September 13, 2023 5.0 I used to suffer from system crashes, corrupt data cells, and print failures. Not anymore Pros I run an established legal research and consulting service. I switched to TimeSolv after using the same PC based software for over 20 years. After the bugs in the ancient software became too much to handle, a friend recommended TimeSolv. I can't say enough good things about this application. The set up and conversion fo my data was a breeze, thanks to their conversion team. The app is super easy to use. I cut my invoice generation time by 2/3 and it is super easy to enter time on the go, whether at my PC or on my phone. The customer service and support is outstanding. It is faster, easier, more customizable, and less expensive than Tabs3 that we were using--plus the customer service is unheard of in our day and age. Pros I love that I can easily navigate the program. I figured how to do all the basic functions I needed within about 10 minutes on my own, without help. If you can do a Google search or use Facebook, you can use this program! Cons TimeSolv's conversion team was phenomenal. The difficulty was getting our data converted from Tabs3 because of how we did it (we didn't transfer all data, only some of the attorneys' data). This meant we did have to do some manual data entry to complete the conversion. It would have been great not to have to do that. But it was such a small thing in comparison to all the benefits of TimeSolv. And it was only a one-time thing. Reason for choosing TimeSolv Legal Billing I first saw it on Forbes' list of top software. Then the customer service blew us away. It only got better as we started using the test version of it. We tested a few, but the one that has been the best has been TimeSolv. From a timekeeper standpoint, I am glad we have switched to TimeSolv. The cost per user is great and it works well with our small firm. Pros We love that we can see the number of hours billed each day in the month, editing and adding information is easy and adding disbursements is as well. The search features and most other items are easy. Cons Some of the information in our timekeeping isn't automatically added into our bills (which need to be). However, working with customer service to get those items added in has been a breeze. Reason for choosing TimeSolv Legal Billing It just worked better for us and similar to what we previously used. In fact, it does the user's work for you. Time & Billing records are difficult enough by themselves. TimeSolv takes out the mystery. Moreover, if you ever have a question the Support Team is on it right away. And they listen! A few years ago, I made a suggestion which they employed less than a week later. TimeSolv is simply the best! Pros It's intuitive. We Mac users--even when forced to use PCs--believe the user should be able to do 95% of the desired tasks without ever opening the user manual. Timesolv meets this standard so well one would think it was designed on a Mac! Cons Typical of all the time/billing apps, there are too many places to enter "settings" that can cause odd results that are then difficult to fix because you can't easily identify which setting is the culprit. When I have a question I can email my account representative who quickly responds with the answer. Customer service is important. Pros I found the software fairly intuitive and fairly easy to navigate thru on a daily basis. Liked to set up much better that several other competing products that I had presentations for. They want a bunch personal information from you but when pinned down on why, they have no idea. Just a bunch of drones checking off on a box. When you ask them for a copy of their data protection privacy policies, they clearly have no idea what that is or refuse to provide it. Most likely they are selling your private information to the lowest bidder. When you confront them about, very hostile. I am so glad we caught on to this nightmare before we really started working with them. Pros I don't! Please don't waste your time. Very unlikely you will get past the setup process. Cons The company's support and ability to completely waste our time. Reason for choosing TimeSolv Legal Billing Good sales people. They just can't follow up with good service. I researched several companies and TimeSolve seemed the best fit for my needs and the most reasonable price. I was assigned \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] as my account rep and she has been OUTSTANDING! She did an initial 90-minute Zoom call to explain the program. TimeSolve then imported my Timeslips database and I was up and running. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has timely and professionally answered my many questions and even agreed to do a Zoom call on a Sunday as that was the last day of May and when I needed to send out my bills. I cannot say enough good things about TimeSolv. The program is intuitive, easy to use and exceeds all my needs and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been so helpful, professional, responsive and a true pleasure to work with the entire time. I can now enter my time and do billing anywhere I have a computer with internet access and am not tied to the office anymore. I wish I had switched to TimeSolve years ago. Cons Nothing. It is a really well conceived and thought out program. Switched from [Sage Timeslips](https://www.capterra.com/p/114210/Sage-Timeslips/) I needed billing software that would work on both Mac and PC so that I could enter time and do billing at home or locations other than the office. Timeslips doesn't make a Mac version so I did some research and concluded TimeSolve was the best fit and the most reasonably priced. Review Source DH David H. Excellent, custom conversion from 15+ years of Timeslips data" January 22, 2018 5.0 Complete, useful conversion from TimeSlips. Regular updates. Great customer support. Pros I can't say enough good about the customer support compared to every other software I've ever used - of any description. I am a sole proprietor, and the time that the reps took to convert my 15+ years of Timeslips data into a mostly familiar format in TimeSolv. Several lengthy phone meetings and training sessions were involved to make sure that they understood what I needed and I understood how to use their product. I have to say, now that I'm adjusting to the new web-based platform, I am able to accomplish my daily timekeeping, invoicing and AR entries with less steps and greater efficiency than I ever did with TimeSlips. The search functions just work better, in nearly every field. The invoices are easier to tweak to my needs and preferences. Although it has taken me a little while to adjust to so many new ways of doing familiar things, it is starting to make sense, and I prefer it to any timekeeping software I have used. And after TImeSolv solved and answered all my questions and got me there, I called the main 800 line for a quick question about how to allocate payments. My call was answered on the 3rd ring and woman instantly had the answer to my question, and made sure I understood what I was doing before she got off the phone. Unbelievable - dare I say old -fashioned? - customer support for a thoroughly modern program. Cons The reporting functions a little less intuitive than other functions, to my mind, at least. A quick daily snapshot of time billed today, this week, month, year, would be useful. Review Source Ali K. July 6, 2018 5.0 Pros It has features which makes time keeping and billing customizable down to the most minute detail, in an intuitive way. Reports keep me on top of everything, I sleep better thanks to Timesolv. Cons Could be even better if it was possible to record time and disbursements on a mobile or tablet. I bill in different currencies like EUR, Turkish Lira and GBP but there is no foreign currency support. This would add huge value to the application and open the door to international sales. Also the flexibility in invoice formatting. I love the recent update that allowed the entering and allocating payments at the same time which eliminated an extra step. Cons The integration with Quickbooks was not useful to us as we're a small law firm and it just brought too much info over. Pros Entering time for our attorney's is a pleasure with TimeSolve compared to pclaw. Updating and moving time entries around is very user friendly. Editing and creating invoices is also so much easier with this product. I am able to easily figure out how to access features and apply them where and when I want them. I love the Chat portion of the customer service experience. And today I had a TimeSolv Support Meeting with \[sensitive content hidden\] and they were amazing! They fixed everything for us on the spot even though our meeting went over our time slot and were so friendly and helpful while helping me out. Really great customer service and support. Cons My lease favorite part is searching for a matter when I am creating an invoice. I often have to try various ways - client/matter numbers, key words, scrolling - before I can find what I want. I had been dreading the change, but the transition to TimeSolv has been relatively painless. I began tracking time, tracking expenses and invoicing clients immediately after opting into the free trial and getting an hour of free training. I've requested and received additional free training since then and the training has been fantastic. I ultimately decided to add TimeSolvPay as a payment option. The training for TimeSolvPay was great. I've use the feature once and it worked as advertised. Pros I have found the customer support/technical support to be outstanding. Cons I wish there was an online manual where one could find simple introductory material. I haven't been able to teach myself the basics without calling upon the customer/techinical support. On the bright side, the customer/technical support has been excellent. Reason for choosing TimeSolv Legal Billing I chose TimeSolv over other products in part because it was cheaper, but also on account of the positive reviews that TimeSolv received from customers who, like me, had previously used Timeslips.
