It's nice that it's a shared platform, easy to copy the templates for reuse, easy to access and update. Pros Very easy to access, I like the new layout where all of your available sheets are easy to find/see in the drop down menu. Has simple navigation, rarely have issues with log-in. Cons The copy/paste function is always a problem. I'll copy something from one cell, and do CTRL+V to paste, and it will paste whatever I last copied on my desktop, not the material that was in the . I find this extremely annoying because if I do cut rather than copy, I will lose whatever I had previously typed into the cell. I also find that sometimes you will open a sheet with a lot of groups (+) and they won't be there, all the lines will just be showing. I have searched for where you can reset/reinstate the filters without success. I'm a very advanced user of all Microsoft products and many online platforms, so if this is a problem for me I know it is likely happening to others. Review Source AC Alex C. Most other softwares require the user to follow the system they have designed. For me, I like the ability to create my own system with the tools provided. Pros Ability to customize to meet specific needs / communicate between sheets / Organize data & control visibility Cons Is not able to link up with quickbooks or similar software. Creating or copying a sheet over is simple, and the ability to upload/export sheets to excel is fantastic. Cons Sometimes it can be a bit slow when trying to load sheets up. February 26, 2018 3.0 It helps manage job lists for multiple team members but it's expensive for using it just for that. I'd recommend google docs instead or take advantage of other features that it has to offer in order to make it worth the money. Pros I liked the simplicity of being able to use this as a secure, company-wide living job list. We've since outgrown it and switched to a more robust platform. I know several small freelance operations who use it still for job management lists and updates. Cons At least in my experience, I was unable to have multiple users updating a spreadsheet at the same time without items getting jumbled. It get super annoying to always have to hit refresh first, hurry up and make my changes, hit save, and then let everyone else know I was out of the file. In this aspect, google sheets has them beat. Cons You cannot grab a document from an email and "drop" it into . I typically will drag the doc to my desktop. Then drag if from the desktop to Smartsheet, then delete it off my desktop.
