I like the look and feel of it. I like the Chrome widget and how you can just pop it in and out of view while multitasking. I like the feature of timing my activity, although I don't use it. It's easy to use: simply pick a category and a subcategory, and supply with commentary as needed. Prior to helping setup Tick at our company, we were using inefficient Google Spreadsheets to manually track time, which lead to a lot of overhead by employees and accounting. Switching to Tick enabled us to increase efficiency for everyone, by allowing us to quickly allocate time to the correct projects and tasks, as well as allowing easy manipulation of the data by the accounting department. November 28, 2017 4.0 Tick helps us identify projects that are taking too much of the team's time. It also gives a benchmark to measure profitability. Pros I love the control of and granular reports that can be generated to analyze the data. Our company is now able to analyze trends and determine areas of improvement by task. Cons It is a pain to input projects one-by-one for each new client we add to the system. It would also be nice to custom the monthly time tracking into multiple buckets based on user attribute. Time can be recorded in any manner, and corrections/edits are easily made. Pros Integration with other collaborative platforms, such as Basecamp. I haven't had the need to contact customer support so I cannot comment on that, but overall, it make the experience of logging / tracking time less painful. I have used a ton of time keeping systems to support project management and organization of my team and the issue with most of them was that they weren't easy to use and had terrible user experience; which means my team didn't use it. With Tick my team is super consistent because not only is the web interface clean and easy the chrome extension is a life saver. All in all solid application Pros Very clean, easy to use and tons of mobile applications Cons Reporting is not super easy to work with. January 20, 2017 4.0 Ive been using tick for about 6 months and I believe that its one of the best app in it's field. The UX is great. Even through the UI is clean, it is not a great UI and can be further improved to boost the user experience. I hope to see an update In the webapp where on selecting a day of the week, the project that is mostly used will be selected by default so that one can quickly select a task regarding the selected project and continue entering hours. It's so easy to track my time when I have to do it click at the top of the screen Cons I really wish that you could copy tasks from archived projects. It's a real pain to put them in new all the time when I know there is an archived project that has all the tasks I want. It would be great if I could track time straight from a Basecamp task or Trello card. Pros It's very easy to use. I use the chrome extension so I always have it available. Cons Even though it's easy to use, I still find it difficult to track time throughout the day. If it had a more integrated solution for other apps like Basecamp, it might be better. Tick makes it so easy to help log hours - made life so much easier! Everyone should use this! Pros I like how it has made logging hours so much easier. I do not need to litter my desk with sticky notes anymore - it is all in one place. Also, the option of seeing the report and then just your timecard is awesome. Cons Sometimes the buckets get a bit confusing but we are working on it. It helped me a lot! Pros It' s great how you can switch between projects and run a timer for each. The import functions make it a great asset if paired with other tools like basecamp or wrike. Cons some functions could be implemented better and the interface is not the simplest. If you want something with a lower learning curve you'll probably find Mavenlink to be a better option. I like that I can set a timer and move away from the site/app. Cons Your app for Mac seems to malfunction at times.
