Saves me so much time, makes me so much more organized then I ever could be without it. A must have for camp management. Pros First, the customer service is just incredible. The software is comprehensive and intuitive. I can generate reports in minutes that used to take hours or even days. The customer service representatives actually read and respond to help tickets in a timely manner. That does not always happen with other programs. The training sessions are extremely helpful. October 2, 2018 5.0 When I had to be a part of creating the database for our camp I was completely lost. Technology is not my thing. But my representative was incredibly patient and kind and somehow I muddled thru. It didn't take me long before I realized that because I created the database I understood it. I could teach others. I could answer most questions. And when I can't answer a question-Campminder is a phone call away. I never spoken to anyone who was rude or condescending. My job is easier, I have more information at my fingertips and I couldn't be happier that we switched to this program! Pros Complicated lists are easy to create Everything is in one database (don't need to call the bookkeeper!) Pros I can keep up on all the data I need to know, and leave it up to access offline if I need that too. Once you know what you're doing, it'll never let you down. Cons We keep too much old data on there and it's hard to find out what's recent because it's not super clearly labelled. You have to know your way around. It allows us to efficiently keep track of our campers through the whole process from signing up, to attending camp, to followup. Cons I have no major issues with this software package. Every time I have a question, they are helpful, kind, and easy to work with. Cons I have found the effective date versus post date on the financial ledger to be difficult to use. For example, when you send billing statements, you can only do that for effective date, but sometimes I wish I could also do it for post date. Review Source MM Maya M. Pros I like the clean pretty graphics and ease of use. The software isn't cumbersome and seemed to make signing up for camp less painful despite all the paperwork and uploads that had to happen. Cons Uploading some PDFs might have been easier through my computer/phone. I needed some time to figure it out. I also could not remember it for the next year. Also a pickup/dropoff section for carpooling was awkward to use. Our families love it! Cons Our Accounting department is having difficulty with financial reports and billing. We would like to have the same participant be able to register for multiple programs throughout the year and not have it effect their overall bill. Pros It keeps track of the all the paperwork. Easy upload of documents Streamline Cons Not everyone has access to it but you cannot provide people with a device or computer to access the software. October 2, 2018 5.0 As mentioned before, CampMinder covers most all of our needs with applications and forms from our families and staff. The customer support is excellent as well. Not a long wait to talk with someone live most any time, and you can also fill out tickets for support online. Pros CampMinder takes care of most of our needs seamlessly. From camper and staff applications to medical forms (and other forms), to skill signups, it does it all! There are even options we don't use, since we are owned by a parent company, but it will do things like background checks for your staff. Cons It doesn't yet do other events well, other than summer camp. For example, we have a Father & Son event, a Mother & Daughter event, and a Family Camp event, and although CampMinder has provided us a workaround so that we can schedule those events through CampMinder, it is not a perfect interface. We're exciting to use the application process this year, as we joined campminder too late in our season to fully utilize it. We're also looking into expanding for our campers, too, because we've had such success with it for staffing purposes! Pros CampMinder is easy to pick up and has lots of functionality. It's really geared towards camps and similar programs, so it makes it easy to track everything from registrations to staff to medical records. Anytime I have any issue or question the issue will definitely be resolved before the end of the day, more than likely before the end of the hour. Almost never hold times on the phone.
