Can easily track inventory, slaes, and customers.

Pros

Best features are: + I can track inventory and figure out what I have in-store. + track PO from vendors and keep track of back-orders. + figure out my best selling product and best customers

Cons

\- So many features, it is difficult to utilize all of them. - Front end looks a little dated but not terrible.

Pros

The personal service from the tech support. When we get in trouble there is always someone back to us fast with help. Takes a lot of the stress out of running a POS system.

Cons

There is no good way to make this software work with our website and the available web solutions are not appropriate for us. Hoping that we can change that in time.

Pros

It is extremely easy to use with functionality that works for my type of business and probably any retail business

Cons

Other than not being able to create a non-stock item code with a negative cost and retail amount, but I have been able to use 2 methods suggested by Retail Edge that works for my application

We are now more organized and ordering new product is becoming a breeze as we get the system up to par with what we need.

Pros

The ease of use when it comes to entering data is great. Looking items up is a breeze when using the pos sytem.

Cons

Not being able to adjust the spacing on a label is a pain especially when the label is cut off. There are certain combinations of discounts that are still not available that seem simple enough to implement.

Inventory tracking , metrics on so many different areas and potential for scaling up business.

Pros

.It's a one time software cost verses monthly cost system and low optional monthly update service. You have the option of onsite hosting order cloud hosting. Both still allowing ability to scale to multi store. So many ways for configuring and your not paying for "add on's" that aren't really add-ons. RetailEdge has been around since 1998 - they're invested in this business and not a 5 yr old start up. They understand Retailers real issues, not just the fluffy stuff and are always making changes.

Cons

The GUI and presentation is not pretty (but it's functional). More specifically the touch screen POS doesn't allow for too much customization when it comes to: button size, adding more tabs, perhaps adding pictures on the buttons. Inability to customize printable reports - eg. removing the cost price on PO's - as it still prints cost price; even if the user does not have cost price privileges.

Pros

We like most about the software that it is easy to use and easy to train new employees on. We can enter the item number quickly and process the sale quickly with Retail Edge.

Cons

We don't always have a good tract of our inventory on hand. It seems to be that all purchases are not added to inventory.

Pros

The ease of the software. We are a hospital gift shop and have mostly volunteers using the cash registers. Even the ladies who have had absolutely no cash register experience have had no problems with this software. Customer support is awesome, always call me right back and have always solved my issues.

Pros

Retail Edge is an easy software program to teach our sales staff on for the cash register, regardless of their computer skills.

Cons

The rounding function can be hard to get to an exact number when receiving the purchase orders. It can also be challenging knowing which is the best report to select.

Pros

We like the simplicity and cost effectiveness of Retail Edge. It is also very robust. We have never lost a transaction over the past years.

Cons

The report interface is not the best. We end up exporting our raw data and using other reporting software.

Pros

The reports are very useful. It is helpful with understanding stock, managing stock and the customer base.

Cons

inaccuracies and errors in reports that can't be resolved with support help. We found customers with balances that were not accurate and the support team could not resolve the problem.

Extensive data capture including lots of historical information. Ability to export and import data from CSV/Excel.

Cons

Inability to create your own reports easily. Limitations in search function (does not have multi-level search feature e.g., Description = gri\* and SKU = CH\*).

Easy of use, security features, reporting. For each location to be able to enter sales and at the end of the day because of the RECON feature general reports for each location at the head office.

Security sometimes can be a pain especially where a clerk has to log in each time she has to enter a sales.
