### "Why we chose CampMinder"

Pros

Our camp is a safety camp. It is a four week day camp. In our old system, a lot of the features we have in were in separate places. In CampMinder, at the initial screen, I can identify the camper, identifying characteristics, parent info and so much more. All of my reporting is in one area and student placement in the individual classroom is more simplified. We are enjoying discovering all of the things CampMinder can do!

Cons

The only downside is that since we are new users, discovering all of the nuances of the application.

### "We LOVE CampMinder!"

I wish every business was more like - truly motivated by the community they serve, constantly seeking to improve and build on an already great product, and truly kind and invested in the work we do.

Pros

is the perfect solution for our camp - it let's us work more efficiently and focus more on our campers than paperwork! The thing I love most about this company, is that they are constantly updating, growing, and changing to stay current with the trends in our industry. Their customer service is incredible - I can't tell you how many times I've called with a crazy request or question, and they have a solution.

Cons

Our camp has some very specific needs that don't fall into some of the traditional models they provide. That being said, the customization features of their forms and modules allows us to create a that is tailored to our specific needs. They were incredibly helpful in the process of determining how the software could best fit our exact needs.

I wish every company had the customer service skills that does. They are always very quick with any inquiries and are constantly taking feedback and using it to improve their platform.

Pros

is extremely user friendly and has completely revolutionized my job. We were able to do away with 1,000s of paper forms and Excel sheets and have all of our camper and staff information all in 1 database. From camper registration, forms, staff hiring, and camper bunking, everyone in our organization has greatly benefited from CampMinder. Our parents love how much simpler it is to register, fill out forms, and view summertime photos of their campers all in the same system as well.

Cons

The fundraising section leaves a lot to be desired, but is still helpful for sharing information between our staff.

I like that I have used to create "online" staff folders, ease of onboarding. I so appreciate the support and quick follow through.

Cons

I wish: -That It had an open API and able to to "talk" to other platforms, ie. DocuSign -It had the ability to accept "real signatures" for government issued forms. -I knew all the things can do....is there a table of contents

Pros

I love what it does in terms of organizational management. We have used three different programs over the past 15 years and it has handled it has worked the best. They work closely with you on customizing your needs and making sure that you are set up to use it best for your site.

Cons

The photo plug in has much to be desired. It works but often struggles. It would also be great if they could build in a plug in that res'ed down the pictures for camps that have slow internet on site. Their company is great and customer service is awesome when you can get them on the phone. We started with them pretty early on and as they have grown, it has been harder to get a hold of support.

### "Great Camp software"

has allowed us to streamline our registration process and enabled us to have so much access to information via the various reports that we can run through the system. The software has allowed us to better track how students find out about us and follow up on leads and inquiries. We are able to track the workload and enrollment numbers at any time.

Pros

is very user-friendly and has all the features needed for effective enrollment management. From being able to run enrollment reports, to be able to see if a parent opened and read an email, to allow parents to register their child for camp and make payments online at their convenience. CampMinder has helped our organization bring our enrollment process to the 21 century. Before getting CampMinder we were still registering students via a paper system. CampMinder has allowed us to have access to so much more information at our fingertips.

Cons

There is no adult module and adults have to register themselves as children. Our adult students do not like having to use a workaround to register online. However, our adult students still love that they can sign up online at their convenience and make payments. Although this is what I like least about the software, is working on an adult module at the moment and it is currently in Beta testing. Our adult students will be thrilled when this module is available to them.

We have realized the benefits of being able to have organized communication, records of our campers, and a system for parents to use to apply and continue with their child's enrollment!

Pros

I love how we are able to use the tag system to organize our campers effectively. It works great for what our program is trying to accomplish. I love how we can organize our data, too.

Cons

has not always been the easiest for our staff to learn how to use. I wish that there were ways to make it easier for new users!

I love this product and company. Help and training is fast and easy. Employees are friendly and responsive. In summary; has changed my life!

Pros

When we switched to we were able to consolidate at least 5 different products. CampMinder handles camper registrations with wait-lists, staff applications with background checks. Being able to upload forms and documents has made it easier for us and for the parents. Families can order one-way emails, photos, labels and more. I can create just about any report I need. But I think the one thing that changed my world more than anything is how the wait-list works.

Cons

It is a small thing, but there are no capacities on additional options. I have to watch our horseback riding add-on and manually turn it off when it is full. This causes me stress because it could overbook.

Camp Minder has proven to be a good way to manage camp enrollments, providing payment flexibility to our camp families. Our Camp Directors appreciate the ability to set up bunk plans, track medical and other data, and create custom reports that fit their needs. The staff at is attentive to our needs, and provide prompt replies when questions arise.

Pros

Ease of use for Camp Directors in managing/scheduling camp enrollment. Some flexibility in reporting capabilities. Ability to perform monthly payments electronically. Ability to offer various payment terms.

Cons

Financial portion of the system is not very robust. Minimal amount of financial reports available. When exporting data to Excel, all sessions being attended by one child dump into one column. Could separate this within Excel; however, number of additional columns needed is not consistent.

It has been phenomenal!

Pros

Prior to we had constant complaints from parents about our registration process. More times than not, they would end up calling us to register by phone. Our parents love the streamlined process, the features being all in one place from forms/documents to photos, and options for different payment plans. Our camp fills every year and this would not have been possible without CM. Do you have an amazing program but awful registration process? CampMinder is for you! Our Directors LOVE and rely upon the accessible and extremely helpful customer service and data-ops team. This customer service experience is simply unparalleled.

Cons

I would love to see: -More options for gender -Simply capacity limits for additional options -Better photo options

support is amazing. Any time I've ever called to ask questions, the staff are knowledgable and friendly. Even if they can't help me do the exact thing I want to do, they give me alternatives that are just as effective.

Pros

I like the overall organization and setup of . I also think that most features are very flexible and allow you to personalize the options as much as you want. Running reports is specific and adaptable so that you can get the exact information you want each time.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve. Some of the features are not able to be personalized, which really hinders the reports features. For example, running reports on activities/electives preferences only gives you a specific set of information to sort by. I also think there could be improvements with the scheduling feature.

Going on my 3rd year of using - it's easy to pick it right back up. CampMinder offers numerous options and features I feel other EMR's should adopt.

Pros

\-Extremely easy to use with a user-friendly interface -Remote accessibility -Organized layout to keep all necessary information easily accessible. -Multiple options for printing out various lists/forms

Cons

\-No autosave- Occasionally after entering camper data from the nurse's end if you forget to click the "Save" button, everything you entered may be lost. Ex: entering camper meds.

's exceptional customer experience is what stands out to me the most when I think of my overall experience. From the first time I started working with CM and their representatives I felt a genuine care for my program and consider CampMinder a big part of my extended camp family.

Pros

I loved that a software was created by people who were as committed to camp as those who spend their days preparing for each summer. The software itself is great and just continues to get better. Not every camp is for everyone but is great for every camp. CampMinder feels like part of our camp family. Every member of the CM team goes above and beyond to help with whatever our needs are.

Cons

I can't schedule emails - that is my biggest complaint at this time.

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with because of how responsive they are to customer feedback. As stated above, the consistency with which they seem to upgrade and fine tune the operational aspects of the program says a lot about them as a company. Every year it gets better or smarter. This is helpful and something that I've come to expect from them now. That there will always be a new feature or two to learn each new season.

Pros

For us in the office the program is great. Easy to use report features, for custom information and camper issues, etc. I get quite a bit of feedback from parents that they find the system easy to use as well which is important. I love that the folks in charge are consistently working to improve all aspects of the system.

Cons

It doesn't allow us to register our volunteers each week so they are "in the system". It is nice to have all participants print on the same documents and in one place for insurance and other record keeping. I keep working on ways around it...and will figure it out someday.

We are able to manage our Camper, Parent, Staff and Alumni information in one database, with effortless transitions year-to-year. Our payment portal is simple and effective, and our online registrations have increased every camp season since signing on with .

Pros

Ease of use for people of all technical abilities. End user experience is very intuitive, and the flow of information allows for easy reporting and communication across user groups.

Cons

We have a very large camp, 72 sessions, 1296 programs, 1500 campers and 300 staff. The system seems to slow down during peak usage, and during peak season. It's understandable based on our size, but it is cumbersome at times.

The benefit of for me happens when I need something or a question answered, or need support there is ALWAYS such a fabulous, knowledgeable person that will respond and help me find a great work around and answer! I really could not be as efficient without CampMinder. It supports every aspect of camp and makes all things smooth for parents, campers, and the camp office. Amazing platform.

Pros

What is most helpful is that has everything you need to make your camp office successful. It includes billing and invoicing, finances, camper information, reports, and so many other features to support your camp in all of your camp work!

Cons

At times there are forms that may not be customized, but is always ready with options and a solution!

We had some challenges with accrual accounting but have developled a plan that works, I know this is in the works to change this year. If it works for us it will cut down on the number of programs becuase I have to make one for June and one for July. I have very much enjoyed working with for the years we have had it.

Pros

The ability to see the customer record and log in as if I was them. The ability to send invoices easily by clicking and dragging them to an email Sending out mass emails to parents and selecting the group you want to send it to. Finding out all the things you can do that you had no idea, there are so many fields that I have not clue are out that and will help with reporting CUSTOMER SERVCIE I ALWAYS get great help when I send in tickets. I love dealing with your team of experts.

Cons

I would like a better way to track camper retention, canned reports that would report out on each camper in each program even if the camper is coming twice. Instead of adding the sessions to a feild in the report. I do the overall reports not camp specific and to run each session at each camp to get the total number of campers is not reasonable. I have had a custom report developed that works great but it would be nice to pull this directly from the system.

Overall it has been extremely positive. I have always been very happy with their support services in particular. The support staff actually sat down with us and has done calls with us to go through features and how to accomplish certain tasks. The parents don't seem to struggle with it very much which at the end of the day is really what matters to us.

Pros

They have a lot of useful and diverse features. The staff support has been excellent. They are constantly upgrading their product. They use a feedback tool to collect a pool of user feedback and data to make updates rather than just deciding what to do from within. They are consumer minded. They provide support directly to our clients if needed.

Cons

It wasn't particularly easy to learn to use. I have to do a repeat training every year for my staff because they have a hard time remembering features- it is not exactly natural flow. Sometimes it is very inflexible.

Easy to use, friendly interface to keep all camper & lead information in one place Customer service is very quick to respond and friendly, easy to use help ticketing system, including on-boarding & training videos

Cons

Needs some extra work to incorporate custom fields and questions for your specific camp has been slow to accommodate customizations for our Campminder portal (i.e. custom tracking and analytics)

I have had a wonderful experience with . They were very helpful when I first signed on with them. They helped me tremendously setting up my first season and continue to help me with any issues that come up.

Pros

I love how user friendly the software is. is very inviting by it's colorful easy to read displays.

Cons

I wish each camper had it's own payment plan instead of the entire family connected to one plan. I have many families that pay with different credit cards and it would be nice to be able to run them with the draft instead of manually charging them each month.
