Couldn't be happier with the solution. 100% right choice. I like the roadmap and direction of the company. My business mattered to them when I signed, and it still does today. Service levels are outstanding.

Pros

The word that comes to mind is "Approachable". It is designed with the end user in mind and supports our workflows. It isn't hard to learn and wasn't built for IT or accounting people. It was built for those of us who USE the tools daily. Implementation was very easy. Scary as hell to switch. The team made those fears go away. Smoothest software implementation I have ever been a part of.

Cons

It took a little time to get on the implementation calendar. They said they were booking up. I thought it was a "sales thing" but was true. Totally worth the wait though.

I have worked with AcctVantage for 20 years, and the experience has been great. The product is continually evolving and introducing new, updated features - most of which are at least partially informed by actual customer experience and needs. In all that time, there has never been an issue or need that has arisen that the AcctVantage team wasn't on board to figure out, or build a solution for. We've requested many custom solutions over the years, and those solutions were always designed with care and a focus on helping us figure out how to marry our needs with the best software solution possible (often when there were pitfalls or concerns we'd never have thought of on our own). I've attended trainings at their facility and they've traveled to our facility to put on trainings specific to our company; whatever the situation warranted. As the company has grown, their responsiveness has remained constant, and service tickets and sales requests are handled promptly. The accessibility of the AcctVantage team is far above and beyond the vasy majority of other software companies I've worked with.

Pros

The product is well-suited to a small or medium-sized company; lots of features and options to choose from, but not completely overwhelming or loaded with things that won't ever be used. The AcctVantage team is big enough to have adequate personnel resources to meet customer needs, but small enough that you often deal with the same people and they become familiar with your business and processes.

Cons

No real complaints - or at least none that wouldn't apply to any software you might use (technology breaks, fixes are more complicated and take longer than you'd hope, not every piece of the system fits your business or process needs 100%).

Reasons for choosing AcctVantage ERP

At the time we switched to AcctVantage (in 1996, I believe), they were one of the only companies specifically building this type of software for Apple computers; they had a willingness to work with their customers to continue to build the product out, and that has remained true.

AV was very patient with us. We delayed our install once, and ended up launching in stages, but they were always available when we needed help. We received on-site training at install and phone support whenever we needed it. There is not a better ERP on the market at this price point than AcctVantage.

Pros

It's a tie between the "Update Existing Records" function in Import Wizard, which allows small or subtle changes to multiple records at the same time - a function that SAP can't match at 5x the cost - and the Action Menu options in the product field.

Cons

We had one small issue - we are a transactional retail company, and sometimes need our software to recognize negative quantities. AV is not designed that way, but with some minor customization and a refinement in our process, \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team made it work for us.

We give the team an A rating. Great to work with and always trying to add features that make our job easier. The Easypost and Avatax integration has saved us an enormous amount of time.

Pros

It allows us to import our orders from our website, print production tickets and labels, add shipping costs. When the order is packaged, we enter the credit card payment, & then print an invoice/packing list. They fully integrate with Easypost for online shipping estimates, authorize.net for credit card payments, and Avatax for sales tax payments. The AV team is exceptionally helpful in customizing their software using a scripts. We have that immensely helpful.

Cons

We need to optimize their purchase ordering/inventory system. This is on our pending list for the New Year.

Super helpful and responsive. Issues are taken care of immediately and quickly. Any weird request we've ever had for reporting or new aspects for the system have been taken care of and implemented for us. Amazing people to work with.

Pros

We've been using this system since 2001 and it still operates like the first day we installed it. It never slows down and works flawlessly after over 20 years of data and sales. Super easy to learn and use, we've trained people in less than a week to get up and running on systems.

Cons

Very little. It handles everything we've thrown at it over the past decades and we've moved from all Windows systems to all Mac systems without a single issue over that time

Its been great. Knowing what we know now, almost 15 years later, we would make the same purchase decision all over again.

Pros

There are a lot of built in "out of the box" features. But, like a lot of small businesses, we needed custom help. AcctVantage has been able to help us with our list of wishes.

Cons

Really nothing. There were things we needed, but it was because of how we did things differently in house from others. AcctVantage was always able to help us through those developments.

Reasons for choosing AcctVantage ERP

We chose AcctVantage because of \[sensitive content hidden\] willingness to explore options with us. Like a lot of 40+ year old companies, we started with pen and paper, then very entry level accounting programs. Some of those first available options seemed like they were taking us backwards. When you have your life poured into your business and understand every detail of what made it work, choosing from option A, B, or C may not work for you. \[sensitive content hidden\] helped us develop a very sensical approach to digitally understanding our business. Future decisions are heavily determined on history. If you dont have that information in a format that makes sense it can be very frustrating. \[sensitive content hidden\] would often say "tell me again why you need this?". AcctVantage ERP has been the easiest to use and easiest to learn accounting software. It does not use complex, intimidating accounting terms and yet it has the professional reports, journals and ledgers that are needed daily, monthly and annually. AcctVantage ERP has simplistic ease of use for accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger, with maximum controls. It is Mac compatible and technically user friendly. We are fortunate to have a system that has been cost effective and at the same time, fast with strong audit controls, security, easy importing for payroll data, easy exporting for reporting, always dependable and accurate. AcctVantage ERP Software provides all the “bells and whistles” without the added cost!
