We chose it because of the automations, though ended up, not using them as often as we expected, because we are a small company. If you’re looking for an email client that can do it all and has powerful automations, this is the one. Cons It’s just too expensive and the email builder is a little outdated so it is possible to make really good looking emails but it’s not as easy as some of the newer and simpler services. I have a few automations that allow me to give values to my followers. Pros I love making Automations and there are a lof of examples suggested by them. I can manage my list of contacts easily and see the results of my campaigns. Their contents (newsletter, articles) are pretty good too and give a lot of information on how to have a better marketing strategy. Cons Sometimes the stats on the desktop version don't match the mobile version. It's a bit expensive too. I can then customize their account to their specific needs. For the most part my clients can use AC with minimal trouble to send email campaigns, manage contacts, etc. Pros I like that I can partner with AC as an agency and manage all of my clients through my account. Cons Some features can be buggy or glitchy. However support is usually able to sort it out. We ended up leaving Active Campaign for an integrated software solution (Kartra) that has worked better for us and at a lower cost. I love how easy it is to get started using just the basic features if that's all you want, and then grow into using more and more of everything. I've used over 10 different email & marketing automation platforms in my time, and ActiveCampaign is my absolute favourite by far. Pros I really love ActiveCampaign's powerful marketing automations. There is so much you can do to automate your buyer's journey and very little you can't build. I've only run into the limits of what ActiveCampaign can do a couple of times and I'm a serious power user. The visual automation builder makes it so easy to build all kinds of cool things. Cons I find the segment management a bit clumsy and frustrating. It's hard to organise your segments, especially if you have a lot, you can't see what segment an email campaign used after it was sent, and they don't sort alphabetically in the email creator window which makes finding the right one tricky. The automations are a helpful tool, as are the resend options. The customization options were pretty extensive, and the tag option is key for tagging individuals for specific email campaigns. We like being able to see who has last contacted or replied to an email, and the tracking system for opens, clicks, etc. is useful. Cons We use it for B2B, and there's a lot lacking in the functionality for creating companies. For example, there's no copy function that copies an individual contact (helpful for people from the same company), and the system doesn't autofill company address, even when you use the same company name from a drop-down list. The template user interface could be better -- for example, there's a visual editor in the campaign builder, but no visual editor offered when building a template. In my opinion, this makes no sense. We use custom HTML for most of our campaigns, and so not having a good editor for this function is frustrating. Review Source SV Sofie V. E, da quando lo usiamo, abbiamo notato un incremento nel tasso di ricezione delle email inviate alle nostre liste. Good " April 23, 2021 5.0 Choosing Active Campaign has been a great move for us to save some money but I would caution folks who are looking for hands-on account management and support or who are not technically proficient. We have a pretty technically sound team so we did all of the set up ourselves - given my experience with our account manager - I'd be worried if he was responsible for helping a less technical team set up their account/integrations etc. Pros We came to Active Campaign from Pardot and what we like MOST is the price difference. AC is much cheaper and has all the core functionality (and more) that you need to set up a pretty robust marketing automation and customer support system. Cons I gotta say the one detractor from giving them an all-around 5 star review has been the unresponsive nature of our contacts there. I have had a few billing questions and was trying to move to an annual contract and my dedicated account rep just flat out hasn't responded in weeks. I had to go back to the guy who originally sold us the software to get the invoice and forms I needed. I also tried to follow up with both of them to make sure we were good on the annual plan and haven't heard anything from either of them. So I have to say the customer support (from a billing/account management perspective) has been sub-optimal. Pros ActiveCampaign is great in lots of different ways. The email automation feature is great and emails look amazing when you send them. The targets feature is also good! Cons The main downside I have is that it is very complicated to set up mand maintain. I have spent a decade with email marketing and marketing in general and what takes me less than a few minutes to set up in other systems takes hours in AC. The customer service team is incredible and I was so glad to be able to text my contact when I decided to move over to AC RIIIIGHHHHTTT before a launch. He was able to help me quickly with questions and I was off and running with AC's learning content as well. Thank you! Pros I was a little daunted at the thought of moving over from Mailchimp, but AC made the entire process so easy! I love seeing the analytics and the ability to my customer's interactions on my website in addition to their journey in my email marketing. I also like tracking performance on the AC app and the ability to clean up inactive contacts in my list very easily in order to boost my open rates. Cons I wish the analytic tools were just a little bit more visually friendly and required less clicks to view. I like the activity stream on the right hand side of my dashboard, but I have to click around to each contact or go to the campaign itself to see more. I do wish I had access to landing pages on the Lite plan.
