Pros

I've used two other email automation software before getting to ActiveCampaign. I am a new customer and use the platform daily, and so far, it's been great. The customer service alone is 5 stars. There are always issues when transitioning to a new system, and in the short 3 months we've been active, the customer service reps have been there via phone or chat every step of the way to help. There are so many features available for so many different possible uses of the product, which makes ActiveCampaign a great option for many different industries. The integration is great so far, and we are only just beginning to see the full potential of workflow automation, tagging, and more.

Cons

My biggest (and probably only issue) with the software is some features aren't as intuitive as a user would expect. For example, when looking for reports about customers, your instinct is to go to the reports tab, when the data you're looking for is in the customer tab. It's not too difficult to navigate, but it can be a little frustrating when you can't find something because you're looking in the wrong place but don't realize it.

ActiveCampaign is an excellent marketing automation platform. Their customer support team is responsive.

Pros

ActiveCampaign is an excellent marketing automation tool, especially for B2B organisations. Very easy to use.

Cons

Events tracking is as powerful as other tools (e.g. you can't filter on event properties in workflows) but this functionality isn't necessary for most organisations. You cannot yet trigger automations based on Account property changes.

### "Offers More Than I Use Currently But That Is One Of It's Strengths"

ActiveCampaign gives me options for the future which is very important. Previously, I'd use X for email, Y for CRM management and so on. But now I don't need anything else to run the email marketing, automation and CRM side of my business. When I first got started with AC, their support team and onboarding were invaluable. It doesn't take a lot of money overall to run my business, and AC is one of the more expensive elements, but it is worth it, without a doubt.

Pros

Support, support, support. Without the high level of support ActiveCampaign offers, I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I'm not tech savvy and it is certainly more of a handful than some of the other providers. But having such an amazing support system in place means that even if I get stuck, the answer is only an email / webinar / knowledgebase answer away

Cons

I am paying for a ton of features I'm not likely to use. Or, let me say it differently - use "yet".

Pros

Integrated very easily with Wordpress, the pricing for subscribers is fair (including upgrading and downgrading plans) and automation works great. Seemed to be the best one stop solution for our e-mail subscriber needs.

Cons

Automation could have a bit better of an interface but it gets the job done.

There are many benefits to using AC, first and foremost I think is the ease of learning to use the software. The AC team ensures you have the tools you need to learn the ins and outs of the software and the customer service team is second to none. The automation pipelines and ease of integrating your tools from other software/social media puts AC a notch above their competitors.

Pros

The ability AC gives me the ability to segment my contacts down to the nitty gritty and market to my customers efficiently and effectively. The analytics and event tracking allow me to see how my customers interact with my brand and what they are most interested in. The email automation pipelines have revolutionized how I market my business, I'm very pleased with AC!

Cons

There are a few things I'd like to see improved: predictive sending on single email campaigns, more in depth tracking of customer behavior, etc.

Pros

I've been using ActiveCampaign for a while and what I like most is that it sticks the messaging aspect of marketing automation. It doesn't try to be an all-in-one solution like some of the other platforms. It integrates with most other tools, making it so that you can choose the best of each for your stack. The site and event tracking are key to the automations that we use as well and that's a feature I don't see on other platforms in the market.

Cons

A better looking form builder/designs would be great since, using the native Active Campaign form allows for better tracking.

Cons

The customer support and onboarding was sort of left to us to figure out. We had to lean on YouTube quite a bit. It also is not able to have account based functionality

Fabulous

Pros

I’ve used the free version of Mailchimp, and as my email list grew to a point where I would have to start paying for an account, I started looking around. After doing lots of research settled on ActiveCampaign, and while I’m only just learning how to use all the features available, I’m so pleased with it! I’m no technical wizard, but it’s clear how much more usable the platform is - I’ve got lots more to learn but for a relatively small monthly payment, I can now start creating way more targeted campaigns and building better relationships with the people on my list. Highly recommended!!

Cons

Nothing yet! I need to learn how to use the more advanced functions, but I’m more than happy right now!!

I like it. I've used a ton of email marketing software. I can't complain.

Pros

I love that my emails get delivered and that it's easy to send out emails. Active Campaign is robust and less complex compared to some other software. I love that you can share campaigns. I really need to use that option more often.

Cons

I wish that I knew how to use the software better. There's so much functionality that I don't even use. I need some additional training or a specialist to support me.

For about 2 years, I have used Active Campaign for all of my clients. I believe they are amazing. I think their customer service is the best part. I always receive a prompt and useful response, and trust me, I seek for assistance frequently.

Pros

I like that it is very effective. You can set up automation in a matter of minutes. You do not have to have a tech background.

Cons

If you do not have experience you might have some difficulties using it and its not beginner friendly.

Overall I plan to continue using AC because it has everything I need. The marketing automation capabilities are top notch and that is the most important thing to me.

Pros

The thing I like most about AC is it's marketing automation capabilities. It's one of the easiest to get up and running, has a ton of options for triggers and events, and is powerful for segmentation.

Cons

The thing I like least about AC is that it is somewhat slow. Also, the mobile app is not very intuitive and requires a few more clicks to edit deals that I would like.

It has been very positive.

Pros

While Hubspot is the 500 pound gorilla in the industry, ActiveCampaign offers many of the core features for a fraction of the cost. I was especially interested in the email automation as that is core to our sales funnel for our new software, Beyond Typicals.

Cons

When I edit the automation emails the email editor is very primitive. I may be doing it incorrectly but I'm used to drag and drop creators and couldn't figure out how to use one with ActiveCampaign.

Our sales and marketing teams use it every day - it's reliable, accessible enough for everyone to use but powerful enough to allow for some customization and automation. We really like it.

Pros

E-mail creation interface is very easy to use, a lot of customization options, automations can be incredibly powerful, ability to connect with Salesforce is huge.

Cons

Subscription management can be a little confusing, lead scoring is a little difficult to get the hang of, reporting interface needs some polish/more usability.

Pros

I love the automation capability to send reminders and emails to customers when a trigger is selected. It is customized to fit our needs.

Cons

It does take some time to learn and the tutorials are great. i also subscribe to the podcast to get better insight to how to fully use the software. Plan of investing time to learn it is well worth it.

### "The best value for the price point"

My email list has grown significantly and more importantly, I have an intentional way to grow and manage my list well.

Pros

I was looking for email management, landing pages, and tagging functionality. What I wanted to accomplish was not feasible from a price perspective with some other software packages. It was too expensive to add on all the right tools. Likewise, something cheap was not going to meet my needs either. AC has been a perfect compromise.

Cons

While AC does a really good job at onboarding, it's still a little steep of a learning curve. I'd love some more contextual tips, recipes, and/or internal resources to build out some key features.

Great experience overall. Excellent functionality for the cost, compared to other solutions with comperable capabilities. Implementation is quick and easy. Excellent documentation and support options.

Pros

Ease of implementation and cost. High value compared to other solutions.

Cons

Manual contact and list management. It's a bit clunky, since it assumes virtually all contacts are organically sourced. I use the system for client/customer communications and have to manage lapses and new business by adding contact manually. Having to activate each field in a new contact record (first, last name, email, title, address/city/state, and all custom fields) requires a lot of clicking/tabbing.

Overall, I'm happy with ActiveCampaign. We've been using it for over 2 years and helping clients use it for their marketing automation. They offer many automation recipes you can import into your account, which gives you a fully functional automation campaign already mapped out for you. Just update content and stuff, and it's ready to go. Saves a lot of time.

Pros

ActiveCampaign has really good automation features, far more flexible than Mailchimp or Hatchbuck (what we've used before). It's easy to create comprehensive, highly targeted automated campaigns to help leads down the funnel and to the sale. I also love using Chrome's Gmail extension to track my emails in GSuite.

Cons

The two major issues is CRM reporting and some stability issues with the platform. They've had a few issues last few weeks, but CTO promised they're working on improving everything and making platform more stable and reliable. They issues if they do pop up are fixed quickly, so it's not bad. Every platform has issues.

set up (besides the one mentioned below) is very easy, needs low maintenance, many features can be customized, support is very helpful

Cons

automations haven´t worked in the beginning, we had to set up our first campaign a few times until the software delivered properly. Handling (or at least some proper training videos) regarding automations could be easier and would be nice.

Pros

ActiveCampaign offers the best automation on the market. The ability to have smart lists (segmentation) and triggers allows you to send the right thing to the right person at the right time. I also like that automations are visualize which is lacking on some other platforms.

Cons

I think segmentation could be a bit more intuitive. The landing pages and forms can have more functionality and customizations.

Pros

Las pantallas de visualización de toda la campaña, el diseño del diagrama de flujo es super amigable y entendible; igualmente su manipulación. El manejo de la información contenida en los contactos, muy completa y amplia. Perfecta para clasificarlos y segregarlos.

Cons

Lo que me llevo un poco de tiempo fue configurar la landing page, sin embargo, con un poco de ayuda de un experto pude completarla y desde allí fue más fácil la siguiente vez.
