The software itself is the best we've experienced for email autoresponders. Pros Switching to ActiveCampaign has been a great business decision. Creating automations and flows triggered by customer activity has been a breeze and I commend their customer service for being readily available to answer any questions. Cons There is a large learning curve for this software. Many of their written tutorials on their website don't fully answer the questions I needed answered. That alone is worth its weight in gold in an era of unreliable entities. The product is powerful-but-intuitive. And the pricing system scales in a pretty balanced way; it doesn't suddenly skyrocket like a lot of email services do. Pros This is a very powerful email distribution program, with the ability for complex autoresponder sequences, segmentation, etc. Yet the interface is pretty intuitive overall. And the customer service is unmatched. Cons Due to the level of complexity, there ARE going to be some features that take a little bit of figuring out. I've found this to be easier, though, than for comparable products, and if I can't figure it out myself, customer service has always been good about pointing me in the right direction. Cons If you want to use tasks, you either have to log into the system daily, or set up an automation that sends you an email notification when a task is due-- and the task does not link to associated contacts or deals in the pipeline, so you have to hunt those down in addition to building out an automation just to get a task notification. I love that when I have a question I can easily get help on the chat. One thing that really is a sore point that I can’t shake off is that I signed up and then 3 weeks later was notified by a colleague in my group that they got a years membership at 50% off?!!! I asked my rep and was told it wasn’t possible. This to me is disappointing, as a deal like that would definitely help me greatly! And the fact that I had signed up just 3 weeks before and really hadn’t used it till 4 weeks later. Very upsetting. Pros I like it’s ability to get really specific with your communications while getting back quality data that can be used to improve your approach. Cons The email templates are really lacking in design options. Also designing the template is not very user friendly. There are a lot of points of tension I’ve experienced while working on my first email campaign whilst using the builder. There’s also a lot that AC can do so the learning curve is quite steep. The flow with all the icons on the menu bar of AC isn’t intuitive to me, at least not yet. I’ve been using Photoshop and illustrator for over 13 years but find it challenging navigating AC. It really went all. Automation is awesome, the best is to have someone who knows how to use it efficiently, and someone who is good at copywriting and activation. Once you got that, Active Campaign is because a tool your company cannot let go of. Pros We used Active Campaigns to create some automation into our customer journey. We planned key points in this journey, on our platform, and automated email blast to users. The goal was to able to do project relaunch, account confirmations, retargetting or even retention. It went great. We actually didn't even use it to its full potential. It has got so much in store. Cons It has got so many option. Absolutely a shame if you don't have someone who truly knows how to use it. Pros ActiveCampaign has so many integrations, a strong API, a marketplace for everything (including automation) a strong community and so much more. It's a mature platform, that's constantly getting more powerful. Cons The email editor is just horrible. It's clunky, it's ugly, it doesn't show all the sequence, even editing an email is a hassle. That's why I left ActiveCampaign. And customer service is reachable only by email. Which slows down the resolution of any issue. Dal punto di vista dell’implementazione tecnica, è un software molto semplice e pratico, in pochissimo lavoro il nostro reparto di tecnici è riuscito a fare l’integrazione con i nostri software e devo dire che, ad oggi, non abbiamo riscontrato problemi tecnici di alcun tipo. It's great for the price, and I'd strongly recommend watching a few tutorials to figure out what it can and cannot do for your business. Pros The core components of ActiveCampaign just work, be that the email editor, contact management or marketing campaigns - I've never had any issues designing and sending out content to my lists, and managing lists has been straightforward. Cons Lot's of non-core components are hidden behind a frustratingly high number of clicks, and it took me a while to figure out which features are even available. Basic things like sending emails to leads within activecampaign takes way too long, often needing a refresh of the whole page - and automating custom fields is not really intuitive. Tons of free personal 1:1 help, which I never expected. Pros Switched to ActiveCampaign from Pipedrive via ConvertKit and Keap - this is something else. I am so impressed. Very easy to use and well laid out, it is easy to create some of the most robust automated customer follow ups I have seen. AC blows the other softwares out of the water. It works, it is easy to understand and it is the most powerful peace of software I have seen in years. I am so pleased my grin goes all the way around my head. Cons Customer service gave 8-10 min waiting time on their chat support these days, and that is just not good enough. Used two weeks with help from a keap consultant and was still not near to be up and running. Used two days in AC on my own, as comparison. Further on Keap does not support country soesific characters in customers names, so I could not import my list, a ton of stuff does not work outside US, so it turned out there was not much left we could actually use. The rock at marketing, but the software - not for us!! It's fine. It will do the basic functions an email marketer needs. You can do first-party tracking. You can do A/B testing. In an imperfect world, it will do. Cons Their customer service members are wildly incompetent. They have a free live chat, but it's useless because they will always say your problem is too hard and they need to move it over to email. Whether you ever hear from them again is anyone's guess. You might. You might not. They also have a Facebook community where you can ask questions, but they have to approve every post. That means you'll never hear complaint from other users... because they're not allowed to complain. TL;DR If you have a small budget, this might be the best you can do. But you better hope you can get real answers from Google. So that is why I turned to ActiveCampaign. It has been less than 6 months since I have signed up and so far it is going good and is helpful. The transition over from Constant Contact was a struggle for me since I don't like change. However I knew this change was a good one. Pros It is easy to maneuver through the dashboard and create campaigns. It is affordable and for a small business (only me) with over 6,000 customers the price point is WAY better than InfusionSoft. Cons It took a long time for onboarding. I wish they were able to complete it within one single week vs over the span of a month. It seems like they would prefer to have you keep your contacts in the hundreds vs growing to the thousands. Their pricing structure shows that.
