Cons The con is that the reporting tools can be a bit challenging. I found the construction in process section was challenging to use. Would recommend to other users. Pros It is user friendly and quite easy to use. I can add new assets quickly. Our fixed asset process is fairly simple so didn't want to pay an extravagant price for a fixed asset program. This is the only program I could find that met our needs at a good price point. Cons It was nice that it has a way to partially dispose of an asset, but when I do this the asset does not show up correctly on the reports. I am the only one using this software and that will continue as well. Pros The ease of updating the new months fixed assets to the new depreciation report used in Sambatek's gl. Also, the cost is very affordable which I appreciate. Cons The data entry of the new assets sometimes get a bit clunky when I forget to enter a field correctly, but once I get back on track, it goes smoothly again. July 22, 2025 4.0 Overall, the experience was very good. It is user-friendly. If you enter something incorrectly, you are able to clear and recalculate the depreciation. Pros It was easy to import all of the assets. Anytime, I reached out to technical support, they were able to help me and resolve the issue. Cons When I was not on the most current version of the program, depreciation was not calculated correctly. I reached out to support, and they easily identified the problem. I love how you can attach pictures and documents to the asset cards to keep all info in one place. Cons We have only been using Fixed Asset Pro for a few months, and I haven't found any cons yet. Now when I send reports to co-workers, it's on one page, and I can create various types of reports depending on who my audience is. Pros Using Fixed Asset Pro is very easy. The set-up instructions were easy to follow. Keeping track of assets is a lot more efficient than using a spreadsheet. Cons The reports can be limited, but I have had the program for only a few months. With time, I'm sure I be able to create the reports that I need. I also found its reporting capabilities to be extensive and easy to customize to my needs. Pros The system is very easy to use with minimal training. Importing assets was simple and exception reporting easy to understand. Cons I have not found any cons with the product, but I am only using it for the calculation depreciation for my fixed assets. I have not used the asset tracking features so I cannot comment on that functionality. Tech support always makes me feel stupid. The errors in calculating depreciation mean we always have to manipulate the depreciation reports for tax reporting. Pros That it can handle the volume of assets we have. That it can easily be downloaded into excel for sorting. They have worked hard to improve the software and usability each year. Cons The formulas don't always work correctly. If I have a problem and email to customer service, I never got a reply back. The chat works better but only for small problem. For bigger problem where I need to send a file, it doesn't work. Overall, customer service is a thumb down. Pros It's user friendly and the software works. Cons Unable to use calendar year. My FA pro is from 10/01/XX to 09/30/XX. I'm unable to use calendar year. Per \[sensitive content hidden\], it was probably because the 1st asset was in September. It still did not make sense to me but I had to go along since my assets only reconciled if I use the recommended date. The same goes with projection report. I'm unable to generate projection report based on calendar year. As for the year starting spanning Oct-Sept, that is the normal setting if that reflects your reporting year and all reports will follow that. If you are actually on a Calendar Year Jan-Dec, you can change that in the Company Setup. If you do that, you need to enter the opening Prior Accumulated as of the Jan start date. We were in need of a new F/A program, and this provided and great solution at a good price. Pros The price! The relative ease of transferring assets from our old program into the new one. Support has always been very responsive with answers to questions. Cons There is not a 'year-end' close-out procedure that locks in the numbers once the tax return in completed. Our old system allowed an asset title to be entered without all the book / tax values to be entered. This allowed our office personnel to enter an asset when it came in the door without having to fill in all the blanks. Then I could fill in the rest of the info when it came across my desk. I miss that feature. I think it is good for smaller companies to medium companies, where one or two people use the program. Pros It is inexpensive, and does all the accounting tasks you need it to do. Love that you can download all the assets in various formats to excel. Support staff is responsive and helpful. It gets the job done. Cons Files uploaded are not stored for global use, only locally, so nobody can see uploads. Rollforward reports are only available for years, you can't choose your periods. You can't go back past one year prior and do analysis. Also difficult database management because we use onedrive and sometimes it creates multiple versions of the file, so you have to be careful there. Each time there is an update, there are new and improved features that make the software easier to use. It also helps that the support team has been professional and respond back in a timely manner anytime a question or issue arises. Pros A great software for my company's small list of fixed assets. It has all of the reports I need for the accounting monthly reporting. The human error is significantly lower since all calculations are being generated in the software (no more trying to do complicated excel formulas). Cons The display isn't the best user friendly when adding a new fixed asset. Some of the fields could easily be overlooked, which can cause some errors of missing locations or account names.
