While AC does not try to fulfil every user's needs, it allows its users to connect natively to the best apps relating to email and customer automation. Additionally, their customer support tools are excellent, as well as their onboarding process. Pros ActiveCampaign has so many powerful features that I don't even take advantage of, but I'm still learning more about them. My favourite feature of ActiveCampaign is the built-in support and one-on-one calls. In addition to learning how to automate, learn how to use Deals, and organize my contacts better, I used them to learn how to automate. In addition, it is compatible with other tools, such as Stripe and Thinkific, which has enabled me to create an entirely automated onboarding process for my program clients. Cons Sometimes it's a bit hard to find the answers to all of the questions I have. As the operation dashboard is so robust and fully featured, sometimes you do get lost, but it's definitely worth the money. The navigation and features are incredibly simple and user-friendly. I can argue that automation is more sophisticated than other email services I've used because it's easy to grasp. AC allows me to track student progress at a deep level, reward them for their engagement in a course, and also deliver targeted offers to new visitors who are exploring the free teaser content for the first time. Pros What I like most is that everything is intuitive, easy to find, and simple to setup what I want to do with one-off emails and automations. Sometimes a message would get lost while editing and saving an email within a sequence, which required me to make text doc backups while writing. Also their site has this annoying announcement that pops up when you save something, and it hangs above the nav bar for like three seconds, with no way to X it out, it blocks you from using the nav buttons, and totally slows down workflow. I’ve been to their headquarters for events. I’ve seen them sponsor great causes. I’ve seen them hiring people in ethical ways. Beyond the product being amazing and the service being amazing the company does a lot of good in the way they operate and hire and train and support the community. They have it together. I love how they have even empowered me through their products. They have also given me surprise gifts over the years for being a great customer. I love that. I even got a giftcard for sharing how much I love them on here. Pros The customer success team is by my side to make sure that I make the most out of this product that I understand how it works. I never felt alone when I talk to one of their team members. They help me get way more than I could have ever imagined. It’s awesome scheduling calls with them. I liked that I can automate my on boarding process. I like that I could get a lot of data that big companies get out of my potential clients being a small business owner. Cons Sometimes the software is slow. But it’s pretty much fine. Sometimes their text support is really slow and has long wait times. Not every person in the chat is quick to respond. But it’s still handy none the less. Still think it’s an amazing product and company. Reason for choosing ActiveCampaign AC was a clear choice. Also I think we could use more of his potential. Pros What I like about Active Campaing is the easy way to manage your leads and how you can keep your channles integrate. For example, we use Instapage to manage our landing pages, and the integration between Instapage and Active Campaing is pretty simple. This allow us to track and tag every contact that leaves info in the form. Also you can have a historic of each contact, and see what is the status in the automation. You can do a lot of funtions in the automations, to deliver personalized content to the leads. Cons Part of my job is to create content relevant for the campaings and e-mails that we send to our contacts in each stage of the funnel. The thing I like least about Active Campaign is the widget to design of the templates. I created our own template and I have so much problems with logos and adpating them in to the template. Also, for a responsive view (mobile) is the same, the logos are not in the right size or location. I think is not intuituive and easy for those who arent designers. Review Source Mauro S. I even had one rep who built out an entire custom automation for me based on my needs. Pros I held back from investing in ActiveCampaign for over a year because of the overall cost. What I didn’t realize then was that I would be able to cancel FOUR other software subscriptions thanks to the robust suite of features that AC has. This software has played a critical role in my ability to grow my business by over 150% this year and I would recommend it to anyone! Cons I would give my left leg for AC to have mobile functionality. They don’t have an app and the mobile version of their site is non-functional. It quite literally can only be used on a computer. This is the one place where AC is severely behind their competitors. Cons Little things.. if you try to sort a customer's activity by emails only it shows processing but takes so long to bring back the results that I've never actually seen any. Also, you cannot move images from one folder to another once you've uploaded them. It works amazing for all these use cases. Pros It's very rare to find so much functionality while retaining ease of use. I've been a consultant implementing and managing marketing automation and CRMs for 10 years, and AC has become my go to solution for all my clients. The CRM has come a long way in the past few years and now beats just about all of them that do both CRM and Automation. The integration with Ecom platforms like Shopify are also a huge benefit. Cons For years I would tell clients if they needed a CRM and they were doing personal sales that they should use Infusionsoft, but I can't say that anymore. Infusionsoft's CRM has become worse over time while AC's CRM has become much more powerful. One thing I wish AC would add is more functionality in the math actions for changing fields. If we could use different fields and formulas in the math to make calculations for custom fields, rather than just simple +-X/ then that would be amazing. I currently have to use Zapier to do that and it's not even that great with Zapier. Pros In Nov 2020 I transitioned from Keap to Active Campaign. The importing process was smooth and the help was superb. Active Campaign has been very easy to use, setting up automations, deals, contacts, and campaigns. The learning curve to get up and running was short and there was help along the way. And I am not paying an arm and a leg for the services that I need. Also, I get high deliverability with my emails compared to my previous plugin which was just on WordPress. Pros I really like the wide variety of automations and customizations that can be created. Cons The UI could have some improvements, especially the email designer, which feels and looks quite old-fashioned. The list clean-up function could also be improved, as it lets you select active contacts (???) instead of inactive ones. That doesn't make any sense to me. So I have to work around it through filters in contacts, instead of using that function. Pros Active campaign can handle a lot of your customer contact metrics. You can run email campaigns, track engagement, and retargeting campaigns. The software is easy and straightforward to use. With a grasp on how email marketing works, you can easily find your way around the software and get to the campaigns, contacts, lists, and automation you need to access. Also, your payment plan is based on the number of contacts you have, so if your contact is subscribed to multiple lists, you are not charged any extra. Cons The email editor is a bit plain. If you don't know coding, your emails will all look similar or you're stuck using the templates they provide, many of which look outdated.
