Pros
When you take the time to show a customer/user how your product can impact their productivity and success in a positive way, you've gained more than their business, you've gained loyalty.
The training was hands down the best we have ever received, the customer service is spot on, couldn't be better. Highly recommend this software for all Subcontractors regardless of your size.
When we needed help with an issue we had great support staff to give us a hand. The customer representative with Esub is hands down one of the best contacts to have at Esub.
Gaining better control with our projects has saved time and money and our customers like the fact we are on top of the project at all times.
Cons
Overall I cannot think of anything that I can say that I dislike.
There is no ticketing system for the items I've submitted that are issues.
The outgoing emails from the website for some reason often get filtered by spam filters and end up sitting in the recipients junk folders.
The only things that I personally have run into is the inability to do submittals inside the software as opposed to importing them.

"eSub delivers a quality product that is easy to use and meets all of our needs."
Overall: eSub provides a great cloud-based solution that meets all of our project management and project tracking needs. As a subcontractor, it was nice to finally find a software solution that is tailored to the needs of subs and our work flow. It is easy to use and it has been easily adopted by all of our users, both in the office and in the field. I find that it covers all of the processes of a subcontracting workflow simply, but it is not simplistic. It is a sophisticated piece of software that has increased our internal efficiency and our external "appearance" to our clients. The only small complaint I've had so far with this software is the inability to share some common project submittal information between old and new projects, but this would be a great extra, not a deal killer at all. We have been very happy with eSub's continued enhancements and their technical support staff is very helpful and very easy to get a hold of. I'd rate their support team among the best that I've encountered over the years. If you are a subcontracting firm looking for project management/project tracking software, eSub provides a great solution and is a great value for the price. I'd highly recommend it.
"Elite Exteriors "
Overall: Good - customer support and over all base for running and managing the project from the office.
Pros: Document management and history of emails.
Cons: High entry level for not that tech savy workers.
"eSUB Review"
Overall: The system works a lot better than it did a year ago. It used to take forever to open Timecard Management or wouldn't open at all and I was having to manually enter payroll, but now I don't have that problem.
Pros: The export feature so time doesn't have to be manually entered in our Payroll system
Cons: I have to open each and every single job each week to save the Daily Reports and to know what jobs need to be included to export and it takes quite a bit of time. It would be nice if you could just populate daily reports created that week.
"Ease of eSUB"
Overall: I like eSUB for keeping track of time and progress on the job. Can quickly look at comments or pictures to see what's getting done.
Pros: Helps track job information for office and field.
Cons: Sometimes, loading pictures in Field Notes takes some time.
"eSub Review"
Overall: Very good and love the product. It would be a different world without it.
Pros: The ease of use and keeping organized. The flexibility to use on the go. The ability to look at documents in the field
Cons: Not too much to dislike. The product is sound and battle tested.
"eSUB"
Pros: It's online. It has a visual graphic to represent hours used versus budget
Cons: Phases are not listed numerically, along with many other things where it would make sense. Unable to copy an employees timecard over from the previous week- or hold a default timecard that you could fill in - with an appearance like an excel sheet which would save a lot of time for entry. Unable to export phases for time keeping- which causes manual entry at the end. Everything has to be manually entered.
"ESUB summary "
Overall: I like using ESUB. Only platform I’ve used but like showing work performed in certain areas and capturing hours daily
Pros: Easy input for job descriptions. Keeping track of hours and submitting for payroll
Cons: The delay I get on finishing a daily report and the process of deleting a crew if needed
"Quality product"
Pros: It is simple to use and provides a one stop shop for time keeping and construction documents.
Cons: Occasionally time keeping changes dont save and have to be done again before they take.
"Worth the money"
Overall: Love it! The best things about it are keeping track of everything
Pros: The way you can track lost time to jobs and keeping track of workers time.
Cons: Kinda hard to navigate to some areas. For instance trying to figure out how to print a weekly time sheet that included everyone on the job and the amount of hrs they worked.
"request"
Pros: photo uploads with time stamp, i pad friendly.
Cons: Not able to compare software, esub has is our field standard
"Worth every penny"
Overall: this is the perfect tool for simple managers to keep track of their projects with.
Pros: the majority of the features are intuitive and not complicated
Cons: the inability to integrate with Quickbooks (our accounting software)
"Good option "
Pros: It can be a good product if the company is tailored to how esub is set up
Cons: Not very many editing options once something is entered.
"eSUB for Construction Document Management"
Overall: Very positive. The support team is excellent. I have only had a few issues, but they have been addressed swiftly every time.
Pros: Having a searchable repository that I do not need to maintain is a tremendous resource. The time savings of all the employees that do not need to dig through file trees to find documents is a significant savings.
Cons: When I attach a PDF to a Submittal, all of my bookmarks are deleted and many of my bookmarks get garbled. I then need to send a separate Box link to my customer in order for them to view the file as it was uploaded. This deletes the chain of custody for the document. Maybe there is an opportunity for a enhancement here.
"If you are not using PM software you are losing money"
Overall: Communication between the field/project manager/ and accounting. We're truly capturing dollars that used to be lost. Very happy with eSub and recommend it to all of my "friendly" colleagues.
Pros: The software has allowed us to communicate efficiently between the operations in the field and the project manager. More efficiently capturing change order dollars that used to be lost.
Cons: I understand why the system is so robust but there ought to be a way to streamline e-mailing documents to general contractors. Once it is initially set up on the first e-mail it should not be that I MUST make the same selections every time. Default should be to include support documents. Subject line for change order e-mails should be the project/CO#/CO Subject.
"Good Software"
Pros: I typically use E-sub to generate submittals, purchase orders and change orders. It's super effective for this, as i can attach documents to the submittal as well and it helps keep me organized and have all of my submittals in one place.
Cons: Sometimes the software can be glitchy and will not allow me to add certain files/takes a long time to load.
"Easy to use"
Pros: This product allows for real time financial and time tracking.
Cons: The way it treats materials is not the most useful for our specific business.
"helpful"
Overall: I dont mind it. It's easy!
Pros: Easy to navigate and simple. It's easy to log in to with no issues. I am usually in the purchase orders and scheduling.
Cons: The only thing I dont like is you have to make sure your contacts for a new job is in there because sometimes they dont show up in the vendor contacts.
"eSub Review"
Overall: overall the experience has been great
Pros: Submittal tracking and RFI tracking are very useful as well as field notes and taking quick pictures and notes.
Cons: for the mobile app, it tends to be slow. When submitting RFI, it would be nice once you save it to give you the option to directly attach a file or email instead of having to go back and find the RFI.
"eSub"
Overall: overall ok product, could use updates to enhance experience
Pros: employee timecard tracking, ability to send documents out of eSub via email
Cons: options/features are hard to find, change orders and purchase orders clunky
"General foreman"
Overall: Pleasant straightforward
Pros: Easy to access information and relay information
Cons: Nothing to report I am pleased to use this app
"Great"
Pros: Simplifies job tracking and also budgeting
Cons: n/a
"Very useful tool for project management."
Pros: Great for tracking submittals, purchase orders, change order requests and job costing.
Cons: Adding contacts can sometimes be annoying as you need to scroll down a long ways depending on how many projects you have.
"eSub Software Review"
Pros: Drawing management and submittals, Change Orders and Requisitions
Cons: When a submittal is sent, the software groups the files which makes it very large for the receiver.
"Eddie's esub review"
Pros: How easy it is to use and how quickly you can get from job select to entering time or whatever else you need to get to.
Cons: It took me awhile to figure out how to print off a weekly time sheet for all my workers to see and make sure they have the correct amount of hours worked that week.
"review "
Overall: Its not bad software but it is not the greatest other I think it has way more potential to be more functional
Pros: The use for change orders it can be easy to send to our GC
Cons: The material list is not editable. i have the same material like 15+ times because i cant edit the price or delete
