Highly recommended. Pros This software is ideal for anyone to go paperless and green. You customize employee's and setup various of functions so that all the user's information is online. Cons Software can have connection problems to the server. Usually network issues or traffic. Also see instances where scanning software gets caught up and system can not operate. Pros The opportunities for this system are endless. But trying to learn it and then train staff (including physicians and staff are just too much. Pros I like that templates and smart phrases can be created which allows for documentation to be more efficient. I also like the available messaging between providers and patients. The ability to see the entire patient history, including imaging, allows for more a seamless approach to patient care. Cons Scheduling requires too many steps. I have some instances where my documentation disappears and I have to redo everything. This occurs more often when I am working remotely. An auto-save feature would be nice. Pros What I like most about using epic is that it is functional can be linked to multiple different programs for continuity of care and can be customizable based on your position and what you need to use the program for. Cons I do not like the updates that I’ve happened to certain charting areas making it harder to document ADLs and having to wrench in different sections that get removed during updates. RN Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Documentation made Easy" September 5, 2019 5.0 Pros I love the way it allows every area in the hospital to work together.You can see what's going on in the ED, especially if you have empty beds and are waiting on admissions.Charting by exemption, no long progress notes, a lot is point and click.Med passes ate seamless we used to have a separate program for meds.This is so much easiet.You can also see records from other facilities that use the programme. Pros I like Epic because you are able to access records form other facilities that use the EHR. This makes it easier and more efficient to be able to take of the patients Cons There are too many clicks to get to some of the items that are needed for certain things. September 22, 2017 5.0 Pros The ability to click pre determined options in patient's assessments makes assessments much quicker. Cons The iv volumes do not auto populate into the Intake and output flow sheets, it is time consuming to go back and forth to the flow sheets to add these volumes in. When you click to finish infusion it should auto populate into the flow sheet and if for some reason the patient received a different volume then you could go in and change it. Pros The software is easy to access by the provider who emails me updates and reminders of appointments. Cons It is difficult to access on your mobile device.
