Pros I'll admit I am a little new to this and so it was very easy to use for a first timer and I love the templates it offers. Cons It can get a little pricey for basic features. The customization can also be improved for the price given. Pros 1) Easy to use 2) You can easily customize your messaging inline with the campaign or communication using the available templates. 3) The templates provided give a guide on soft sell and Hard sell marketing communication from looking at the layout 4) The automation process helps you have control over when and how the communication is sent out 5) UX design is simple for a new user to get started. 6) Email receipt is instant from time of sending. Great UI/UX, easy to use, and lots of integrations and templates. Highly recommended! Cons Getting used to the software was really the only small issue some of our team ran into. I was pretty used to Mailchimp and SendGrid so getting used to this wasn't too much of an issue. There is also lots of online tutorials and they have quality customer services as well. It actually makes using Campaign Monitor a pleasure to use. Cons Off the top of my head - nothing! Possibly, during the transition to the new templating system a few years back, it took a little while to get used to it. But that's more a user error. Now I'm so pleased they changed things up. We assumed it was going to take much more time to get the results we got and at a fraction of our estimated price (factoring in time and base cost). Pros Campaign Monitor is incredibly easy to use. From importing and managing addresses to designing the emails themselves, it makes everything as easy as it should be. In fact it has been so easy I felt like I must have missed something when running our first campaign. Fortunately I didn't. You can get up and running in a matter of minutes. Cons I'd love for there to be more templates for the emails. August 29, 2016 5.0 As a new customer, who is also in the process of starting a new business, I ran into a bit of a process issue because I hadn't been able to complete setting up my website. I contacted Campaign Monitor about the issue and received a quick, thorough response on a Sunday evening that addressed my issue and also gave me a list of how to do things. I was very pleased and it made starting Monday morning without worrying about resolution so much easier. Pros Simple to use templates for any kind of email campaign make starting a business so much easier. I spent tons of time trying to create my own from 'free' templates but once I started messing around with apps with which I wasn't familiar it took time I didn't have. At this point in time all I want is a generic template later on I may customize. Cons On the template it wasn't exactly clear how to insert a logo that included a picture with text if the logo wasn't print ready. Review Source PB Patrick B. Pros Although testing on the likes of litmus is great, Campaign monitor gives the ability to test emails EXACTLY. This has been excellent for development and my learning about email code Cons None come to mind, this has been quite easy to use and navigate and has helped with the amending and checking of emails. I'm not a QA expert though so feel I can't comment completely on this. Since I had to juggle around a couple of mailing systems during last years, I was able to get an overview and compare it with competitors. At CampaignMonitor you really get your value in money even if it's simple solution. Cons It does not give you a lot of options to play with - so if you want to add some conditions etc you'll find yourself looking for other solution. What I can say is that it seems to be very easy to use with very good instructions. Also, I sent a question regarding permission to email and opt-in. I received a very helpful answer back within 12 hours explaining exactly what I would need to do to be able to use my current customer list for sending out a monthly newsletter. I am most impressed. It organizes our lists very well and is definitely one of the better solutions out there! Cons The thing I would like to see improved is the interface. Pros It has some nice built in engagement segments (wish they were customizeable), and a decent set of basic integration capabilities. For the price, it does ok. Cons The custom HTML email editing is a pain, you can't actually edit the HTML in the platform, so you've got to constantly upload, test, and re-upload changes. The built in forms are extremely basic, and it's workflows could use a bit of modernization.
