Pros ActivityHD is extremely robust and provides accurate, up to the second reporting. Cons Because the software is so flexible and robust, the processes are not always the most straight forward. December 12, 2024 5.0 My overall experience with ActivityHD has been positive. I have used various programs throughout my career including SAP, IFS, & JDEdwards. I would rank ActivityHD up there with them all for functionality and in some areas it is superior. Pros I like the availability and promptness of the support that is offered. Anytime we have an issue I can always depend on it being resolved quickly. Cons My biggest issue with ActivityHD is that I am constantly getting disconnected. I don't know if that is an issue with our local servers or an issue with ActivityHD. But it is very frustrating when you are in the middle of something and you get disconnected from the program. Including asset management, payroll, and bank rec. It ties back to the General Ledger account codes and is very easy to manipulate. If I have a question, the customer support is always quick to answer and teach at the same time. Cons It is a process learning all the ins and outs. Not as easy to use as other programs. Controller Entertainment Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Accounting Software Made for ALL Users" February 13, 2020 5.0 We have been with the ActivityHD family of companies for over 20 years, back when they were a DOS based software. The full packages is unmatched. We currently use all packages that the software offers, and run multiple companies in the software. Our payroll has been cut down from 2 days to 3 hours; I can now monitor our sales department through the contracts package; bank recs take minutes, not hours. I also rely on the security features that ActivityHD offers. Users can be restricted to certain packages, and then only limited parts inside that package. You never have to worry about a random user seeing payroll data, or any other sensitive information. ActivityHD is also pairing with other companies and providers to add addition services - like timekeeping and employee on-boarding - that integrates directly into the software. They are on the cutting edge of technology but keep a customer service level that is second to none. Pros ActivityHD is the most comprehensive accounting package out there. It is built for all aspects of your business, not just payroll, or general ledger. The ability to run purchase orders and contracts directly through the software and feed into your accounting suite is a game changer for the industry. The software is also easy enough for an entry level bookkeeper (or non-accounting staff) but offers reporting and features that the most demanding controller or CEO will find exceeds expectations. The software is also fully custom, allowing you to use a single piece, or the entire package. This is not an off-the-shelf purchase and you never hear from the company. From the sale, to the implementation, and to the random issues you have throughout the year, you are in constant contact with the ActivityHD team, and they become an extension of your business, and in some cases, valued friends. Cons I don't have any complaints - the programmers are open to any suggestion you have about the software, and are constantly upgrading based on those requests. Review Source JW Judy W. Pros My most favorite thing about Activity is the imports, City Bank has lots of extra benefits and the imports make my job so much easier. Not to mention as large as we are we need something that makes us more efficient, and the large amount of information that goes into each payroll the imports helps with errors. Second favorite thing is the support Activity gives you, I never have to wait long when there is a problem on payroll and I need assistant. they always go beyond the call of duty to take care of you and a very timely manor. They are always very kind and they never make feel uneducated. Cons Leave Balance, I don't like that when swipeclock goes into payroll it allows a negative balance. There is a filter we have to use after each payroll to take care of negative balances. I also wish that we could get our swipeclock leave balance to be more like our payroll portal. Activity support group has been wonderful at helping us come up with ideas as swipeclock never had a leave balance before, with the help of Activity we now have one and our employees love it more so then the payroll portal. Pros This system is very user friendly. Almost any problem or process issue I have thrown at Nqativ they have been able to solve inside their software. They have set up mutiple security features to allow for control implementation within the software as well as provide documentation to auditors for tracking. The system set up is in a format that the average user can understand and a more experienced user can make cahnges on their own as well. I think the best quality of the software is the customer support. Nqativ staff is available day or night and they make me feel as though every one of my issues is a priority not a nuisance. They have consistantly provided the type of support that makes this software invaluable to the end user. Cons The software is extremely flexible. This is a very good thing, but at times can be difficult for Nqativ to maintain all the variations. However, they are completely in tune with all of their sites. Review Source CM Carla M. The GL was installed in 2005 and subsquent installation of AP in 2006 and AR in 2009. We have been customers since 1988 using the prior software application. Great customer service! Pros There are many pros, but to name a few: Activity GL rollup reporting capabilities saved me hours of manually updating financial statements each month. Can create comparative reports for management rather easily. Exporting data to spreadsheets is easy and fast - a "must-have" for year-end audit schedule preparation. I cannot say enough about their support team, who absolutely the best I have ever worked with The system is very user-friendly, and there are numerous ways to find data through their filter capabilities. The ability to export data directly into Excel is outstanding compared to other ERP systems. The ability to create new set of books and accounts is also seamless and efficient. The training proved by \[sensitive content hidden\] has been exceptional. Her knowledge of the system and patience throughout the training process went far beyond my expectations. You can immediately tell when some genuinely loves what they do, and \[sensitive content hidden\] and her team are truly a joy to work with. Pros One of the things I love the most about ActivityHD is their support team. Their support team is the best I have ever worked with. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always on top of their game. Another feature I really appreciate is their BOT automation tool. This automation has saved me a tremendous amount of time entering payables and receivable. This type of automation is truly priceless. This is also followed up by their chargeback feature, which allows me to enter an invoice once and then creates a receivable while also entering the payable for related entities. That functionality alone has brought me to tears because it is a game changer for chargebacks. The time it has saved me is crazy. Cons It is not a big issue, but there can be quite a bit of click, click, click to navigate where you need to go. That said, I would not consider it a con because the over features and efficiencies the system provides far outweigh that very small inconvenience. Especially when labor and staffing creates their challenges and accuracy issues! Pros Love the extra GL feature in AP and AR that eliminates the need for journal entries! Allowing entities to either defer their income and expenses and post them into the period of revenue/expenses without revisiting the transaction at a later date! Cons Can't really think of anything specific that Activity does not meet my needs! The help tools and webinars are great but for the basic users, the training tools are a bit complicated. Highly recommend, especially for anyone using the Tessitura software. Cons Not many cons. It can be overwhelming at first if you're not familiar with this type of software. However, there is no question too basic for the support team to answer. They break down any confusion you may experience in a way that is helpful, constructive, and in a way that doesn't make you feel dumb for not understanding. If they don't know how to fix something, they will work to figure it out. Cons The product is not as snazzy looking as some other platforms, but the functionality makes up for that.
