Pros It's really easy to create a simple email template, add texts, links and images, and preview how it will look on mobile and desktop. Additionally, it's only about three or four clicks to schedule a campaign to go out to a subscriber list. Cons Beyond text, images and links, there isn't much you can do with this software if you can't code. You can't add plug-ins or widgets to the email. Again, the problem was not what they made, but where I was making it live...a hazardous environment, and it was still working well despite not having good reasons to. I am a contractor for a client, and nobody gave me any grief about not being a direct employee. They were so willing and eager to help right out of the gate, and they took time out to walk me through every possibility, as well as how to address those possibilities. This is a day and age where everyone's so impulsive that they literally can't function unless you chop everything into notes and bullets, and here they are (concisely, not wastefully) giving a total breakdown. And it's not curt, and it's not condescending. They just care that the issue gets resolved, instead of 95% of other online support, which is pointing fingers and passing the buck. Fine free version and good basic model in the paid version as well. But seems like some of the things like sending out e-mails at a certain time in different geographies should be a part of the paid plan in the basic version. Pros We have used Campaign Monitor for some time now, and it works well. There is a good overview of the different campaigns you have sent, while there's also possibility for split testing. Does the job on a regular basis. Cons Sometimes the interface is not that intuitive. Especially when it comes to understanding the difference between transactional and automatic e-mails. If you have thousands of contacts that you need to reach in marketing campaigns several times a week with contact options to opt out of one or more segments while still being a part of the master list, look elsewhere. Pros Some pros for this app are the price point, campaign statistics reporting and integration with Salesforce. Cons This app appears to be geared towards smaller organizations that do not have a technical staff on board to manage the marketing. It has been so watered down to be user friendly that it not very robust or customizable. It does have a Salesforce connector to track some campaign data in Salesforce. The volume of data that often gets tracked, while important to companies, eats up Salesforce data storage very quickly. If you are not careful with how you manage lists and segments, costs can quickly creep up and become overwhelming. I fully recommend it, no coding skills necessary. Pros This was the first email marketing platform I've ever used and I gotta say it was a breeze to work with. I only had some basic HTML knowledge and that helped a lot, but other than that I relied on Campaign Monitor to teach me how to use it. February 12, 2018 4.0 The biggest benefit was that I was able to get up to speed and learn the software quickly. It wasn't overwhelming and I felt like I could build great looking emails right away. Pros I like that it enables you to create great looking email without any prior experience or knowledge coding or building emails. They have a drag and drop email builder that allows you to quickly create beautiful, responsive, mobile-friendly emails in an easy to use interface. Their marketing automation features are also much easier to learn than some of their competitors. Cons For advanced email marketers with coding and development knowledge, Campaign Monitor is a little too simple. It really is geared to marketers who don't have a lot of development knowledge and lacks some of the features of Salesforce's Marketing Cloud. Review Source Katie M. Our emails are going out without being blocked and we are getting great information back on tracking for each email campaign we setup. Pros Not only is this platform very easy to use to create and build email newsletters and support emails it gives you the ability to white label and brand the software to sell as a service to your current clients. Adding revenue to support your sales and marketing clients through email marketing. Cons The template designer which is very easy to use and has quality templates is lacking in the customization aspect the designs are. How ever you can code and upload your own email designs. While I've used a variety of other tools, it is by far the most streamlined tool I've experienced while offering the best looking emails. I was really impressed with how intuitive the user experience is and how good the templates looked across all browsers and devices. Cons So far I haven't found anything I dislike. Perhaps an easier way to move and sort contacts between lists would be helpful, but it's pretty straightforward already. Pros Their designer is easy to use, but yet provides great power features like dynamic parameters, draggable sections, and more. The ability to create and manage different templates for different uses is very handy. Their support is top-notch and always responsive within a couple of hours. Cons Their pricing is higher than other services, so it can sometimes be a hard sell to clients, especially as they add more subscribers. I hope that someday the one -time campaign plan will be less pricey. Pros What I like the most about the software is that it can send campaigns to thousands of subscribers in just a few clicks and in just a few minutes. It also offers a wide variety of themes and templates that you can use for your promotions and campaigns. Cons The software has a single time campaign plan but is very pricey. January 12, 2019 4.0 Professional position with campaign monitor. Having campaigns ready to be launched seasonally is the comfort that gives us. We are happy with the results obtained. Pros It offers a great variety when it comes to creating fantastic campaigns that users quickly accept. Thanks to Campaign Monitor, we can create and manage large campaigns whose ROI is acceptable. We can personalize the messages, have emails answering the questions, all automatically, in addition to checking all the mail that arrives in the tray. The campaigns were never as personalized as the ones we can create in Campaign Monitor. Cons The design is difficult to achieve so far, because they are templates that have very little and can be redesigned or changed completely. The design must be broader or the range of images for posters and specific campaigns. Now, for things that matter more: it has nice templates and relatively easy to implement. Customization could be improved. In the end if you get the job done, coming in than all it's left for you to do is watch those people opening your emails on worldview while siping your favorite drink, eh? ;) Cons There is room to improve the template customization and email segmentation. My business has found success using this tool for both internal and external audiences. I find the greatest value in the analytics features of the tool. This helps my marketing team use data to plan directed communications to employees and customers. Cons The customer service is non-transparent. Campaign Monitor makes many attempts to defer your help requests through pages of FAQs and making it difficult to find their email contact form. The price is competitive. Our company is very careful with money and we chose campaign monitor. Pros We use .NET and there is a .NET libray you can make use of so that you can call campaign monitor API easily. You can create/update/delete subscribers with properties and you can put these properties in the email content if you'd like. There are so much more you can do with campaign monitor and it is powerful email marketing software. Cons I cannot think of what I don't like about campaign monitor. I really appreciate that it has wrapper libraries.
