Comments: It is a great product, and I have used ACT, FileMaker Pro, and the likes. I find it superior because it manages every aspect of our business operation - from contact management for sales, production coordination for work flow, and accounting to keep on top of receivables. And, the mobile application has an easily accessible calendar for quick appointment checks. The only negative is that I'm probably utilizing a small percentage of the features and would like to see more quality tutorials on line that would guide us to use new features as they are developed.

Pros: the transparency in seeing what everyone on team is doing (makes me feel more competitive) and keeping track of my goals, appointments, and year on year changes in revenue. I also like the reminders for call backs every day.

Cons: too many steps to make notes, calls, meetings (going back in and saying they happened)...I prefer to make notes about the meeting. I never put a meeting in unless it is going to happen. a bit time consuming. Needs to be simplified a bit.

Overall: it's been a bit challenging with the changes from what I was used to, however slowly getting familiar with the new look and functions.

Comments: The software is very intuitive and makes coordinating the 6 lifestyle publications we run nine times a year a lot easier to put together with our team and hundreds of advertisers. I wish I could clean up some of the drop downs and delete some things but I cannot because they are linked to contracts, but this is a minor issue. Overall we are very pleased with the software and it is always reliable.

Comments: Magazine Manager has become my personal assistant that I can not replace. MM has helped me to increase my productivity, track my productivity and has helped me to be more organized and on top of my game. The only thing that I would like to see is a bit more speed when pulling my sales reports.

Comments: Working on the editorial side of the magazine business, I don't use The Magazine Manager on a daily basis, but when I do, it's an invaluable tool for finding contacts. Say our editorial team is writing a piece on interior design. I can easily access a directory of local designers my company has worked with by searching the design category. From each entry I can then grab a contact name, phone number and email for a source my company already has a relationship with. On the flip side, I can also see if a source we are considering skipped payment on an advertisement. In the notes section, sales reps will input information about whether someone is hard to get ahold of or if they are difficult to work with. This helps us make sure we are working in sync with the sales team and that we aren't wasting our time!
