Tick allows us to directly charge hours by fund (also called "class" in QBs and called "project" in Tick). As a small government agency with multiple funding streams, this results in accurate time & effort recording, and allows us to accurately charge our funding streams directly. Plus, the system could not be easier! It's deceivingly simple, but has been extremely helpful to us.

We used tick to track our project hours / cost. It was important to us being a startup to have a quick and easy tool to use, that is cost effective. Tick was easy to set up and use, we think it's a great product for what it was intended to do. A slight improvement could be to make the categories sticky, so when switch days the user doesn't have to re-select the categories again. This would have made it 5 stars, versus 4. I would recommend trying Tick before you opt for some large expensive tool that requires hours of learning overhead just to use it. Tick just might suit your needs and save you valuable time.

Category Tabs aren't sticky when logging multiple days in a row....wasted time to re-select them.

We use it to track time and make sure jobs stay on budget, we have built and in house tool for logging and where able to develop an API for our tool to seamlessly post clocked time to TICK.

Access to all past job logs

Sometimes the server can be really slow to post time manually

Keeping track of project time so i can tell if projects are running over or under is the best. helps to show the large discrepancies that some clients have in required time in comparison to others.

Pros

General ease of use, browser plug in, and ability to assign to projects the time you have are the best features. was very easy to start using in the office.

Cons

Lack of templates or ability to remind regarding time. Hopefully i have overlooked those features. ways to start using in the business and rollout features would also be desired. Also integrations with other programs would be great.

It's a great productivity measure. Especially if you're working in an agency environment where you're responsible for various clients.

Pros

I like that I have the option to either start the timer when I commence a project, or manually enter it. At times it's hard to remember to start the timer so the manual function makes it easy to go back and add time entries. I also like the Basecamp integration. It saves time and serves as a to-do list.

Cons

My only complaint would be that sometimes, projects from Basecamp do not transfer to the dropdown menu, even after you refresh it.

It's easy to use and we're able to find the right time to match with the right project that we're working on.

Sometimes it can be hard to load and find the correct project if it's not sorted properly. Sometimes it also times out.

We needed a way for our designers to be more cognizant of the expectations for how much time they should be spending on each project. Tick helped us solve that with the "vs. budget" feature in its time tracking.

Pros

I love using Tick for tracking time on projects; the "vs. budget" feature is incredibly useful in helping maintain profitability. And having an Apple Watch app makes it even more convenient to use.

Cons

Honestly, I wish the Mac application interface was a little more compact. My screen real estate is important to me, and there's just a lot of space that could be tightened up.

Pros

Tick is an all in one solution. What I like most is the fact that it does everything I need it to, without the need to tie into some huge and expensive ecosystem. The Chrome extension really pushes it above the crowd. No need to open other windows, or an application - my timer and tasks are always right there.

Cons

I can't think of anything I dislike or what I'd describe as being the least fond of. For anyone who needs to add a time tracking tool for boosting accountability and productivity, I'd say start with Tick.

Pros

It's easy to use, options are clear, selecting an option and entering time is quick and easy. Pulling reports for specific times is easy.

Cons

Drop-down menus aren't always the easiest type when you want to explore all options. I do like that you can search through them quickly for an option you regularly use.

1\. Great tool. 2. Makes capturing hours, tasks, and other details easy. 3. It's fast. 4. Prepares clear time sheet logs. Suggestion: 1. It would be really helpful if Tick has a built in signature tool because all time sheets sent across in the company require a signature and I currently use BullZip PDF Printer to merge my signature, done separately, after exporting the PDF from Tick.
