I'm happy with the product but there are some kinda wonky aspects to it, though again, that could be a result of using it as not necessarily intended. Pros It's very easy to upload email lists and to customize my own email campaigns. Being able to drag a CSV file into the list is such a huge QOL, and I like that Campaign Monitor has it's own templates that I can use to create my own email campaign. Cons I'm not sure if my company uses this feature as intended, but I'm often uploading and deleting users from the list so that we don't hit the cap. As such, lists often run into negative numbers after I delete them. This becomes a problem when I need to use a list that's a bit smaller - Campaign Monitor understandably can't send to a user list it perceives as having negative users. With their help we have managed to keep our campaigns running smoothly and efficiently, allowing us to reach more people than ever before. Additionally, users can benefit from advanced automation features such as triggered messages and personalized emails. With its intuitive interface and efficient support system, Campaign Monitor helps its users maximize results while saving time and money. Cons Despite the company's reputation for providing an efficient and reliable service, I and some of my colleagues have argued that it is a bit pricey for what we actually needed. It has less functionality, but the ease of use and lower cost make this an important part of our email marketing strategy. Pros Very easy to get started with setting up your initial email lists for targeting. Can easily customize lists based on customer attributes Cons Somewhat limited functionality. Pros It has excellent controls over our team's access. It is easy to make up templates and have our team modify them to use. I like the way it saves as you build the template. Great features. Cons The cost for small companies with low volumes is high. We have a large data base that is divided into 40 or more lists in different languages. We send out targeted marketing to selected real estate groups so the volume sent out per month is low. We only use lists appropriate for the property to avoid unsubscriptions but because our total number of subscribers is high, the monthly cost is higher than I believe is fair. It's one of the best compared to other similar platforms. Cons More complex features are not so pro as we would like. If you would like some automation features and connecting to other services, maybe you should look somewhere else. It worked great for what I was doing, and they have spam prevention built into the setup process which I respect. Pros When a company pays attention to design and usability its a clear sign that they care about how well their software works. CampaignMonitor is that kinds of company. I've been using their services for nearly a decade and they never seize to amaze with the quality of their features. CampaignMonitor is very easy to use, both for creation of campaigns and for checking stats. Cons The price tag to check how the email design will look in different email clients. While the features are basic, and we want to see more advanced controls and segmentation features added, it's a stable system. Pros Extremely solid and reliable ESP. Doesn't go down often, and there are minimal issues with deliverability. The features are basic, but solid and there aren't many bugs. Cons There's a strong lack of features. For example, there are no simple ways to send emails to an unopened segment. There's also no way to easily clean/prune inactive email subscribers. May 21, 2020 4.0 If you're looking for an email-only program - i.e. only to create and send emails, and look at email stats - this is fine. But if you're in the market for a true email marketing platform that you use in conjunction with the rest of your marketing tools AND want to view how emails play a part in the customers' journey, then this isn't the platform for you. I'd recommend looking into Hubspot (or something similar), which acts as both a CRM, website, and email tool. Pros The ease of use is by far the best thing about Campaign Monitor. No background in coding or HTML? No problem! This platform lets you create visually-appealing emails with only a few clicks of a button. Looking at the email stats was very simple too. Overall it's a good, simple platform to meet your small business needs. Cons The fact that Campaign Monitor lives outside our system. We had been looking for a simple email marketing tool - which this was. But when we were ready to make the jump into a more robust platform (one that seamlessly integrated with our CRM), it wasn't possible. Campaign Monitor was chosen after reviewing several other vendors. Since we started the launch using campaign monitor, our internal market based revenues have grown over 60%. This is exactly what a CEO hopes to achieve. I would highly recommend using Campaign Monitor for your marketing needs. February 7, 2018 5.0 Pros I love the ease of importing contacts and how easy it is to create a beautiful email with a true WYSIWYG editing tool. Great set of templates to start with. Cool map to watch opens as they happen. Cons I don't have a lot of issues here. I wish that I could see every open but I know that's a limitation on some mobile devices and not CM themselves. I would like to have more flexibility in the email editor (e.g. switch between 1 and two columns in the same block). There are no social cards available in it which makes the email appear unformatted sometimes.3. I am unable to know the number of users working together in the platform. It also does not auto save some of my designs, which makes problems for us sometimes.
