I've been using the Widen API to connect to the asset management system and pull various amounts of information for displaying in a 3rd party webpage. It's works great, the API documentation is good and Widen has given excellent support on it.

Pros

Most of my experience is around using the API interface and it seems to be very good.

Cons

There were some limitations to the 2.0 API that you could not do but that the 1.0 API could do. So that was kind of weird that the 1.0 would be better than 2.0 in some situations.

Widen Collective is a great tool for managing your digital assets

Pros

It's easy to use and great for organizing, tagging, and retrieving your digital assets. It's also very scalable, which is nice.

Cons

It stores assets on the cloud, which sometimes makes me a little uncomfortable, but they assure us that it's secure, and we haven't had any problems with that.
