It's a great way to set up automatic emails, make a template for your newsletter and more. I'm super happy to have it part of my business. Pros I love how active campaigns integrate with my website and my mentoring site on membervault. It's super easy and love they all speak to eachother with a few clicks! It makes my capturing leads, gathering emails super easy. Cons It does take some time to learn about the software but it's super customizable and they are always updating the system to make things even better! The automations are simple to set up and make running my business a piece of cake. I also love all the support they offer, the live chat option has saved me many times when I needed to get a quick answer. I also was able to attend an all day event where I learned so much about how to effectively use this tool and I am grateful for all the amazing resources they have available. Cons I use this for very basic marketing so I haven't run into any issues or downfalls about it. It is far more robust than my needs are but I like that with that it doesn't overcomplicate it for the basic needs I have. All around great product. For example, you can have 20,000 contacts and pay $75 per month if less than 1,500 are subscribed to email marketing. That's crucial for Real Estate companies because we tend to have tons of contacts, and many of them aren't appropriated for a email marketing list. The learning curve was very small compared to the confusion other software causes. Pros Active Campaign has so many features it competes with the more expensive automation apps but costs less. They make it so easy to set up we were up and running with it within a few hours of setting up our account. Being able to quickly import contacts and segment them quickly is huge. Cons We have a lot of contacts that work for the same company. It would be nice to be able to group them together under a company. I have found the support and ease of use much better than many of the competitors that I've tried. Pros I was given amazing support, especially when first using the software. I even had an individual call with their support team to show me how to use certain functions and explain various aspects. It's simple and easy to use and integrates really well with most other software I use e.g. Click funnels and Acuity without needing something like zapier. Cons That as my list grows I have to pay more for my monthly subscription, but to be honest I can understand that. Pros For me ActiveCampaign is essential for marketing. We collect leads, segment them with tags in AC and run automations and different funnels for the leads. With AC, we are able to do the right tagging, update the contacts with the activity protocol and live-update our Facebook Custom Audiences based on the behaviour of the users. Cons The pricing might go high with a high amount of leads, but you can change between Active and Passive leads, so this can be handled easily. ActiveCampaign's robust functionality has helped us streamline our work and grow our business. Pros ActiveCampaign is robust in it's functionality and features. We primarily use it for email marketing campaigns and segmenting target audiences. It helps us automate a lot of the follow-up process as well. We have also leveraged the deal flow / CRM aspects of it at periods too. The email plug-in / chrome extensions are useful as well. Cons Compared to other CRMs we've used to track leads, it's not as easy to use. It can be a little clunky and since it's processing a lot of data can be slow at times. Also, when I added the plug-in for gmail, I realize it is also pulling in contacts from my personal account...I haven't found an easy way to turn it off on my other gmail accounts and only use for work (but I'm sure that's user error). July 6, 2020 5.0 Considering that most other software tools I use have the option to integrate with AC (which is super handy) and that through the automations I'm able to build in AC I'm able to simplify my marketing and boost results, and all for a very reasonable price, Active Campaign is a no-brainer for me and my business. Pros From day one I've always been a fan of AC, their marketing automations are easy to set up and use to boost my e-mail marketing and take it to a whole new level. Through their solution I'm easily able to automate, segment and communicate with my leads and customers and I'm not limited by a lack of functionality like with so many other providers. Cons The only real thing that always bugged me in AC is their labeling system for things like automations, forms, lists etc. It's a minor thing but it could be a lot more intuitive considering it's a basic function. The only other thing I can think to mention is that, although their customer support is great, it can take over an hour sometimes sitting on their support chat before a representative comes on. Pros I like that they have everything in place. The one area they do a great job is their automation abilities and email marketing- love this with AC. Cons They are, however, missing the mark in almost every other area. I find the software just is missing one too many key features within each of the other areas of the software that make it 'good' but not 'great'. For example, the segmenting of contacts - They miss the mark on allowing users to segment by date/time which makes it difficult to break apart contacts based on key time-based events... simple to do but missing. Or conversations, it's great that's all in one place but lacks a lot of function you can get else where. I've used a few different email marketing programs and definitely think ActiveCampaign is the best - the tagging features are way superior to a lot of the entry level offerings and the automations are fantastic. On top of this, the service is brilliant and I feel confident in the team's ability to help me with any issues I'm experiencing. Cons Because it is so powerful, it can be a little confusing to new users who aren't tech-savvy. There is plenty of education though, so I do believe it is worth pursuing. Pros What I like most is that ActiveCampaign is an all-in-one E-Mail Marketing tool, that enables the sendout of newsletters, the creation of e-mail marketing automations, lists, landing pages and much more. The tool has great integrations with Zapier that enables lead generation campaigns from other marketing channels (e.g. Meta, Google). E.g. we target users interested in our white papers on Facebook and integrate them to our e-mail marketing campaigns with ActiveCampaign. Cons For highly customized layouts and designs, ActiveCampaign is not the right tool. The landing pages do not really look very nice, and it is not easy customizing them. Furthermore, we had problems reaching the support the time our account got blocked. The Lead Scoring capabilities in ActiveCampaign are given, however they are not easy and intuitive. I think there's still lots of room for improvement and feature upgrades but overall, I've found my email deliverability to be even better than when I was on IS. Pros I migrated to AC after using Infusionsoft for over 10 years. None of these apps are 100% perfect but I was surprised how quickly I was able to migrate my funnels/automations to AC. We migrated away from IS because of the way they treated us as a long-time customer. I like the templated automations AC has that can get you setup quickly for common, simple automations. Good volume of integrations and the price for email marketing & marketing automations is pretty good vs other apps on the market that much more expensive. I can do a lot out of the box vs Infusionsoft I had to purchase additional 3rd party integrations/apps to achieve the same results. Cons I haven't experienced it myself (yet), but I see a lot of complaints about slow support response which is worrying. I do find the email editor to be clunky and rather dated compared to Infusionsoft's email builder. The UI could have better and quicker access to certain sections where it takes a few clicks to get to sections (e.g. takes too many clicks to go and manage tags). I see a lot of feature requests that are pretty much there for a long time with no real timeline for implementation which is a little worrying. Review Source WT Wendy T. It has most of the functionality I need, it's intuitive and the support is excellent. Pros AC is easy to learn and use. It can be as simple or sophisticated as you need it to be. Cons Better integration with Kajabi would be useful and Wordpress is clunky. My biggest gripe is that emails seem to go to spam more than with Infusionsoft.
