users, so I am in the support area and interacting with YM staff continually. So any change was initially inconvenient. But I have become a believer. The ease of use of the new site is great. I can access all my tickets from a single log in, etc.

But even better is the incredible responsiveness and support provided by the YM team. They respond immediately, they dig in and stay with issues until they are resolved and provide a hive level of personal interaction and individual support. Most support makes it almost impossible to get anyone on the phone. YM calls me! They are without question the best customer support team I work with in the industry.

Pros: That the job board does work with our web-site and the revenue checks are sent regularly.

Cons: There is an embarrassing level of customer service! You leave voicemails that are never answered. You get a live person on the phone only after posing as a new customer and then they are unable to correctly transfer a phone call to who you really need to speak too. How many people work at this company that no one is manning a Customer Service line during business hours on a Tuesday? I would rather be put into a queue and wait for a person than leave a vm in a mailbox with no ones name on it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Check out an option that provided a minimum of a live person during business hours or the ability to hold for one.

Comments: We are only in the early stages of migrating to YourMembership.com, and I am already a "Product Evangelist"! This is an incredible product that is easy to use, robust and adaptable. Part of the package is a wealth of useful how-to-videos and tutorials, and frequent training seminars (both live, and pre-recorded). All are well done, and I highly recommend watching them or jumping onto a training seminar as early as you can once you elect to go with YM. The administrative back end of YM is easily accessible on any web browser, and works great on both iPhone & iPad. My only "cons" (very minor) is that you must use their approved payment processor for credit card transactions, and the QuickBooks Interface doesn't work with MAC or QuickBooks cloud. Already a terrific product, there is even more yet to come.

Comments: I am in the process of migrating our custom-build database over to YM. Though the person I have been working with has been great in "quick" responses, he usually only answers half my questions and I spend way too much time monitoring what Q's have been answered and what hasn't. The answers feel like 'canned' prewritten answers that don't always fit what I am askign either. I feel like YM did not do a good job of going over what I needed to do on my end to make everything work so that I get a final product I want and need. Also, I find that YM misses little things when they set up things on their end of for me (miss a checkbox here and there). Very disappointing. I was hoping for better customer service than this.

Implantation team is great to work with and made the process easy.

Pros: I like that YourMembership integrates many aspects that you would need for association management into one tool.

Cons: Locating some of the tools can be challenging since it is not always intuitive to where these would be located.

Comments: I found this service to be highly expensive for the features it offers. Unlike the aforementioned review, I did find the interface to be cumbersome and difficult for our staff to learn. There are tons of menus to navigate through and the menu items were not named in user-friendly terms. We only kept our site for a year because we were under contract. After using it only a few months we were already searching for something better. The consultant that we were assigned to was very nice but there was no way she could make the interface easier to use. When we initially signed up for the service we also ordered the moble app for access to the site. It took NINE months for this to be developed and it was designed by an independent developer. We were not given direct access to the app developer so all communications were handled through YourMembership. We had no way to inquire what the hold up was and all we kept receiving from YM was excuses. When the app was released it only provided limited functionality so users could not access all areas of the service. I could not recommend YM to anyone.

Comments: I've been using Your Membership for about 18 months for one of my association clients. I have found that it is very easy to use and the customer service is fast and helpful. I've been able to produce clear membership reports for my Board, quickly set up and manage events and send blast communications. They continue to improve their product based on customer feedback. Although there are a few features I wish they had, I have been impressed overall with YourMembership. I have used over five other AMS platforms and this has been my favorite so far.

Comments: I was hired by a local state college to redesign and manage an alumni eNews using their YourMembership account. The software is adaptive and relatively easy to learn. However, what sets YourMembership apart from other eNews services is customer service. When I submit requests for help, response time is remarkably fast via both e-mail and phone. Tech specialists are knowledgeable, cheerful, patient, and go the extra mile to solve the problem. I've worked with several eNews services with good tech support, but the YourMembership team is exceptional ... the best.

Comments: We use this as an association and have found our membership rates jump due to the resources, online registration for membership and events, as well as the design of this platform.

They let you design your website from scratch on the front-end. This allows you to make your site unique and fit your needs. Their customer support is all-around amazing. They do weekly calls with you during the implementation process.

On the back-end, you can track registration of events, check membership and edit the front-end.

Pros: I liked best the fact that the product was very easy to use. This is important to me because my time is precious and something that is easy to use allow me to save time.

Cons: Overall I would rate the product highly. So, as a result, I can not thing of any feature that I liked least about the product.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend to others to take the time to do the review slowly and try to experience all the features of the products in order to give it a fair review.

Cons: Needs more work. Programs do not navigate very well. Website takes for ever to get from one page to another. Not user friendly for our members who have a hard time navigating.

Overall: This software is the worse ever. Trying to navigate from one page to the next takes about 1 or 2 mins for the page to even load. Website is very slow in general. Not to mention, our members have such a hard time registering for events because the website is not very user friendly. The site makes you press the registration button several times before taking you to the page. My advice is to keep looking, this is not a good service.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's just poorly functioning in general. Go back to the drawing board and work harder. When I went to design school all they kept telling the students was to make it USER FRIENDLY. You have not achieved this at all.

Comments: I've been through nightmare implementations. They are always hard and some surprise you didn't plan for comes up. In my experience vendors bail or charge you unexpectedly high fees when you don't prepare for something you should have. That has not been my experience with YM. The Service is great and the implementation support was an inclusive team approach that was invaluable. The features and software are really robust and work very well. I still can't believe how much is included. Wow!

Pros: How organized and efficient it is. They have a great customer service team who have been helpful whenever I've had any issues.

Cons: It took me a little while to get familiar with some of the categories they had on the site. But otherwise I would say it's super efficient.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be sure it can meet all your needs. Know your requirements beforehand and make sure to have all your questions answered.

Pros: The website is well designed and has great graphics and is easy to navigate.

Cons: It is fairly expensive for what they provide. It would be good if they could find a way to provide more services for the money they charge.

Comments: ARCSI has used YM since 2008 as our member management system. It provides us with a number of detail reports and actions. We have stayed with YM because of their outstanding customer service. Whenever we do have a question their responses are always very prompt and thorough. Both customer service reps and technical advisers quickly understand the issue and spend the necessary time to walk us through and resolve the issue.

Pros: The whole of the program is directed to certain very specific types of membership, and it does very well with those types and requirements. Customer service is responsive and helped quickly with everything they could.

Cons: Styles and types of groups not directly supported are difficult to introduce into the program, further even with customer service doing their best some features and changes cannot be introduced to all membership types.

My favorite part about this software is the great Customer Service staff.

Comments: Between the live webinars, video tutorials and customer support this software was fairly simple to learn how to use. My favorite thing about YourMembership.com is the people who they have on staff. They have made my experience with YM.com quite positive. They respond to my support requests quickly and have shown me a lot of things I wasn't aware the software was capable of doing.

Pros: The public website is lovely, looks great, not difficult to use and maintain

Cons: The actual membership functions leave a LOT to be desired for this kind of money. First of all, there is no capability AT ALL for membership NUMBERS to be added. Then, the family membership function is combersome and almost a joke in terms of how one gets family members into the system. It's more work than our old manual method. Finally, there is no way to get printed membership cards to the member. After months of wrangling, we're shopping for a new system. Don't waste your time unless you need none of the above.

Overall: If you are a social org only, this is the product for you, but if you are a physical organization with physical property, keep looking.

Comments: I am the kind of user who can learn a bit from webinars but nothing really clicks until I need to use the system and Your Membership's support system has been excellent in helping set things up and evaluate what I've done. They call quickly once I've entered a ticket and continue support until I'm satisfied, not when they think I should be satisfied.
