Pros: The FranConnect application is all you need to manage the franchise development function. It is clear as you use the system, that all the functionality you need to manage your franchise development efforts has been built in. The system accepts leads from outside franchise consultant systems reducing the amount of manual entry required. The reporting system is robust. The email drip component of the application is loaded with functionality though at times, can be a bit confusing. However, once you get used to the campaign module, you're able to get things done quickly. Overall, a lot of capabilities in a relatively user-friendly system.

Cons: The dislikes are few. The primary dislike is that at times, the user has to request additional help when first using some of the functionality of the system. Once you get a better sense of how specific tasks are done, the system becomes much easier to navigate. FranConnect bridges the gap with excellent technical support especially during the implementation stage. We worked with two customer reps. and both were extremely knowledgeable, very responsive and really knew their stuff.

Overall: Essentially, our organization is using the FranConnect application to run our franchise development function. We have multiple, geographically dispersed franchise development professionals utilizing the system to manage their day-to-day activities. The FranConnect system allows for centrally managed controls while providing all the functionality franchise development professionals require to help candidates make informed decisions. The mobile app is pretty cool too!

Pros: Any time I needed help figuring out how to do something or if it was even possibly to do something in the system, the response time from customer service is fast and friendly. Sometimes they even call me direct so it is nice to talk to a live person when you need help.

Cons: I have really delved into the back end of the software functionality and have played around with settings and making the most of the software. More often than not, there are features we wish we could add or change to make the software much more user friendly or work for our particular business needs and 9/10 times I am told the software cannot do what we need it to do and they have no plans to make the change, even if it is something that really needs to be changed for all users to make it better. I wish they were more open to developing the software further. For example, in the Support module, it is extremely basic. You can only add one attachment to a ticket, which causes a ton of issues with our franchisees and creates more work for all. You also can only see the overall ticket time-- not an individual breakdown of how much time was spent at each department.

Pros: FranConnect Sales Module is a great CRM for keeping track of franchisee leads, and potential franchise owners. The reporting system is robust. Overall, a lot of capabilities in a relatively user-friendly system. Good response when submitting a request or a new ticket. Very easy to run financial reports and get data for franchise locations and store documents such as insurance certificates, owner certifications & franchise agreements.

Cons: The internal operational modules and the library where you can store documents could use an upgrade. Not a great place to put best practices, the forums are in a very outdated format and not user-friendly. The modules do not sync or communication between sales, operations, hub, etc. They seem to store their own data without easy of finding the appropriate information in a quick manner. Ability to sync emails to outlook is not very user friendly.

Pros: It's easy to run financial reports and get data for franchise locations and store documents. There are nice reports for most of what you would want to run.

Cons: The Field Ops Module. It's a nice feature and works well generally. My issue is the creation of the "visit" formats. Once you've started a visit, you can not modify your visit format if you've realized that a mistake has been made. You can edit the question, but not the answer and points section of the question. If it's a major issue, you have to redo the entire form, which is very time consuming.

Also, the search functionality is not very good. Way too many non-relevant topics come up, even when searching for the exact phrase of what you are looking for, it can be buried 5 pages back.

Pros: Once you get it set up for your specific company and learn the workarounds, FranConnect is relatively easy to use. The best thing about the software, quite frankly, is their tech support... very patient and thorough (although takes a while to get the wheels in motion on any given issue since they are "offsite" and there seems to be a long queue).

Cons: A number of the modules and steps within them are simply not intuitive to set up or navigate. Most difficult is the creation and implementation of e-mail campaigns. Granted, this could be because we are not on the most recent version.

Overall: I have used FranConnect while working with a number of Franchisors. Have looked into others but have not found one as committed and responsive to the franchise industry as they are.

Pros: We originally moved to FranConnect to manage franchise sales leads. It has worked great for that. It's also nice to be able to deliver the FDD electronically through the system. The Franchise Opener is very helpful to manage new franchisees through the opening process. As for the Intranet portion, most used is the Library, allowing for the storage and download of various documents, files & graphics.

Cons: We weren't getting a lot of engagement with the Intranet forum, so we have a separate program we now use for that. Main con for us is that we are on their older platform, so we don't get the updates/features one gets on their newer Sky platform. New users shouldn't have that issue.

Pros: Hard to say, not many positives for the product. Best pro of the product would have to be the ability to keep all of the Franchise related documents/files in one place so our users could see it. Also useful place to put one click links to secure websites/info for the users.

Cons: Literally everything else. Their search system is god awful, you cannot find anything by searching something, you have to comb through everything you have in your database to find anything. The way to download files is more confusing than ever, especially for your Franchise users. I can't say much about the info manager/sales section since I didn't work in that portion of the system.

But updating users / Franchises was a nightmare, no ability to change multiple franchises at once, you have to manually go into each separate Franchise to check if it has the correct information, hit save, the system would then boot you out and put you back to a blank search page instead of the search page you originally created.

Pros: FranConnect makes it easy to manage my lead flow and stay in touch with candidates. It allows me to create beautiful email templates that are functional and beautiful at the same time. Work flows do a lot of the work for me as well as email campaigns that go out automatically. Their support is friendly and patient when I run across issues that I can't figure out on my own.

Cons: Like any software, occasionally things change, things that were working yesterday all of a sudden are not working today. But as mentioned above, just a quick email to help desk and they are on it and fix any issues very fast.

Pros: Before we had this software, we were trying to manage all the different aspects of our business on our own. After looking at several different solutions, we chose to do business with Franconnect as they had significant experience in our space and could handle the size of our business and the growth that would come. Their customer support is WONDERFUL!

Overall: My franchised company, Just Between Friends, has been a customer of Franconnect for quite some time. Their solutions help our corporate staff and our franchisees make the most of their day through efficient modules and support tools. The FC team is quick to respond if we have questions or need support or service of any kind.

Pros: It does cover quite a bit of the needs for franchise business support. It allows you to manage all of your contacts within one platform. The Hub and Info Manager are the best modules. Great for data sharing and data maintenance.

Cons: The Sales and support modules need improvements. The sales campaign manager is pretty weak, and very poor quality compared to other paid email subscription services. There is very little customization or design that can be done within the platform.

The support module appears to be new to Franconnect. It needs updates, it is currently FAR too basic. Needs much higher level capabilities in order to be able to work in it properly.

Overall: Overall, the customer experience has been good. They are very responsive with your questions/concerns. Oftentimes they are not able to help with your concerns though, as it is usually called a "system update" and they claim to send to their development team for future updates.

Pros: I like that the FranConnect software has so many components right at my fingertips. The different modules add up to the collection of so much of our systems information.

Cons: Because we are event based and not brick and mortar, we are still on an outdated, highly customized version of FranConnect. I would love to be able to move to Franconnect Skye, since from what I've seen, it is a much better system for what we need.

Overall: On the old software, we have experienced outages during very important times for our events. FC usually responds very quickly to our needs and works hard to come up with workarounds on an outdated system, to take care of us!

Pros: Pros are that FranConnect keeps everything about every lead in one place so I'm not hunting all over the place to find this or that. It saves time, frustration, and my nerves, I dare say it adds years to my life.

I can call, email, message, and text the leads. I get email reminders in my Google inbox so I don't forget when I'm supposed to call leads.

When I need help, the FranConnect Help Desk team are there for me every.single.time. without.fail! They are so, so, so good at what they do and I can see the 'smile' on their faces even though we're on the phone. Two of the reps helped me most recently and their help made my day SO MUCH BETTER! These two deserve some recognition and a raise in my opinion! :)

Cons: It's slow sometimes but for all the good it does, I can deal with this.

Overall: Over-all my experience with FranConnect is stellar!

Pros: Training, support and functionality. If you use this tool as its designed it will help you make more sales guaranteed!

Cons: Its a little overwhelming. Its so robust and it can produce so many reports you can get overwhelmed. Most sales people are not IT competent so there needs to be a shared component of access for access.

Overall: FranConnect provides a terrific CRM system for our franchise sales department and also Intranet for our franchisee network. A terrific partner for us so we can focus on our business rather than trying to build these necessary tools.

Pros: Love that all our stores' information is located in one platform. Ease for all of our departments to gain access to the pertinent information they need. Very easy to navigate from one tab to the other and upload and modify information.

Cons: Currently we are not able to search over multiple tabs. However, once our upgrade is complete, that will be remedied.

Overall: I have been working with the FranConnect Franchise Software for 9 years. In that time, I have come to depend on the excellent customer service and ease of customization.

Pros: This software keeps our records organized, captures all of our business communications and simplifies our sales processes.

Cons: I have not had a bad experience yet. I am sure I will not run into anything that the FranConnect will not address.

Overall: We have been using FranConnect for several years and recently have begun the process of updating to the new FranConnect Sky. The customer service has been excellent. The training and support we have received thus far is beyond compare to any other CRM system I have ever used. I recommend this company without hesitation!

Pros: I love the training module and the HUB

It helps us to communicate with all our franchisees and their team members instantly- especially alerts

Cons: I dislike that we cannot just update our training videos. We have to completely remove them shut training down and add the new one. If we have to remove and add new- all team members lose thier completed classes-very difficult

Overall: The ease of communicating with our franchisees- one platfrom- they must check in with franConnect to tay on top odf all upcoming events and updated information.

Pros: It's a great franchise sales specialized CRM. The system and process have been pioneer by many franchisors. It's almost out of the box ready to use and the FranConnect account manager are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Cons: Can be hard to customize to some very specific needs you may have.

Overall: We started using FranConnect just over one year ago. The system is process driven which really increased our efficiency and our result. Best part of the tool is the ability to gain industry knowledge and access to best practices. I would highly recommend.

Recommendations to other buyers: Best investment we made in our franchise sales department. This was a game changer for us.

Pros: Distinct modules that make it easy to find the information you're looking for. Franchise location IDs are always link-able in pages or reports. Good reporting functionality.

Cons: Options for reports are not always the same / have the same look or feel from one report to another.

Overall: We use FranConnect for finance reporting, sales ranking among our franchisees, as a sales tool and also customer relationship management.

Comments: We decided to move forward with FranConnect in September of 2016. Since we have begun the transition and started using the system...our experience with the company has been above par. This system is a whole new venture for our company -- we are very small, 5 person "head office" -- so we knew this was going to be a big project for us to take on, but with the, above and beyond, help of Amber Hawkes we have been able to have a mostly seamless transition into the Sales, Info Manager and Hub modules.

I also am thoroughly impressed with the training available. Liz Colon has been great. She is clear and concise during the sessions. She answers questions quickly after the training is over and we need assistance on something. The Ask the Experts are a great added benefit to anyone using FranConnect.

I look forward to adding on more modules as we continue to build our relationship with FranConnect!

Pros: It stores all of our franchisees information in one location.

Cons: Usability and reporting features need work. Specifically the reporting features, as we store quite a bit of information that is not able to be transferred into reports.

Overall: Overall, I think that FranConnect has a good base of features they offer. Their customer service is ran through a help desk email, which can be difficult to really communicate your issues in order to get the correct resolution. The reporting features are lacking customization, and leaves a whole lot of information out of reach unless you go through each franchisee sales report 1 by 1.

Pros: There are many features that are easy to use. Easy to add emails and create campaigns. Easy to search and update information.

Cons: Occasionally super slow, times out and dies in the middle of using. Many times when updates are done, then other things break and it takes awhile to get fixed.

You cannot copy information in to certain field, you have to type it in, which is laborious.

Would be nice to have fields to auto populate from one screen to another.

Overall: Overall this is a good, robust CRM and I like it

Pros: Navigation is easy and includes everything we need

Cons: You have to know the owner or number name to search, which means you have to know all of your customers or refer to other office websites or spreadsheets, which can be time consuming and frustrating. When you have hundreds of clients, you simply can't remember them all.

Pros: I simply like all of the functionality of this software. It makes tracking leads, sending out information to leads, and monitoring all aspects of our franchise system easy.

Pros: There is a huge amount of potential to this software. They are also very responsive when I have a question.

Cons: Not sure I will ever figure out all of the functionality. I can't find a way to attach emails I send to clients outside of the system.

Pros: Searches come up quickly and you can search by territory number or name of the owner. The tabs that provide quick access to information and serve as a reminder when entering a new owner.

Cons: Not being able to search for documents under the document tab.

Pros: It is easy to use. The program flows naturally. Easy to learn. Everything we need all in one place!

Cons: Would like the ability to make more changes on our own, verus having it done through customer support.

Overall: When we transitioned from FranConnect to FranConnect Sky, our rep was there for us every step of the way. We trained for nearly a week, and she continued to support us long after our in person training!

Pros: I truly like the customization of the system and ability to create workflows for specific events, triggers, etc.

Cons: The customization to build any field in the system is great but when you customize you do not have all of the original functionality of the product.

Pros: I love the support that you get from the FranConnect team. This is not a super easy platform to adjust to, but it is nice to have them available. They respond quick and are eager to have a phone call session to walk through issues. Great support makes this platform easier and more successful on implementation.

Cons: I wish there was more control on the training side. It is very regimented to operations within guidelines. You cannot have a lot of freedom with the creation of the material.

Pros: The software is well thought out in design through superb front end support. Franc connect is more than just a software vendor, they are part of our team.

Cons: Anything I did not like initially was updated rather quickly, so nothing at this time.

Pros: What I like the most about FranConnect is the visibility into our sales pipeline. As a sales manager, having this insight and reporting capability is of top priority to our organization.

Cons: We integrated from an antiquated system and due to this fact, we did not have a smooth transition during implementation. The FC team handled us to the best of their ability.

Overall: We now have better insights, reporting, pipeline, data tracking and robust marketing tools at our fingerprints.

Pros: It's very easy to upload files. Customer Service generally responds pretty quickly.

Cons: Glitches - especially if you're using HTML.

Overall: It's not a perfect system, but none are. Overall, it's easy to use and customer service is responsive. It's just not very sophisticated. It probably works best if you just want to use the supplied templates and not do your own design.

Cons: As with most software, the UX can be improved.

Overall: FranConnect is essential to our franchising sales effort. It onboards leads, tracks progress, helps our sales people establish a rhythm and lets me know what's going on. We also bought some of their marketing software to help our franchisees track their own sales efforts at the local level. The only reason I stopped short of 5 stars in some categories: FranConnect is undergoing a good kind of transition. They hired great people with SaaS experience who will combine software expertise with legacy franchise expertise to improve the user interface and some other aspects of the system needing work. I recommend to any franchising executive that they give FranConnect serious consideration. They will be up to 5 stars in no time.

Pros: The button on the app that shows only the unanswered questions.

Cons: Automatic tasks being generated on the app with no way of removing them unless logging into the web-based version.

Overall: I had some issues with the app and the team worked diligently to fix everything. They did not stop until it was right, even though it took months. It was so nice working with this crew, as I could tell how passionate they were to make this system work. Thank you to the whole team who helped my the app right on my phone!

Last year we incubated our second brand and didn't think twice about using FranConnect for this company has well. Comments: The system is great however for a Saas model it doesn't do a lot of the standard things like a sales force etc. We get a lot of No's and have to figure out workarounds to get the system to work the way we want it to. The password security in the candidate portal is dated and needs to be updated to 2017 security standards.
